I walked with Dan through the halls we were talking about what happened yesterday.

"When we left for Canada, Lily acted like  she and your Dad were flying off into some way to soon sunset together. I do admit it didn't settle well with me but I was in no right mind to do anything about it. Then what three hours later it's over? We were so happy about us being away from it al and coming back refreshed, we never stopped to ask what happened. I mean we were here a few days earlier to catch up on everything." I shake my head for not realising something was wrong on the adult front earlier.

"So what do we do?" Dan wonders

"I don't know. But I think you and Serena have to figure something out. I'm just a former step daughter." I shrug, there was no real tie between Lilt and I anymore now that Dad was gone and I had other things on my mind. This was defiantly a thing between the ex's

"I need to talk to you." Blair stepped in front of us.

"And that is my cue to leave, bye." he kissed my cheek and left the two of us.

"Did you see Chuck last night?" Blair wondered "Did he go home?"

"Yes. And I know all about the hash and suspension. But this is Chuck, he just needs to bottom out. Then we'll be there to pick him back up." I reassured her.

"Yeah, he'll be back in no time. knot perfectly tied. But this time, when I looked into his eyes I couldn't see him anymore." she replied.

"Okay, new plan then. Tonight, we'll find him and get him sorted out. I will make a few calls and we'll get him sorted. Go to class and we'll meet up later" she agreed and we left

I kicked on the Humphreys door and Dan opened.

"Hey, I think some of my stuff got mixed up with yours." he nodded and let me in. Serena was searching he desk.

" Hey."

"Hi." she smiled

"They're right through there." He pointed to his room and I went to get them. I saw the black pants I had been searching for. I changed there in his room and grabbed the rest of my things.

"So have you found anything yet?" I asked  sitting on the sofa and putting my boots back on?"

"No. I don't even know what we're looking for." Serena sighed as I stood up and did my hair.

"You'll know it when you see it. Whatever it is, it's a doozy that it's affects how he interacts with me. That usually is a sign of it's mind blowing." my phone beeped I looked at it.

I NEED YOU NOW! -Blair.

"Dan, you remember when I said things would be a bit chaotic?" I asked and he turned to face me properly

"Yeah."

"Well I hope your ready for last minute rush off. I have to go. I will talk to you later." I gave him a quick kiss "Bye Serena."

"Bye Rose." I left for my apartment, dropped my things off then left again. I arrived at Blairs

"B, is everything okay? I came as fast as I could." I told her

"Fine, False  Alarm." she replied coming downstairs changed and calm as if nothing was wrong. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Wait, what happened?"

"Your brother. He's hold up at Victrola in some Jim Morrison downward spiral. Sad in a way, Luckily it's not my concern." she then brushed of what she had been concerned about for over a month

"Now I'm even more confused, you wanted my help sooner rather than later." I voice not understanding her change in attitude.

"Thank you for coming. Dorota. I think my guests from the colony club are here." Blair called

"Wait, if he's about to hit rock bottom then we need to be there to help him. We are all he has." I stated now becoming irritated

"He doesn't want my help." the elevator opened and posh ladies came out.

"So that's it? You're gonna stoop to his level and abandon him for society matrons? Bitches that care more about how clean their curtains are than actual reality."

"Those matrons as you call them are helping me build a life." Blair retorted

"And what a life it will be I'm sure. Do you know what? I'll do what I should have done from the beginning. Do everything myself." I walked past them and gave the dirtiest glare to them as I could muster. My phone started ringing.

"Yes, Serena."

"Hey have you spoken to Blair, she was worried about your brother." She replied as the doors closed

"Not anymore. And as for my brother, I'm dealing with him." I answered

"Rosie, what are you gonna do?" she sounded worried

"What I need to. I've already lost my father. I won't loose him too." before she could say anything else I ended the call and I walk myself to Victrola.

When I get there the place is packed, I shuffled my way through, trying to find my brother. I couldn't see him though.

"Rosie, my favourite niece, you shouldn't be here." he pointed at me

"Aren't you little old for this place Jack?" I comment not really paying him that much attention. I needed to find Chuck. Not my down and out Uncle.

"Well I heard your brother was throwing the first big party of the year. He does the Bass name proud."

"You know in this light, I can see why you were exiled to Australia."

"Rosie." i heard Blair

"What are you doing here, I thought your precious social climbing was more important than my brother." I huff rolling my eyes at her sudden appearance

"I made a mistake."

"I don't care. Neither of you are capable of either wanting to deal with him or actually dealing with him. Eric." I call as he comes over "Have you seen Chuck?"

"A while ago. He said something about wanting to take the view from above."

"He probably meant upstairs."

"Clearly you're neither a Bass or a Uncle. Figures he's gone for the roof." I turn and head that way. I saw it on my moved around trying to find him in the first place. I got up there and he was on the ledge

"Chuck!" Jack called surprising him

"You idiot, you don't surprise  someone standing on the edge of a roof. Fucking moron." I seethe and walk forward

"Chuck, come down from there, let's go and join the party." I heard my uncle speak again. Now I fully understand why my Dad  didn't like him.

"I was at the party, not really that into it." Chuck replied

"Your father wouldn't have wonted this."

"Dear old Dad? Unfortunately, all I know is what he didn't want. Which is me." my heart broke. "I'm Chuck Bass!" he yelled

"No one cares." he muttered

"That's it." I took my boots off and climbed up to be next to him.

"Rosie no!" Blair screamed

"Rose, what are you doing?" Chuck sobered up a little

"What you should have done for me. I care Chuck, I care I always have. No matter how many fight's we have or how many times we piss each other off..."

"Rose!" I jumped hearing Dan's voice. Chuck held on to me

"Oh good, not dying yet. Brilliant." I breathed and looked to my boyfriend "I'm okay. Just let me handle this." i turn my attention back to my brother.

"Chuck, eyes on me." his eyes drifted to mine, I held his face in my hands

"I love you, I do no matter what, we're all each other has left. We can't abandon each other, Its a law we came up with remember?" he nodded

"We were six, Dad had left us again."

"Yeah, on our birthday of all days. We promised that not matter what was going on or where we were, we could never abandon each other. Now let's not make a habit of this shall we? Wherever you go, I go. So which way are we going down, the fast way or the slow way."  He thought about it.

"The slow way." he whispered and I smiled "The slow way." we turned round. Dan and Blair helped us down once we were away from falling I brought my brother into a hug.

"It's gonna be okay. I promise." he hugged me tighter and buried his face into my neck. "Come on you're coming home with me." I guided him downstairs and to the limo out front.

"Do you wanna ride with us?" I asked my boyfriend

"no, no I need to talk to Serena." he stated and I nodded in understanding.

"You find out what's going on?"

"Yeah, look what you did up there was incredibly stupid. You could have hurt yourself or worse." He took my hand and i gave him a small smile

"Despite all the trouble I have with my brother. There is one thing I can count on." I breath looking in at the broken man.

"Which is."

"He may hurt me and brake me. But when push comes to shove, he'll always try and save me. He's been doing it for years." I answer.

"He left you."

"True,  he'll pay for that, once he's better. This is rock bottom now, it's time to bring him up." I gave him a kiss

"I love you" I whisper to him

"I love you."

"Go, deal with your family drama. I have my own to fix." he gave me one last kiss and went to find Serena. Jack and Blair stepped forward.

"Chuck will be staying with me for a few days while I have his  room deep cleaned. Neither of you are welcome until either one of us calls." I got into the limo and we were driven away.
