Skipper Dall (P.O.V)

"We gotta stop here!" Texas exclaimed as we rolled pass a town. Riley and Edon sat in the coach seat outside. "Ok." Feral said with no expression. She walked over to a window and yelled stop. We soon stopped and all funnelled out. "Why are we here?" I asked. "I want to see my parents." Texas replied confidently. She was lucky having both parents that loved her, my mom is dead and my dad left to fight for the military and never came back. She skipped through the town going in a straight path and took a sharp turn down a road. We all followed taking in the sights. We stopped at a house painted with bright colours and flowers. Riley came up beside me and tried to hold my hand. I elbowed him in the stomach and walked faster. He groaned and held his side. Texas burst into the house. "Moooom I'm home!" She yelled kicking off her shoes and jacket, beneath her jacket she wore a tank top with a low back revealing a tattoo of the moon. Weird I had a tattoo of the sun on my shoulder and Feral had a red rose on her arm. Texas' mother approached us from around the corner. I gasped feeling faint. "Mom?" I asked. "Skipper!" She replied. I knew this was her, my mom from in the picture I hid in my vest pocket. "I thought you were dead but all this time you ran away?" I asked confused. She sighed and invited us all inside. We sat down on the couches and chairs. I guess mom was wealthy, she had a beautiful house and running water. "After you were born, God forgive my sins, your father had found out I was cheating on him. He became angry and made me leave, I had nowhere to go but here back to Texas, she was five at the time." My mother explained. Everyone was listening to her stories. "By the way, how's your father?" She asked. "I don't know him and brother left me when I was ten." I replied. Mom covered her mouth in surprise. "You mean all this time you were alone? I am a terrible mother!" She started to cry. It was awkward, I didn't know what to say, no one did. After a few minutes of silence Texas broke out. "Heyyyyy, sister." She giggled. "Sister? SISTER? You have no right to call me that after stealing my boyfriend!" I screamed. Mother looked at me surprised. "I'm leaving!" I yelled as I stormed off.

It was now dark and I decided to return home. Everyone was sleeping except for Riley who was sitting in the kitchen at a table light with candles. He waved at me and pulled a chair out. I cautiously walked over and took a seat. On the table was fresh fruit and rice. My two favourite things. "I'm sorry Skipper." He said as he held my hand. He popped open two beers.

I woke up in the carriage on Feral's bed beside Riley. Shit! No more beer for me. Riley held my hand and gave me a kiss. "I choose you over Texas." He whispered.
