Chirps of the birds could be heard with the start of a new day. As the animals and the birds basked in the morning sunlight, the leaves danced to the autumn breeze in the beautiful song created by the beautiful wind chime in her room.

It was a beautiful morning. Peaceful and calm in its essence.

"RAGINI!"

'Only to be destroyed by Mum.' she thoughts with a mental sigh since she felt too lazy to do it physically.

"Ragini! Ragu beta wake up! It's already past 8 a.m!" her mother, came and pulled back the covers. "You are the future Queen of this kingdom! What will you people say if you wake up this late?!"

"Maa! I'll rule just fine. I'll just make it a rule for everyone to wake at 8. Then, if no one wakes before that, it won't make me a late riser." she mumbled and grabbed for her sheets.

Shomi swatted her hands away and grabbed the pillow. "You're getting up. Like it or not!" she pulled it from under Ragini's head, making her head land on the bed with a thud.

"Maa!" whined Ragini. "Maa, please! Can't I skip today? I mean I have always attended all my study sessions on time. I've also taken the etiquette classes you wanted me to take so that I can become a good Princess. And I also went through our country's affairs. Let me rest today."

"No! The future Queen of Rewa can't slack off!"

"The Queen wants to be a potato for today and not do anything. She just wants to be petted and left alone for today."

Shomi rolled her eyes at her words. "Such a dramebaaz! I'm certain you got that talent from your father."

"Don't insult Papa dearest Maa." Ragini yawned and decided to sleep without the covers and pillow.

Shomi smirked. "So you forgot today is the day you will be leaving for the new College? You were supposed to leave at 8."

Ragini's eyes popped open comically at her words. "Oh my! Maa, why didn't you tell me before!?" she at once hopped of from the bed and ran towards the washroom. "You should of woke me up!" she quickly washed her face and put paste on her toothbrush. "How cwwld yow dw twhwt tw wme?! Wm wate, I'm wate!"

Shomi sat down with subdued laughter at her daughter's attempt to speak while brushing. She watched in amusement as Ragini rushed back in to the room and ran back-and-forth to finish her make up.

Ragini felt like panicking as it was already 8 past. However, looking around, there was still some packing to be done which she had left the prev night, thinking she would do it the next day. "Maa! At least help me pack! Why would you do this? You know how much I don't want to miss this opportunity."

Shomi laughed out loud. "Ragini, you're forgetting something. It's 8. But 8 in the night that you'll be leaving. Not right now."

"WHAT!?"

Shomi chuckled. "You wouldn't have gotten up otherwise. I needed to wake you somehow." she got up and walked past Ragini, who had her mouth open at her mother's prank. "Freshen up and join us for breakfast dear. Me and your father are waiting in the front lawn."

Ragini remained where she was recovering from the shock. 'I can't believe I got tricked. She made me look like an idiot so easily.' Ragini sighed. "Papa will no doubt tease me about this to no end. For weeks even!" this reminded her that that day she would be leaving for College to stay at the hostel. She won't be home for her father to tease her. The thought made her feel sad. But she knew it was for the best.

After sometime...

Ragini rushed out of her room, all dressed out for the day, and hugged her father as hard as she could. "I love you Papa! I love you so much!"

Shekhar Ratnar was shocked by the sudden approach from his daughter. However, he smiled and hugged her back. "I love you too my munchkin. But what brought this on."

Ragini broke the hug and sat down near him. Her mother, who had gone to fetch the tea kettle sat beside them. Although the servants were there, the Queen liked to serve her family by herself.

"It's...it's just that I've never left my home like this to stay away from you and Maa. I...I..." Ragini sniffed.

Shomi and Shekhar bit the inside of their cheeks to suppress their laughter. Although Ragini was a grown up girl, she still acted like a child who didn't want to leave her parents even for a day.

"Then stay back. No one told you to go so far to study. It's you who kept requesting."

"I know!" Ragini spoke with a pout. "It's for the best. But...but it will take time to adjust for me."

At night She, along with her four bodyguard, fly from her kingdom to the 'Mumbai City'.

Ragini smiled widely as soon as she landed her first step in Mumbai. She closed her eyes and looked up, taking a deep breath.

"Shall we go, Your Highness? " Her Bodyguard, Vyuh's voice came, making her startled for the moment.

" Stop calling me that here, Vyuh! " Ragini hissed slightly and he just bend his head.

She headed outside and they followed her with her luggage giving her a safe distance.

Vyuh opened the door of the car for her and she can't help roll her eyes to see the latest Model of Porsche Panamera.

Maa..!!! Really..!!

She reached in her apartment in no time which is more like a villa for a single person.

She rolled her eyes to see this again. 'Maa can't help it, Right? She assured me that it's just a small apartment. And now I can see two bedrooms, living room, a kitchen, one guest room, dining area, garden, wide rooftop and most of all a Black SUV standing outside of it.'

'She really thought, that this is all a ordinary girl have in her college days.'

'Maa..!! Aah.. What do I do with you.'

Tomorrow She has to go to college, and she hope her mother didn't do any of this small gesture over there.

Ragini headed inside the master bedroom and that brought a smile on her face to see it arranged, according to her taste.

Ah, Maa! Thanks. Mothers knows the best.

Ragini jumped into the comforter after taking the shower. Vyuh knocked on her door and she opened the door with a smile to see him standing there holding his hands behind his back.

"Your Highness. The dinner is ready. "

Ragini nodded and he bow a little and went to see the arrangements.

Ragini felt sad, eating without her parents. This is the first time she came alone somewhere." Vyuh. You too can sit and have your dinner. " She said who was standing in some distance still in his bodyguard mode.

" Thank you, Your Highness. But I am okay. " He refused politely and Ragini sighed looking at the food.

There were plenty of it and she knows that it was all her parents doing to give her this treatment here too.  But they have to realize she is not in the kingdom anymore.

The thought itself made her sad. She placed her knife and fork on the table and wiped her face with the napkin.

" You all have your dinner, Vyuh. Good Night."

She said leaving the dining area.

"Good night, Your Highness. " He bowed again as he saw her going to her room securely.

****Next Day****

Ragini can't help but jump in joy to see the entrance gate of the college.

She was waiting for this moment to happen, to have her own freedom. She missed her parents to no end but she wants to enjoy this life, to live without anyone's care, to be free from the obligations and rules she had to follow in her kingdom.

She smiled widely as she grabbed her bag and about to open the door, when Vyuh opened it, before her.

" Thank you Vyuh." She gave him a wide smile as he bowed.

It was normal for her to see him bow, but not for the people who were staring at her coming out , one of the rare car they saw in a college, alongwith the four people clad in black suits and goggles.

She headed inside as they followed her. She frowned when she saw every eyes were following her movement.

That's when she realized that she has her bodygurds with her and she was still behaving like a princess, giving it no qualms.

She turned abruptly making Vyuh and others halt on their feet.

" Your Hig- ? "

" Stop calling me that, Vyuh." She hissed slowly as she looked around.

He nodded and about to bow again when she shook her head giving him her narrowed eyes.

" Stay there. I'll call you when I need you" she pointed at the car and they nodded reluctantly and headed back to stand near the car, folding their arms across their chest.

Ragini rolled her eyes and turned to go when someone bumped into her.

" Ouch..!!"

Both exclaimed and Ragini looked at the lean boy, wearing dark black specks, looking at her apologetically.

" Sorry. " He said and Ragini gave him a reassuring smile. " It's alright. "

She moved forward to go when he called her. " Excuse me ? "

She turned and gave him a quizzical look. " Are you talking to me? "

" Yup..!! Or do you see anyone else here other than us. " he said with a low chuckle and she frowned.

" Do you not realize, you need to bow before a lady, if you want to initiate a conversation with her ! "

He gave her a ridiculous look and she bit her lip realizing she wasn't in her kingdom anymore.

" Let it be, Sir. I wasn't thinking when I said that. " She tried to cover her blunder but the way she spoke, with a straight back, a fake smile played on her lips and her hands were placed on one another like she was talking in front of the people her dad admire, when they tried to ask about her and she gave her best fake intersted look to them.

He looked at her like she was some antique but still said.  " I am Lucky, not Sir. "

She was about to say something when he asked again. " Are they with you?"

Her eyes followed the direction, he pointed and sighed inwardly to see Vyuh and others looking in her direction, without blinking an eye.

'Huh! Can they be more predictible?'

She huffed as Lucky keep looking at her and them with suspicious eyes.

" They are my cousins, A little over protective over me." She told him as she know that people will be seeing them more often around her.

He chuckled. " Your life sucks to have them around."

She frowned somehow agreed on his words but thought to correct him.

" You shouldn't say words like that in front of a lady, Sir Lucky. " she said in her prim and proper voice.

" Eh? " He gave her a confused look.

She huffed and gave him her, practised smile. " Eh is inappropriate. You are to say 'My apologies'."

" Whatever! Geesh..! I was just trying to be friendly with you. But who would want to be friends with the likes of you? " She frowned and he continued. " What are you? Queen Elizabeth ?" He gave her a sarcastic look.

" Weird girl."

He left giving her a ridiculous look as she pouted. ' Did I said something wrong? I was just telling him to have some courtesy in front of a lady. I wasn't trying to be rude.'

"O God. These commoners..!!! They have so much to learn. "

' You want to be like them too, Princess Ragini.' her inner voice mocked.  

She pouted again. " Then I guess, I have so much to learn. "

" What did you said to my brother to make him upset? "

A voice startled her making her jump on her feet. She turned abruptly only meeting the deep brown orbs who were glaring in her hazel one with a scrutinizing look.

It was suppose to be updated last Saturday or Sunday. But I had flu and couldn't able to complete it.
