Chapter 1

《Yuri's POV》

It's Saturday, Natsuki agreed to come to the bookstore with me. Since I almost finished a series I've been, I decided it was a good time to get something new to read lined up and I thought it would have been better to go with Natsuki.

I was wearing a black dress with long sleeves and some black shoes. I flatten my dress as I wait in the park for Natsuki, a little nervous.

"Boo," Natsuki came up behind me, startling me a little bit. I turned to look at her, and she was wearing a white shirt with pink rims and a small pink cat face, along with a pink skirt while she has her hair was in her usual style.

We greet each other properly before we start walking down to the bookstore as we talked

Once we got to the store, we went our separate ways, I went to the fantasy section, and Natsuki went to the manga section. Nothing caught my eye, so I decided to look around some more. A few books had caught my eye in the horror section, 'Portrait of Markov' stood out to me the most though I haven't really read horror but this book looked interesting and after reading the blurb, I decided to take Portrait of Markov along with a few other horror books.

"You ready to go?" Natsuki had once again startled me. She had already bought her manga, and she had in a small plastic bag

"Oh, yeah, just let me pay for this."

I quickly pay, and we head out

We go to the ice cream place that Natsuki had mentioned, and as I 'promised', I got chocolate and strawberry while Natsuki only got strawberry

We go back to the park to finish our ice cream and to chat a bit more, talking about everything and nothing. Once we finish our ice creams, We decide to part ways and go home.

It doesn't take too long for me to get home.
"So, how was your date, kiddo?"
It also doesn't take long for my father to start asking me about it
"I-It wasn't a date, but it went well," I answer
"Good, I'm glad it did"
He gives me a tired smile before going back to his cross word

Nothing intresting happens for the rest of the day and I read for the rest of Sunday, So Monday felt like it came quickly.

Morning classes went by quickly  and lunch was soon upon us. I quickly made my way to the usual spot on the staircase, silently hoping that I'd see her there

To my disappointment, she wasn't there yet. I sit down on the step and I continue to read. I can hear footsteps, I look up to see the pinkette with manga and and we greet eachother and she sits in her usual spot, and we silently read our books.

Natsuki has been feeling better since the panic attack, though she still has the 'sick' feeling. she has been avoiding her ex friends, still too nervous to face them, which was understandable.

Lunch had finished, so Natsuki and I said our goodbyes to each other. Classes once again flew by, and it was already time for the literature club

I was the second to enter, after Natsuki entered soon after, and Sayori came in last as per usual. After a while, Monika grabs all of our attention

"We still need to think about what we're going to do for the school festival," Monika reminds

After some brainstorming, it was decided that Monika and Sayori would make pamphlets, Natsuki would bake some cupcakes, and I'd make the banner.

《Natsuki's POV》

Me and Yuri leave the club together
"Hey, would you maybe need any help with the banner?" I ask, slightly nervous. Yuri looks thoughtful for a moment before giving a smile, followed by a nod
"I'd be more than happy for your help,"

"Good choice, I'm the best help you can get. With my help, that banner is going to be amazing," I say with pride, which caused Yuri to give a gentle smile.

We come up to the turn where we usually split, so I wave her goodbye and continue my route home

I get home, and my dad is busy on the couch watching tv, so I quietly sneak past him and get to my room. Once there, I proceed to go online to read some comics on my phone.

After a few moments, I can hear footsteps coming up and approaching my door, I quickly turn off my phone, silently preparing for the worst. He passed my room seemingly going to to his, I assumed he'd to go to sleep, though I was soon proven wrong when I could hear him going back down. My phone vibrates, and I take a glance to see a message from Yuri

Purple dummy

Purple dummy: Do you want to come to my house next Saturday to make a start on the poster?

Natsuki: I'll ask my papa

At that, I muster up the courage to go downstairs, though I am little scared.
"Hey, Papa,"
"What?" He groans
"Can I go to a friends house on Saturday?" I quickly ask

He took a moment to answer, his eyes never leaving the tv. I grew more nervous as the seconds passed.
"Sure, whatever," he waves the remote at me dismissively.

I let out a breath of relief as I quickly made my way upstairs texting Yuri to tell her that I could come around to her house. I can't help but smile to myself

It's nice having something to look forward to

《Sayori's POV》

I stare out my window at a cat, It was a calico cat, this cat has been hanging around here recently, often found playing with rocks or pebbles, but it didn't seem to belong to anyone

It had followed me on my way home, though it didn't get close enough for me to pet it, sadly. Whenever I looked back at it, it was pretending as if it just happened to be there instead of actively chasing me.

The cat is sitting on top of a fence across the street, simply staring at me, occasionally looking away to watch a passerby. A tabby walks past below the calico. After a few moments, the calico quickly follows it.

Strangely enough, it gave me a poem idea, and so I wrote it down

Maybe I can show it to Monika tomorrow.

A/N: It feels nice writing again after such a long time, after I had time to improve (not by much but still) it makes the story seem a little better then the last.
