"When did this happen?"

They were at her house. Rose wondering what was had happened. Simon panicked and his wings flapping up and down. And Telp.... stuffing her face with pizza and giving Simon the evil eye. Obviously not giving a pizza at what was happening.

"At shadow street one of the trainees was heading back from a mission. Her teleported was being repaired so she had to walk back." Simon began.

"That's why I'm more reliable." Telp smirked.

Rose gave Telp a cold stare. Telp backed a way with a guilty look on her face.

"Continue." She said.

"From what we know she was attacked. What or who did it is unknown. She tried to defend herself but it seemed to predict what she going to do and so it killed her. She received many injuries it broke her neck. It was about to leave when two men appeared. It took them out before they could react. A boy saw the whole thing. It saw him but didn't kill him. We don't know why. Is it trying to send a message to us?"

"Maybe."

"Afterwords it left. Someone noticed she didn't come back. We sent a search party and found the bodies and the boy. He was too shocked to get anything out of him. Ruby is at the scene right now. Wolf is with the boy. He might learn something."

"Something is different then with the normal attacks right?."

"Right. The boy. He said this ' the man from the roof changed into a weird shadow creature and attacked her.'"

"What about it?"

"It sounds like a rumour I heard when the dimensional wars started."

"What's the rumour?"

"You know the rule the maniacs have against killing powerful magical creatures?"

"Yeah. They have to leave it too other shadow creatures."

"Well apparently one maniac broke that rule. He swallowed some of the creatures blood and became human but he could change forms between human and maniac. It also said that he enjoyed being human. He is always seen as a human but there was one problem. He had to turn into a maniac every once in a while or else he would painfully change back into a maniac. Never to turn human again. He also would have a few days to live."

"I see."

"It was also said he became the dark kings most loyal, strongest and the cleverest of the dark kings servants. Apparently he is sent on spy mission's and assassination mission's. It was never confirmed to be true though."

"The boy could have been saying something random though since he was still shocked from what happened."

"I don't think so. I was in the search party. The boy ran up to me crying. He looked straight into my eyes and said that. Then he started crying again."

"I see well we should head to the murder scene."

"No."

Rose looked at him.

"Why not?"

"Rose you are our leader. If you die this rebellion is over. It is only working because of you. I told you about the attack so you will not go on missions. This killer is probably after you if the rumour is true." He stared at her. His eye's telling her to do what he says for her own good.

"I can manage myself. I'll have Telp with me if any thing goes wrong."

"Some times you won't be able to escape."

"I can take care of my self."

"Rose..."

"This is an order. Your to take me to the crime scene and then we talk to the boy."

"But-"

"I said it was an order."

Simon looked like he was about to object but he let out a sigh.

"Fine."

"Good. Telp lets go."

Telp was about to also object but she changed her mind.

"Telp take us to shadow street."

"On it."

Few seconds later it they where gone.

They appeared facing a wall.

"Telp you need to work on your teleportation." Rose said.

Telp didn't reply. She was staring the other way. Shaking.

"R-Rose." Telp stuttered.

"What is it Telp?"

"R-Ruby s-she's...."

Rose turned around.

"Oh my..."

Ruby was being dangled by a rope around one of her legs. Her clothes blood soaked and ripped. Massive wounds where over her body. She had many broken bones and her eye's where closed. She was steadily breathing but she was very pale. Blood was all over her. Ruby's blood. She was lucky to be alive.

She looked to Simon. He was as shocked as she was.

"W-What happened here?" He said eye's filling with more panic.

He quickly turned to look at Rose.

"We need to get Ruby down and out of here before whatever did this home's back."

"I think it's a bit late for that." Telp said.

Maniacs where appearing everywhere. They where surrounded.

The symbol called her Rose. She also matches the description. He

should report back. There is a better way to deal with Rose. The maniacs will distract and if he was lucky kill at least one of them.

Preferably the Angel. That why he summoned a poison maniac.

A maniac was covered in poison inside and out. It was immune to any type of poison of course.

Scribe opened a portal and hands in pockets walked through it. It closed after him.
