Extra #1

When I said that I wanted a nice night out with my boyfriend, I didn't know that I'd be fighting bad guys in heels and wasting a perfectly good meal.

I wiped blood off my hands with one of the napkins, scowling at the stains on my shirt.

Loki was next to me in an instant, equally determined and equally displeased. He had his knives out, slashing at anyone who dared come close to me.

I watched as he sunk his blade into a man's thigh, twisting it savagely. Loki was always fun to watch when he fought, he relied heavily on close combat and brutal efficiency to take down his opponent. He was graceful and cunning even in battle.

I'll admit, it was pretty damn hot.

Our dear bad guys were wearing the ugliest masks I've ever seen in my life. It looked like they were paper machaed by three year olds.

I could sense that one of them snuck up behind me, wrapping his arm around my neck. He was fast but I was faster. I flipped him over my shoulder, twisting his arm as painfully as I could and slammed him down.

I grabbed a fork and stabbed the masked man's hand. He screamed in agony which was muffled by his mask.

"I just wanted one nice night, Loki!" I grabbed his coat as I heard the familiar cock of a gun. He dove underneath the table with me as a barrage of bullets flew over the both of our heads. "Why can't we have one date night without someone trying to cockblock us?!"

He gave me an unamused look. "Well, it's not my fault!"

"I never said it was!"

"I'll do whatever you want afterwards, darling!Let's just figure out what to do now!"

Why were some thugs after us? I don't know?

What I did know was that they were seriously pissing me off.

Loki grabbed me around the waist and pulled us both down flat to the floor, placing himself over me. He muttered something and threw up a shield, protecting us as the bullets tore through the flipped table. Splinters flew everywhere, bouncing off the invisible shield.

If it wasn't for his quick thinking we'd be Swiss cheese.

"I don't know why humans use guns. It's just so uncivilized." Loki complained. He kept his arm around my waist and the other to hold the shield.

I rolled my eyes. "Would you prefer I just politely ask them to put down their guns, dear?"

"Of course not, darling. There's not a polite bone in your body." He said without missing a step. "Don't give me that look, Maya. Get ready, when this shield drops we'll have to move quick."

There weren't much hiding places in the restaurant. It looked like we were pinned.

"How about there?" I pointed at the pillars towards the back. "It's a bit far. Think we can make it?"

"It's perfect." He said, glancing over. "You go ahead of me. I'll be right behind you."

"Got it!"

I pulled out my gun from under neath my jacket switching off the safety. All bets were off at this point.

I crouched, one finger on the trigger and my other hand holding onto Loki's jacket.

"Go, Maya! Go!"

The shield dropped quick and we both ran for the pillars, a hail of bullets following at us. I felt one whiz past my shoulder.

I swung around the pillar, dropping down so that I could brace myself against it. I could feel the blood in my veins, begging to be released and wreak havoc. If there was a moment to use my powers, it would be now.

"Hey, Loki!"

I shot a few round at our masked assailants. I managed to hit a three in the chest before ducking back so I could reload. They returned the gesture in mind by shredding the front portion of the column into dust.

Loki was busy projecting several clones of himself. He was absolutely wreaking chaos, they were so focused on Loki's illusions that they could protect themselves from me.

What a sweetheart.

He glanced over briefly towards me, eyebrows raised. "Yes, darling?"

"When this is over—-" I reloaded quick and squeezed the trigger. "—-We're going to make very, very good use of our suite."

"Really, Maya?" He purred, an all too familiar smirk on his face that clearly meant trouble. "I didn't know attempted assassination was one of your kinks? If I had known I'd stage more of these types of events for you."

"Oh, darling," I said, stepping out from behind the pillar. I shed my red tuxedo jacket and tossed it to him. "You have no idea what I'm into. I'm only just beginning."

I raised my hands and I could instantly feel the blood rushing through their veins. I took a deep breath in and fisted my palm, they're heart rates spiked like scared little jackrabbits.

It had taken time for me to have this sort of control over a human body. All I had to do was lower the pressure and they would be out like lights. I could that or....

I growled as I lifted them up, holding their bodies in the air like marionettes. They gasped and writhed, clutching their necks and chest. I swept my arm to the side, slamming them against the wall with a satisfying crack before slamming them down onto the ground.

Was it unnecessary? Yes.

Could I have not scarred them emotionally and physically for the rest of their lives? No.

Someone had sent these guys after us and I had no idea who but at this point I didn't care. I could find out later. (I was itching for a new mission and it looked like I had one.)

Right now, I needed to send a message to whoever wanted to mess with me.

I felt a surge of energy as I pushed them out forcefully, throwing their bodies through the glass windows of the restaurant and into the street. Some were knock out cold, some bleeding and a few groaning in pain.

Not bad. Could've killed them but I felt a little merciful tonight.

I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. It could feel how tangled it was, even more than usual. I had actually spent time to make my hair nice for tonight.

Ugh, what a waste.

I caught a glimpse of myself in one of the restaurants mirror that wasn't destroyed. Gods, I looked like shit.

For the night I have picked out a nice red tux with flared bottoms and heels. My pants had blood stains on them, my hair was a rats mess, I was missing a heel and somehow I was missing the tie I was wearing as well. (I think I used it strangle a guy. Well, looks like I'm not getting that back.)

Not to mention the fine layers of concrete dust and blood that covered my shirt.

Loki came up to me quickly. He tilted my face up gently and check for any injuries. Besides a few bumps and bruises, I was fine.

"You look tired, Maya. Do you need to sit down?"

I shook my head. I just wanted to go back to our hotel room already. Maybe we could salvage what was left of the night.

Loki draped my ruined jacket over my shoulders. He met my eyes through the mirror and kissed my temple. "If it's any consolation, you still look very beautiful tonight." He murmured into my ear.

I snorted, "Liar."

"I assure you I'm not lying."

He didn't have a hair our place while looked like Kanye's new collection of clothes.

Pfft, perks of being a god I suppose.

"You were magnificent, Maya," he said. He wrapped his arm around my waist from behind, holding onto me as if I was going to escape into the night. "Awe inspiring as usual. You've improved so much."

I leaned back against him, preening.

Loki was starting to get protective of me, always wrapping his arm around me of just generally being close. It didn't bother me as much as it should've, I was comfortable around him. His presence was grounding (and I'll admit it was flattering to be wanted and needed.)

I'm a tough person and I know I've been through some shit but I'm also learning that it's okay to take a step back and let someone help you.

I trusted Loki to have my back and he hadn't disappointed me.

Truly speaking .....I don't think I could imagine a world where I didn't have Loki by my side. I don't think I could express just how much he meant to me without sounding overly sentimental.

But if there was a word to describe what I truly felt for him, I would say love.

"Hey, you weren't so bad yourself." I said, pressing a kiss to his cheek, leaving a stain of red lipstick behind. "Nice job with the shield."

Loki lifted one of my hands, pressing a kiss to the back of it. "We're parters, are we not?"

I tried to hide my smile but I could help myself.

"We are."

"Pity about our date, I was so looking forward to an evening just for the two of us." Loki looked around the restaurant, not at all sorry. "Could we just foot the bill to Stark? I'm sure he won't mind."

"Hey! Who said the evening was over?" I smiled. "If I recall you said you would give me anything I wanted if we survived this."

I could see the look in his eyes change, from confusion to shock to realization . There were times Loki's eyes turned dangerous, piercing and determined.

He was staring at me, part in awe and part in hunger.

I pushed him a little further, lifting my fingers to tangle in his hair tugging just a little bit.

"I do believe that was what I said, darling." Loki pulled me closer till I could feel his heart racing. My heartbeat matched his. "A promise is a promise. So, what is it that you desire?"

I didn't say a word pulled him down, kissing him hard on the lips. His lips were cold against mine yet soft. My fingers tugged in his hair, angling his face better.

I deepen the kiss with a clever swipe of my tongue leaving him at my mercy. His cold hands slid under my shirt, fingers dancing over my skin. If I had any less self control, I'd climb him like a tree.

I bite down on his bottom lip, eliciting a groan from him.

Perfect.

He makes a surprised noise when I suddenly pulled away from him. I felt bad when I saw his face but this was payback for teasing me so many times before.

(I would never call him cute to his face.)

"I want ice cream," I said in a perfect deadpan.

"I'm sorry?" The look on his face was priceless. I nearly burst out laughing.

Lokis cheeks were stained pink and his eyes dazed. He so was fun to tease when he was flustered.

I disentangled myself from him, running my fingers through my hair and fixing my disbelieved shirt.

"And a bottle of champagne since ours kinda exploded via bullet." I stepped over glass and debris till I made to the door that was surprisingly intact. "Chilled, preferably with strawberry's."

"But—-thats it?!" Loki spluttered, chasing after me, looking adorably confused. "Ice cream and champagne?"

"Oh you're right! How could I ever forget?" I turned around and threw him a wink. "The most important thing of all—-You, of course."

He tried to be mad but Loki started laughing. "You are absolutely the——"

I cut him off with another kiss to the lips and tugged him through the door and into the night.

The mission and the bad guys could wait, I had a bottle of chilled champagne and a very sexy boyfriend to look forward to.
