Once Rose left her brother. Chuck made his way over to Serena, just as Ms Carr left her and her diary there on the bench they were once talking at.

"Fancy seeing you here sis." He smirked walking along side her. Serena sighed and rolled her eyes.

"What are you doing here Chuck?"

"Well I was taking a stroll with my sister, she is very upset about this teacher Ms Carr." Serena glanced down "She seems to make a formidable opponent. Normally I would admire that but you know me the moment anyone hurts Rose, all bets are off."

"I do, you fight like rabid animals sometimes but you're always there for each other." she sighed looking back up at him.

"To be honest with you I do have a personal mission of my own. However that project is on a back burner till this matter is dealt with."

"She's a good person Chuck." Chuck stopped her

"She stopped being that when she put Rose's sobriety into question." Serena stood straighter "You know as well as I do that she has worked harder than ever since her relapse last year. She survived the death of our father thanks to Dan which makes him her ultimate downfall if she isn't handled with care. I'm not saying he should walk on eggshells, however he needs to be careful. Nearly three years ago, you, Nate, Blair and I all made a promise remember?"

"I do. That if she pulled through we would everything we can to make sure she never ended up in that state again."

"Yes. I don't know what it is about that woman and frankly I don't care. The pact stands." Serena sighed and lifted up the diary

"I need to return this to her. I can make an introduction." Chuck nodded

Dan and Rachel had met up that Saturday night. They were talking, Rachel broke down a little use as Chuck and Serena approached

"Serena take a picture send it to Blair. I will deal with this." Serena nodded and took one. Chuck then entered grabbed a chair and sat with them

"Hello." he smirked Dan sighed "I'm Chuck Bass, you know my twin, Rosalie." he leant back in his chair

"Yes i do. May I ask what you are doing here?" she questioned rubbing way the tears that had fallen moments before.

"You might not want to know. Chuck this isn't what it looks like" Chuck held up a finger

"Right now something has been set in motion. But I will get onto that a bit later. I'm going to tell you a little story, its about Rose. You see a few years ago she was a fragile little thing though you wouldn't have known it. She covered up many a thing by drinking and doing drugs anything to make herself numb. One night while out on the town she decided to be reckless. She stole car and started a race between her self and the rest of those she was with. So as she was driving she's swerving in and out but then she notices this pedestrian who shouldn't be in the road at that point.

She swerves loses control and crashes into a wall. Her brother, me I am in the limo with our friends I'm on the phone with her trying to scold her when i hear a noise that will forever haunt me. I run as fast as my drunken legs will take me. I find her crumpled up like some rag doll. The airbag failed to deploy so her injuries were extremely serious. I'm sat there holding on to her dainty little hand begging  her not to be dead.

She's taken to hospital and the list of injuries seemed endless. Sh is in a induced coma for months, miraculously she pulls through and wakes up. The miracles keep on happening and over a year later she is back walking, talking breathing as if nothing happened. Now that night it shook the four of us up pretty badly that we made a pact. We would do whatever we needed to so that it never happened again. she fight everyday to not go back she did have a relapse once but since then she has never soared higher.

Enter Ms Rachel Carr a wet behind the ears teacher from the back pit of nowhere important as far as I'm concerned. in the time you've been here your actions are slowly unraveling my sisters work. My sister is no fool she knows the body language of a woman like the back of her hand, she's used such tools as well. You have been making the moves on her man and he's nieve enough to have let you.

Normally I wouldn't get too caught up in my sisters affairs, she's proved many times since that she's a changed woman and can hold her own. Except this time, before you go to your meeting  Ms Carr i will tell you one more thing. You really shouldn't have crossed us." Chuck stood up and left. Dan followed

"Chuck, chuck wait." he stopped

"You repeatedly profess your love for my sister yet you are blind to the fact that, that woman is sending her into a downward spiral of conspiracy and insecurities." Dan sighs

"I said that something is in motion, right now those who love Rose are working to save her before she even thinks about hitting the bottle again If you have an ounce of love left for my sister you will drop the cradle snatcher."

"Let her be taken over by a witch hunt?"

"Yes. Rachel Carr or Rose Bass?" Chuck

Serena had given the photo to Blair who backed up her rumour, in the picture it looked like Rachel was coming on to Dan. Blair ran into the meeting.

"Miss Waldorf this meeting is closed to students." head Mistress Queller scolded

"I'm sorry for the interruption. But I think I have someone almost everyone would want to see. Headmistress if you'd like to check your e-mail." Blair stated and she did up came the photo of Dan and Rachel the parents started talking amongst themselves

"I believe its called exculpatory evidence. I love damages." Blair smiled

Outside Dan received a text from Serena and entered the halls of Constance. He found her outside of the meeting that Blair had entered.

"I'm here, what's going on?"

"Blair showing a photo of you and Ms Carr right now with Queller, the parents and Rachel too." The doors opened and parents started filing out including Rufus.

"Dad."

"We will talk at home." Rufus replied then Rachel came out teary eyed. She stood before the two and sniffled.

"They fired me." was all she said before taking her leave then Blair came out

"I'm back in. I saved myself, Rosie and Gossip Girl all in one night." Blair felt proud

"So you used the photo to back up a rumour which was a lie to begin with."

"If you actually think that you're only partly stupid. I wouldn't say lie I would say prophetic. Besides, she almost cost us Rose. Never again." She rocked back and forth as she talked.

"Blair." Harold came over hearing her words. Dan and Serena left walking out.

"So where to now?"

"I am going to see Rose. I choose her of course. I mean the thought..." Serena sat him down "Could she really have..."

"Look, I know dating someone with insecurities like Rose is going be difficult. I know for a fact it's not you she doesn't trust. It's everyone else. You are very trusting and open to new people especially if they share the same interests. But she has kissed a lot of frogs to get to you, she just..." Serena defended her rocky friend.

"I get it. I need to go see her." Serena nodded

The next morning Dan sat at the counter. Rufus gave him some coffee and sat next to him.

"Lily told me that Rose slept at the apartment last night. Chuck was there as well keeping an eye on her. Have you spoke to her?" Rufus questioned his son.

"No, she wouldn't answer my calls. What happened at the meeting?" Dan wondered having some of his coffee

"Well once the parents saw the photo of you and Ms Carr her fate was pretty much sealed."

"It wasn't what it looked like, she was upset about everything that was going on" Dan breathed trying to explain

"I believe the two of you weren't having an affair but Rose was right, meeting a student one she didn't even teach, off hours, after school."

"You voted to fire her didn't you?" Rufus didn't deny it

"You just got into Yale. You have someone that you love. I was protecting your future"

"By firing an innocent person." he shakes his head

Later that day Dan  had found Rachels address and knocked on Rachel's door she opened it.

"What are you doing here?"

"I came to apologise, not just for fanning the flames with that rumour but for the fact I can't stand up for you." He took a deep breathe "I love my girlfriend, I know I'm young but the thought of losing her it's just..." he shook his head

"I was given a choice, you or her and I chose her. I won't confirm or deny anything but I won't risk Rose. I'm sorry." he left her and went to the Bass-Van  Der Woodsen apartment. When he got there Headmistress Queller was just leaving.

"What's going on?" Dan wondered. Lily and Rufus shared a look

"Ms Carr is going to be reinstated due to lack of sufficient evidence, she will serve out the rest of the semester at Constance?" Lily answered

"Does, Rosie know?"

"Not yet." Lily answered "She's in her room, Charles had something he needed to do."

"Thanks." He headed through, she was curled up in bed watching Doctor who "Knock, knock can I come in?" she glanced up and nodded He took off his shoes and jacket. and climbed into bed with her. No words were exchanged the gesture itself was enough. Nothing in this moment would break them apart. But tomorrow was another day.
