Plan in Action
Does this suck, or something?
Scar finally falls asleep an hour later; perfectly in time for school to end.
Leaving her on the couch, I quickly run upstairs to start my plan.
I text group text Dylan, Kai, and Phillip telling them to come over immediately. Then I go into Amber's room and look around.
Her room is so girlish it's sickening. Dark pink walls, baby pink comforter and curtains, and a bright pink dresser. Posters of older bands like Hey Violet and Chainsmokers, along with random sappy shows litter the walls.
Stuff that would make any logical person sick to their stomach.
Her closet was sadly even worse. Most the clothes were shades of light colours.
But in the very back, I find a hanging bag with the tag for the party <3 -E.
Pay dirt.
I lift the bag slowly, peaking underneath it. A satin baby blue dress with foral print lie behind it.
Finding my phone, I take a photo of the dress, and send it to Dyl.
I know I've spent longer than I should have in here, when the front door closely harsh and someone bounces up the steps.
I hold my breath, waiting for Amber to come in and bust me, but nothing happens. So I quietly tiptoe back to my room, which the door to stands wide open.
I hadn't left it open, I haven't even been in there since we got home.
Maybe Grandma was cleaning earlier? Or possibly Phillip is home?
After a minute or so, I decide to go in. Amber stands by my bookshelf, leafing through a book with a creme cover.
"Um, ever heard of private property, Sis?" I say sarcastically, stepping forward and snatching the book.
"Ever heard of twin rights?" Amber reaches to take it back, but I move it.
"Yeah, like you have those." I laugh, glancing at the cover. "Break the Rules, ay? Needing some advice from Gran and her friends?" I ask, setting the book back on the shelf.
"Listen, I just.... I just wanted to look at your work, okay? You write really well." Amber sighs.
"Don't lie." I shake my head. "Lying isn't a pretty quality. Did you learn nothing from Mother and Father?" I strike a nerve within my perfect sister.
"At least I visit Father." She counters, looking anywhere but at me.
"Yeah, good for you." I reply.
So it a little rude? She was in my room without permission.
Okay I hear the hypicritical statement now. But she was reading my personal writing. Then again so have a lot of people.
"Listen," I say a little softer. "Nothing in that book ever helped Grandma, and you know it." I place my hand on her forearm. "Be you, AJ."
Amber suddenly rushes forward anf hugs me.
A little taken back, I hug her tightly. It was the first real hug we've had in a long time.
"I'll tell you what, Am." I grab book and hold it out to my twin. "If you think it'll help, take it."
Amber pushes it aside, shaking her head. "You're right. It didn't help her." With that she turns to leave.
"Hey, AJ?" I call after he.
She stops in the doorway. "Yeah, Ro?" She asks.
"Curl your hair tonight." I suggest.
The blonde looks a little puzzled but nods anyway. "Thanks."
As she leaves, Dylan ascends up the stairs. Perfect timing.
"Did you find anything?" I ask once she's in the safety of my room.
Dylan smiles broadly and produces a shopping bag from behind her back. "Found it within five minute. Wasn't too much money either." She says, sitting on my bed. "So the boys have gone to get the finally addition." She states.
"Addition?" I question, glancing over the dress.
"Don't worry about it." Dylan gets up and walks directly behind me. "Now let's get you ready." She says over my shoulder, smirking wildly. "The witch burns tonight."

"We just passed Amber on the way in. She looks good." Kai annouces entering the room, Phillip in toe.
"Makeup is pretty natural." Phillip clarifies. "Also she took your advice and curled her hair." He shut the door behind him.
"You look completely identical." Kai looks me up and down. "Dang, maybe you should dress up more often, Rose." He chuckles.
Dylan hits him with her curling iron. "Shut it, or I'll make you over too." She threatens before handing me a pair of heels.
"Anyway, we thought it might help if you didn't go alone." My cousin begins. "So I called in a buddy of ours."
"Who?" I look up from the heels as the door opens, and someone steps inside.
"Johnny!" I exclaim excitedly.
"Hey, dollface, I've missed you." Johnny side hugs me, seeing as I'm still getting ready.
"How have you been?" He queries. "I haven't seen you since Lip left for Europe."
"Good. You?" I answer, finishing the straps on the dang heels. I despise high heels, but Amber doesn't.
"Staying alive." Johnny shrugs. "You look good by the way." He adds.
"Thanks, you do too." I smile.
Johnny is dressed in a white t-shirt with a jean jacket over top and a pair of jeans. He looks normal but at the same time dressed for a party.
"If you're finished we better get going." He says after a second.
I nod. "Yeah we should go." I turn to the other three in the room and smile. "Wish us luck?"
With that I allow him to lead me downstairs.
"You know I figured if we had to go to this dumb party we might as well have been invited." Johnny breaks the comfortable silence that had formed.
"So you got yourself in?" I question with a laugh.
"No one says no to me." He answers with a chuckle.
"They're too afraid you'll burn their house down of some crazy stuff." I agree. "I mean the name Johnny Salinger doesn't exactly strike a warm fuzzy feeling in the people of this town." I laugh.
The house where the party was being held is now insight.
I start to get a little nervous. I wasn't one of those girls, besides I hate parties.
"Rosie, you okay?" He asks, touching my shoulder lightly.
"Just nervous." I shake my head as if to clear the nagging thoughts away. "I'm not exactly a party girl, or a bad girl." I sigh.
Johnny smiles at me. "You're just Rose, and that's what makes you special." He says softly. "Don't worry about it."
We arrive at the bottom of the driveway. "Promise you'll stay right beside me?" I rush out, looking up at the big house.
"Even if you tell me to leave." He assures, grabbing my hand. "Now come on, Baby Girl, we have things to do."
I can do this. We have a plan. I can be that girl for a night, plus Johnny won't let anything happen to me.
Sorry Amber, but this is going to be fun.
"Ready?" Johnny looks down at me.
"Born ready." I nod with a smile.
