I walk to the courtyard just as my phone went off . I took it out of my bag and opened the message.

Looks like Dan Humphrey wasted no time finding a new lady friend. We all know lunch leads to dinner, which leads to desert which leads to, well, you get the idea. XOXO Gossip Girl.

I sighed, I hate it when I'm right. Someone would make this a all out war between the two. Once lunch rolled around I went to find Serena. She was sat on the school steps with everyone else and the girl from the picture.

"Ladies." I greeted "Hi I'm Rosalie."

"Amanda." she shook my hand

"Amanda, could you give us a moment." she looked back at Blair and nodded leaving us. I folded my arms.

"I saw the blast this morning. I hope you're not actually taking her seriously." I directed my comment at Serena not wanting there to be a dumbass war between the exes

"Why wouldn't I? Dan Humphrey moving on before Serena." Blair retorted

"You know what happens when you meddle in friends lives. Trouble. It was lunch and you make it out as if it's the end of the world. Serena surly you can't be involved in their schemes. I thought you've changed." I berated

"I have. i tried to tell them." she defended herself

"Not hard enough, now either you sort it out or I will be forced to intervene." I stood straighter as I towered over their seated selves

"what can you do?" Nelly asked and I smirked as her

"Nelly Yuki right?" she nodded "Blair is Queen, that's fine with me. As much as I care for her and Serena when she isn't pushing her luck it won't stop me. I have ample resources to fuck with you and paint my nails at the same time. The reason I stay out of it because while I appreciate the system it doesn't bother me. Once it does." I drew a line across my neck.

"Everyone has a pressure point and I know what it is. So don't cross me. In simple terms. Jenny and Dan Humphrey are off limits, or I will start a war. Which you will loose. Have a wonderful day." I left and got some gelato

"So I saw that picture of you and Amanda last night. GG blast." he groaned covering his face with his hands

"You're not gonna have a go at me too?" I chuckled

"No, this whole thing that being created is old fashioned and a bitch. Besides where was it when I had my weird thing fling with Nate. He fucked a cougar while I'm lying about a brit." I grumble

"Wait that was a lie?"

"Not a total one, we just didn't do the full rebound thing, We talked a lot. Hence why I learnt so much about football. But that is not the point, this is gonna blow up unless you stop it in it's tracks." I inform him. Both him and Serena needed to work together to stop the meddling outside forces trying to make this into a war.

"I know I'm going to talk to Serena."

"Good luck with that" I say with sincerity

Dan sat down next to me in the courtyard and let out a huff. I sensed that something was wrong with him and he was only happy to share

"So Serena want the two of us and Amanda to go out on a date, just the three of us." he told me off the bat.

"O-KAY. Well at least she seems like she doesn't want to start a war or anything?" I reply

"I know, though she was pretty hurt."

"Then she needs thicker skin. I'm happy for you, but be careful alright. I don't want you to get hurt." I touched his arm in support.

"Thanks, Rosie."

I got home after school and walked past Arissa and into my room to get a few things.

"Everything alright?" she asked

"You know when you're gut is telling you something is very wrong." she nodded "Something is wrong. I don't know what or how but I do know who."

"Who?"

"Dan. People are trying to stir up a war between him and Serena. Because, well they probably have nothing better to do. Dan, bless his heart doesn't know the game, he's still new. Found it." I pulled out my blonde wig.

"Sometimes a warning shot is ignored. We're going out?" I state from my room while I begin to change

"Where?"

"To a bar. Don't worry I will be fine, but I'm just going to make sure Dan is. But I don't want to be recognised." I answered as I heard her come into my room

"And if something goes wrong? Why do you have to get involved?" she questioned

"Dan is my friend. My best friend who helps me and keeps me honest, kind of. Not the point, the point is I don't want him getting hurt. I'm just playing angel tonight." I try to assure her. My mind was on this and not the thought of relapsing.

"I don't think this is a good idea."

"Arissa, this is important. If it helps I will got to a meeting as soon as their date is over." she thinks about it but caves.

We sat watching the Dan, Amanda and Serena show. They were talking, it all seemed pretty chill which was good. i hoped it stayed that way.

"Nothing's happening." Arissa sighed

"Which is good. Normal is good. We're observers." I replied I saw Penelope and Isabel here as well they were glancing back and forth at the trio as well. Serena eventually went to get another drink. The two amigos flocked her and introduced her to some boys. she took one of them back to the table and continued on with the night. Amanda left for the bathroom, then Serena went back to the bar closely followed by Dan, the two talked. Serena was upset but then her body language changed into annoyance/ defiance. She went to the other end of the bar.

"I knew it." I scowled. My brother joined him at the bar. "Oh something smelt off, I thought it was Blair or the posse,I should have known he was plotting."

"How do you know?"

"because he's my brother. He doesn't have a girl on his arm and he has a certain expression. I don't know what is game is, yet but it will not end well." Dan left my brother who was still staring at Serena he then went to Isabel and Penelope. I couldn't see what he was doing.

"That right there is trouble. He doesn't associate with them unless something bad is going down." The girls moved to the bar and started staring something in a martini glass. When Amanda went by Penelope chucked it on her. We moved to get a better look. Amanda touched her hair and clumps of it came out. Nair-tini a old trick used in ninth grade when a girl wouldn't stop flirting with Penelope's boyfriend. Amanda started freaking out. Dan ran after her.

"Amanda. Amanda wait."

"No, Dan, just leave me alone." Amanda ran off. Serena went over to Dan

"Dan, I'm so sorry. Is she okay?"

"No, don't" Dan stopped her

"Don't what? I didn't plan any of this. It just happened." well she was right in some respect. She didn't order the hit my brother did, but I have a feeling it was for her benefit.

"That's the Serena Van Der Woodsen mantra, isn't it? No fault, no responsibility. Things just happen. You used to tell me you were afraid people couldn't see the real you. Maybe you're the one who can't see yourself. From where I'm standing this is who you are." i smiled a little hearing him stand up for himself.

"is that what you think of me?" She asked

"Yeah, Yeah it is. At least they own upto it." he gestured to the wannabe's "Maybe you should too." Dan left, but I stayed to see the fall out. Serena took a deep breath turned around walked over to the two.

"Never again. Everything goes through me." And there we have it ladies and gentleman, the point of everything. Dethrone and replace. Queen Serena was the aim.

"Let's go." we left

"Care to explain."

"My brother is an ass, a clever one. He's pissed at Blair so he does takes away what matters to her. Her power, he manipulates Serena to take place and she fell for it. Now she's Queen." We slipped into a taxi and removed my wig. I went to a meeting and then We got home "They will follow her around so on and so forth. And because Dan just stood up to her her first act will be taking him down."

"So?"

"I stop that from happening. I know under all that hurt she still loves him. But I did warn them all aside my brother that Dan was off limits. Serena maybe a Queen and I maybe in most respects a phoenix. Yet when I'm crossed I'm a lion and I go for the jugular."

"That doesn't sound good."

"It takes a lot to get at me. A lot, old me wouldn't care. This me does, and this me is vicious."

"Can't I talk you out of it?"

"Nope. and going to my Dad won't help either, this is real life, people get pushed around and you fight back. I'm just evening the playing field." I took out my phone and called Jenny.

"Hey, what's up." I walked into my room and closed the door

"Someone just crossed me." I told her as I started to change into my pyjamas "And your brother is gonna be messed with if we don't help."

"Messed with how?"

"You think your outcast was bad, try being the ex of the new Queen who just got humiliated." I state not really wanting to go into it.

"Wait what?"

"I have a plan but I'm gonna need your help."

I left Jen at her locker while I went to got get a drink when I came back Isabel and Penelope were there and dropped her things onto the floor. I grabbed them by their field hockey uniforms.

"I am beginning to thing you guys have a hearing problem you know."

"Rosalie, I didn't know you were here." Penelope stammered

"Then you're more dumb than I thought. Now what to do with you." I wondered out loud. I could do a lot of things some of it was technically GBH but others were mental torture.

"Rosie. It's okay. They were just leaving." Jenny says to me

"Were you ladies? Or were you planning another Nair-tini?" the looked at each other "Awh that right I know, I also know my brother gave you what you needed so why don't you run along and give him a message. 'Game on'" I shoved them away and they ran off

"Your really scary when you want to be?" she breathed looking slightly apprehensive towards me.

"Meh, my growls can be worse than my bite. Sometimes they're just as effective." I shrug it off

"what will you do to Chuck."

"Something diabolical, that's unless he apologises, which he will." I smirk at her folding my arms

"How do you know."

"Chuck likes to think he can beat me, but I'm not just any girl I'm his sister, he knows by now that I'm the only person he can't win against. Trust me the threat alone will mess with his head. He won't do anything else, aside for some toying."

Word had already gotten around about what happened and that Serena was now Queen. Jenny was reluctant to stay but i convinced her to. I saw Dan come into the courtyard. He tried to talk to people but the ignored him and dispersed. Looking away I saw Serena and the posse heading straight ahead. I walked into the courtyard and dropped my bag. I turned Dan around

"You trust me right?" he looked confused

"What?"

"Do you trust me?"

"Yes." he answered. I smiled and held my hand in his cheek.

"Good" I whispered then pulled him into a kiss.

When i planned this, I thought it was simple but kissing him I felt everything. Every cliche I laughed at; fireworks, butterflies tingling feelings. But I also felt safe, loved, connected. Like anyone who I kissed before didn't matter. This kissed mattered. I relaxed and I felt him relax to as he kissed back, nothing outside of this moment mattered as I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist. When we finally came up for air I felt a little dizzy as I slowly opened my eyes. It took him a moment to say anything.

"What were we talking about again?" i came back to my full faculties

"Congratulations. You won." I whispered stepping away, I grabbed my things and walked away from the courtyard. As soon as I was out of sight my back hi the wall.

"Wow." I don't know how long I stood there but what brought me out of my trace was the bell ringing as I was heading into class everyone's phone went off
