We were sat at the table for around five minutes before anyone said anything.
"Naomi, there's something I, well Nat needs to tell you" Mum said suddenly. This always worried me, Nat always came round when Mum had to deliver big news.
"So, after this week, you won't be able to come back to my house after school."
I did go round hers quite often to be honest.
"Wait why, are you moving away or something?" I said, quite concerned.
"Yes, I am moving..." She said looking down. I felt my face drop, I adored spending time with Natalie, and I don't think I would be able to do it as much if she moved.
"Why are you moving?" I had to spit the last word out.
"Because" Nat sighed "I believe it would be for the best."
"Will you still work at SiX?"
"Yes!"
"So, not too far away then..." both Nat and my Mum looked at each other.
"I'm not hungry anymore" I went to the kitchen and put my plate in the dishwasher, allowing a tear or two roll down my face.  I turned around not expecting to see anyone, but seeing my Mum and Natalie.
"You didn't let me finish sweetheart, yes, I am moving, but, " She hesitated "I'm moving in with you!"
"Natalie, you are not allowed to mess with me like that, I thought you were going to like Manchester or something!"
"Only, if that's okay with you,"
"Only! I would love that!"
"When are you moving in?"
"Friday, while you're at school. Oh, guess what, the news gets better!
"try me!"
"At the weekend, we are getting a pet."
"Oh my goodness"
"But it's a surprise..."
"Oh gosh, I've just realized the repercussions of this!" Mum exclaimed.
"What?" Nat and I said simultaneously.
"Half my fridge is going to be filled with orange juice!"
