Here Lies T A L I A
Warning: Don't read with small children around.
The cold water hits my back as I try to come to terms with what's happened.
Yes, Talia is dead and gone. I watches them place her in the ground, but who would want her body? After two months in the ground the body wouldn't be the exact same, would it?
Sigh deeply, I run a hand through my wet hair.
Maybe it was some kinda dare and the body will show up in a few days.
I hear the music change, from outside the shower.
The strange thing was the other song was only halfway through, it stumbles over two other songs as if skipping them, before stopping on one.
*Play song*
I begin to question even more as '97 Bonnie and Clyde by Eminem drifts through the room.
This was one of Lip's favorite songs, but it wasn't on my playlists.
Disregarding the music, I continue to shower.
The water turns hot all of the sudden. The pressure feels different, and the water begins to feel almost sticky.
Again, I ignore it.
Glancing down at the filling tub, I hold back a scream. The water is a crimson red colour and hard to move through. Blood.
Running my hands under the shower head, they come away bloody as well.
This time I scream as blood continues to shoot from the shower head, filling the tub even more.
I scream for my cousin over and over again, hoping this is all a daydream.
Quickly, I shut off the water, and get out.
The blood ceases slowly until only a trickle is left.
But the tub is filled almost to the brim with it. Blood paints a fine line down the shower wall.
Behind me the bathroom door opens.
"Rose, are you alright. I heard screaming." Amber bursts into the room and lets out a shriek. "You're... You're covered in blood and shaking." She observes in a concerned tone. "What happened?" She hugs me tightly.
I shake my head, not finding the words to speak, and point to the shower.
I watch as her eyes widen and she curses. "Where did that come from?"
"I-I d-don't kno-know." I stutter out, gripping onto her for dear life.
"Oh, Rosie," Amber sighs.
I begin to cry as the initial shock starts to ware off.
Amber shushes me. "It is going to be alright, I promise, little sis." She whispers, reaching to shut my music off.
She draws a breath, almost dropping the phone. "Rose, look!" She sounds scared, really scared.
Letting go of her, I look down at the phone. "Is it?" I question in the same tone she had used.
"I think so." She nods.
Written in what could only be blood was the words Enjoy your shower?
"What's going on?" Amber turns to me.
"No idea."
"Who's blood do you think it is?" She asks, pulling me back into a hug.
"Wait, AJ," I pull away from her a little. "I'm covered in blood."
"I could care less about my clothes, you're my little sister." She pulls me flash against her.
We stay this way for quite a long time before she finally speaks up: "Do you have any idea who's blood that is?" She asks again.
"None."
"Well, there's one way to figure it out." Phillip appears in the doorway. He stalks over to the tub, clutching down to get a closer look. "Amber bring me the cup by the sink." He orders.
Amber does as told, taking him the cup we use for mouth wash. "For what?"
Phillip dips the cup into the liquid. "Blood sample." He stands back up. "Any ideas who would do this?"
We both answer no and he sighs.
"Well whoever did this criminally sick." He says, eyeing the cup carefully. "Take Rose into my bathroom and help her get the blood off."
Amber nods. "Let's go." She grabs my hand, lacing our finger together.
"And at no time do you leave her alone, you got it?"
"I won't."

We were about to leave with the cup, when my phone rang.
"Hello?" I greet the unknown number.
"Hello, may I speak to Rose Turner?"
"This is she. Who's calling, please?" I put the phone on speaker, and all three of us crowd around it.
"Oh yeah right, this is deputy Shannon. We found something in your aunt's casket I believe you might want to see." He sounds stressed and tired, but mostly he sounds freaked out.
I tell him I'll be there and hang up.

The KPD is pretty busy when we arrive, but after telling the clerk about the phone call, he leads us to an office in the back.
"Right in here." He opens the door, leaving shortly after.
Deputy Shannon motions for us to come in and sit-so we do. "Which of you is Rose Turner?"
I raise my hand. "That'd be me, Sir."
He stands and walks around his desk. "Well then, I am truly sorry about what I'm about to say."
"Which is?" Amber questions, leaning forward.
Shannon digs through a file on his desk, producing a zip lock bag with what looks like a note inside. "This," He opens the bag. "Is addresssd to you, Miss." He hands me the note.
Sure enough my name is scribbled on the front. I open it slowly. The writing was a deep red colour.
Dear Rosie,
Having fun yet? I am. It's a shame about Talia she was such a pretty face. You crossed a line at that party and everything has a price. Watch your steps very carefully. Signed an old face.
I read the letter aloud, looking at everyone once it's finished.
"Do you have any idea what that means, Miss Turner?" Shannon questions.
"Not a one." I sigh, running a hand through my hair.
"But we do have this." Phillip holds up the cup.
"Jesus. Is that blood, kid?" Shannon looks appalled.
"Sure is." Amber answer for him.
"Where'd you get it?" The deputy takes the cup from our cousin and examines it.
"Someone broke into our house and filled Ross's shower pipes with it." Phillip replies. "The whole bath tub was full of blood. Thought you could tell us who's it was."
"I sure can." Shannon pages for another cop to come and take the blood off for testing. "We should know in a day or so." Shannon states. "Until then I don't want you three leaving your homes, alright? This could be serious."
"Don't worry." I laugh. "We'll stay indoors."
"Good girl." He calls yet another cop into the room. This time it is the young one from earlier. "Antonio, here, will eccurt you back to your houses, and see that you get in safely."
We all nod, not knowing what else to do, and follow him out.
This was so much darker in my head, and the first draft. Like it was terrifying.
Also if you've never heard the Eminem song up top before, it honestly is the creepest song I found for this.
Sorta inspired by a lot of things, but to anyone wondering yeah maybe the Beverly Marsh sink thing gave me a little bit more of an idea.
