Riley Kaviar (P.O.V)

I woke up to the sound of thunder and rain pattering on the tent. Edon was fast asleep. I kicked of my sleeping bag and put on my plaid button-up t-shirt and my chaps. I quickly unzipped the tent door and splashed through the mud making my boots dirty. It was about nine in the morning so I knew Skipper would be up. I waddled my way to the carriage and opened the door. Skipper sat quietly at the table with red puffy eyes as if she had been crying for a long time. I sat beside with my arm around her. She was still in her long white night gown and her blonde hair was un braided. "What's wrong?" I asked. She looked at me with her blue eyes her mouth was slightly ajar showing her white teeth. Her hair was in her face sticking to it with static. "Texas is missing!" She cried. Tears started to run down her face. "Go get dressed I will go get Edon." I said leaving. The rain was pouring down getting collected in my cowboy hat. "Edon! Texas is missing!" I yelled shaking him. He pushed me over quickly running toward the carriage. He literally ripped the door open breaking it off one of its hinges. He ran into her room and searched around. it. "I have an idea, I need to use Feral's horse!" I ran outside in the rain and quickly mounted Riot. "Okay boy, Texas is missing can you track her down?" I asked patting Riot on the side. The horse nodded in agreement. I looked back and saw Feral standing in the rain, she smiled and tossed me a walkie talkie. She nodded once more with that note I gently kicked Riot in the side and we trotted off.

Suddenly the rain stopped and Riot started to run faster than I could control him. He rode into a small cave. I heard a scream and laughter. "I think I found her!" I said into the walkie talkie. "My coordinates are 30-21-58" I whispered. I got off of Riot and ran down the cave. Soon there was a dim fire light and I saw Texas her clothes almost ripped completely off and she and lash marks on her arms and face. "Riley help me!" She cried, her voice was dry and scratchy. I went up to the wall were she was tied and started to cut the ropes. Suddenly I heard booming foot steps coming from down the cave. "Hide!" Texas whispered. I looked around and saw a bin that had flies buzzing around it. I hurdled into it.

I had to cover my mouth so I didn't scream. The bin was full of decaying bodies. I took every ounce of bravery I had and peered over the edge of the bin. Texas screamed again as a monster whipped her. The beast was called a brute. It had a human like body but was nearly 8ft tall, he had pig-like features on his face and no hair. "You make good food, You a fighter." The brute Thundered. He ripped the ropes off her hands and legs making her wince in pain. Without thinking I jumped out of the bin and stabbed the brute in the back. He dropped Texas and frantically tried to get the knife out of his back. "Thank-you Riley!" She squealed. We ran out of the cave and I assisted Texas onto the horse. Her ankle was slightly twisted and it looked broken. I hopped on the horse and before I knew what was happening Texas kissed me. I kissed her back on the lips and stroked her hair. "Riley?" I turned around and saw Skipper, Edon and Feral. Skipper clenched her fists walked up to me. I jumped off the horse. "Skipper I'm so-" She punched me in the jaw making it pop. She took the Riot by the reins and started walking him not even taking a glance at Texas. Feral silently followed. "Well, you messed up bad." Edon said. Soon everyone left and I stood there alone.
