Zariah wasn't expecting a limousine to pull up in front of her, blocking the sun. A petite man dressed in a suit got out of the driver's seat, rushing over to the already opening door. A tall women walked out, saying something to the suited guy with a polite smile.

"Thank you for the ride, really, but I can take the rest from here." Kokomi said, trying to be as gentle as possible to the nervous looking guy. A butler that her dad had hired to help her move in. "I really didn't bring that much, the rest is being mailed."

"Are you sure, Ma'am?" The butler asked, seeming like he was trying not to fidget too much.

"I promise, I'll just get my bag and you can go on with your day." Kokomi said, feeling relieved. The butler nodded walking back over to the drivers side. Kokomi grabbed her bag from the truck, placing it on the sidewalk before pulling up the handle so she could roll it.

When she looked up a new car had arrived, parking on the right of the now departing limousine. It was a used car, but it didn't look too old. A blonde girl got out of the front seat, nervously playing with her hands as she locked the car.

Alaska triple checked the car, making sure it was locked. After hearing the car beep for the second time, she turned to grab one of the boxes she had brought. The sound of another car parking beside hers, where a limousine had just been, made Alaska look up. A blonde guy was resting his arm against the open window, a bright smile on his face as he hopped out.

RJ took a deep breath of fresh air, already feeling cramped even if he was just in the car for 30 minutes. He looked behind himself, presuming his parents would be there in a few minutes. RJ looked back at the three other girls standing around. Whistling came from his right, RJ turned to see another guy almost skipping towards the group with a duffle bag in hand.

August couldn't help but feel happy, already seeing a few of his new roommates. He had said goodbye to his grandparents, already missing them. He was whistling a song that had gotten stuck in his head. Stopping beside a blonde guy as another car parked. A middle aged couple got out. Inconsistent rolling on the pavement got Augusts attention. A petite girl was dragging a bag almost her size, almost tripping over herself every few minutes. August instantly picked up his pace to meet her before she could get too much farther.

"Can I help you with that?" August asked, his smile almost blinding. Katerina was silent for a moment, already feeling her cheeks heating up. The man in front of her was very handsome, but also someone she had never met before, someone she didn't know how to talk to.

"Um- uh." Katerina stuttered for a moment, looking down at her feet. "You really don't have to."

"Nah, it's fine." August said, waving a hand to try and reassure her. "I only have this bag of clothes, the rest of my stuff is being shipped."

"Oh, me too. But couldn't leave without my computer, and some books." Katerina muttered, trying to make some conversation.

"So then it's settled." August said, grabbing her suitcase with ease and walking it to where the rest had congregated.

Zariah looked around, deciding that she probably should start talking soon. She took a few steps forward, clapping her hands together, gaining everyone's attention.

"Hey, let me introduce myself. I'm Zariah Grey, your RA. Just follow me and I'll lead you to the apartment." Zariah said with her most welcoming smile. She started to walk, the others following her. "Y'all are the first ones here so, I guess you get first dibs on stuff."

She reached the door just when she heard another car pull up. Zariah sighed, turning to see two more people standing where the others had been.

"You guys start setting down your boxes, I'm going to go help the others." Zariah said as the seven walked past her towards the stairs.

Vevina was talking to her parents through the window, not noticing the guy walking closer with a book in one hand and a duffle bag in another.

"You guys can just start grabbing boxes, I'm going to find the RA and get some more information." Vevina said looking behind herself quickly, noticing the girl walking closer. After getting a nod from her parents she turned around, bumping into the guy she hadn't noticed yet.

Tobias' dad dropped him off a mile away, giving him his bag and a quick lecture about not embarrassing him. He was reading his book while he walked, something he'd done successfully before, when he bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry." Vevina said quickly, looking up to see Tobias with an amused smile.

"It's fine, I should have watched where I was going." Tobias reassured her, before they could say anything else, loud music startled them both. They turned to see a car park haphazardly behind Vevina's.

Catalina hopped out of the car, the music coming to an abrupt stop. She looked around, feeling disappointed that there was only four other people they could see. She had been on a long car ride, with only Mouse to talk to. As much as they loved him, she really needed to talk to some humans.

"1, 2.. 3.. 8." Zariah muttered to herself, pointing to the new people as she counted. "Hey, you guys seem to be the last three here. Only missing one other person. I'm your RA, Zariah, if you follow me I can show you to the apartments."

Zariah once again turned and started to walk away, the three following her. This time she didn't see anyone else pull up.

She lead them to the rickety door. She pressed the code into the sturdy door, propping it open with a random rock. The stairs were right at the front, a small block of space to the right with nothing but a bright lamp.

Zariah walked up the stairs with chipped paint. Vevina had a small fear that they could collapse at any moment, but wanted to have faith in the place she would be living. The stairs had a slight curve before you reached the third door, if you were counting, Zariah opening it to finally reveal the apartment.

The others were just standing around. Not really knowing what they should do, RJ had tried to start some kind of conversation, only August engaging fully. Vevina waved at her new roommates, getting a few awkward waves back.

She sighed, walking to the side, Tobias following. He stood next to her, taking in the people around him, Carina doing the same. Zariah stood in front of everyone, taking a deep sigh.

"I don't want to waste anybody's time, I know you all probably want to unpack and settle down. So, quick rundown, there are 4 rooms excluding mine. You are going to have to partner up so either you guys can choose or I will." Zariah said, her voice getting low with the last two words. The eight looked around nervously before Zariah's face broke out into a grin. "I won't do anything evil, maybe just alphabetically or something- oh and, no girls with boys."

Katerina looked around before hesitantly raising her hand. "Um- there's three boys."

"Shit- really?" Zariah asked, looking from each boy to the next. "Um.. I don't really know what to do."

Alaska clenched her fists for a minute, squeezing her eyes closed before blowing out a tense breath, she raised her hand. "I can room with one of them. I'm a lesbian, no problems there."

"Great, thank you..." Zariah said trailing off.

"Uh, Alaska." She introduced herself, looking at the others.

"I'll room with Alaska." RJ said taking a step forward. "I'm Ryker, but I like to go by RJ."

"Now that, that is sorted out," Zariah said before looking at the other two guys "you two will room together."

"August, great to meet all of you." August said with the smile of a puppy dog.

"Tobias." Tobias said lifting his hand in a wave and a quirk of his lips. Vevina stood straighter next to the taller man.

"I'm Vevina." She said, her voice with a natural softness she had never been able to shake. Kokomi looked her up and down, seeing the energy clear on her face but the calm stance she was able to keep.

"My name's Kokomi, I can room with you, Vevina." Kokomi said, wanting to get the decision out of the way. "If that's alright with you."

"I'd love that!" Vevina said, her smile beaming.

"That just leaves you two." Zariah said, looking between Catalina and Katerina. Catalina puts an arm around Katerina, the girl ducking away quickly causing Catalina to almost fall.

"Great." Catalina said, trying to keep a positive attitude.

"Okay, the rooms are all the same size. Even mine on the top floor. So it doesn't really matter who chooses what. If you guys have any questions, you know where to find me." Zariah said before walking away. They all looked around at each other.

"It said there was nine of us." Alaska spoke up, making Zariah turn back around.

"Either the ninth is late or a no show. If they do show up, then they can room with me." Zariah explained, staying for a minute longer. No other questions were asked. She turned again, this time met with the door swinging open.

Carina was out of breath, seeing all the cars already parked and no one outside she rushed inside as quickly as she could. She was heaving as the group stared at her.

"Am I late?"

╒══════════════════╛

Carina could feel her lungs starting to hurt as she walked up another flight of stairs, following the surprisingly beautiful RA. Zariah walked up the last step, opening the door to the second floor. She took a sharp right, walking through the open door to her room.

It was already all unpacked and ready, Zariah having got there earlier than the others. There were a few unopened bags/boxes, but not too many.

Looking around the room made Carina glad that her family was here to help her. She had told them to wait so she could go see if everyone was upstairs. Seeing her roommate was already unpacked and comfortable, it made Carina uneasy. She didn't expect to be best friends with her roommates but at least maybe they could connect about being in a new, unfamiliar environment.

Zariah looked over at Carina, sensing the nervousness, she tried to calm her. "I got here a few days ago, didn't have much to do but unpack."

"Yeah." Carina said, her voice quiet. She wasn't really chatty when it came to people she didn't know. Zariah looked down, not wanting to force conversation.

"Well, I'll leave you to it." Zariah said, a small smile on her face as she walked away. "If you need any help just ask."

Carina sighed looking at her barren side of the room. Then at the other side of the room, one with a cage with a bunny. She really didn't know how to react to the welcoming RA. Zariah seemed so nice, and pretty, it was a mental battle in Carina's mind as she retraced her steps.

She walked past her other roommates, also unpacking. Carina finally made it to her mom, the few siblings that could fit in the car and that wanted to come also standing with her.

"I'll just need help bringing the boxes up." Carina said going to grab a box. There was only a few, Carina liked her things and she really only chooses things that really call to her. She's not hiding who she is with things that other people like. Fuck that.

"Are you sure?" Her mom asked, grabbing her own box and following Carina. "It would really be no problem, we want to help you."

"I know, Mom." Carina said, warmth blossoming in her chest as she brushed past Zariah, a feeling she really would rather ignore.

Zariah brushed past Carina, ignoring the urge to look back at the late girl, as she walked over to one of the pairs. Alaska and RJ. "You two need any help?"

"Um-" Alaska started to say, looking around at the room full of boxes. Mostly RJ's, his family helping him immensely. They had offered to help Alaska, she declined, feeling too shy. That didn't stop RJ from helping her anyways.

He was clapping his hands to get the dust off, when he saw Zariah. RJ smiled, almost blinding, with his hands on his hips. "I think we're okay, got all the boxes up in record time. Said bye to the family, promised to see them later this week. All I have to do now is bond with my roommate."

Alaska gave them both an awkward smile before turning to start unpacking, not wanting to be included. She really wanted to get all her unpacking done as quickly as she could. She wanted some relaxation time before the school stress came back. The stress acne would come back, and there goes any chance at being the hot lesbian people looked at and questioned themselves.

"Good, good, I'll be around if you needed me." Zariah said, clapping her hands and turning.

RJ looked over at his side of the room, a thought lingering. He looked over at Alaska, busying herself with whatever she could. RJ sat on his bare mattress, starting to mess with his hands. He looked over at Alaska, his eyes focusing on her hands. They were shaking slightly as she closed the box she had been looking through, not finding what she was looking for.

"Kinda makes you anxious." He said, Alaska's head snapping over to him. His choice of words startled her.

"Huh?" She asked, RJ motioned to her shaking hands before looking back down at his as he started to play with the rings.

"Moving, leaving your home, being around all these strangers... makes me a little anxious." RJ explained, looking up at her. Alaska went back to her boxes, RJ stood up. Not really knowing what else to say, he walked towards to the door. "I'm gonna see if anyone else needs help."

Alaska nodded, beating herself up at the interaction. She didn't mean to be so tense, but those techniques weren't really helping her at the moment. RJ nodded back, even if she couldn't see it, and walked out of the room.

He immediately saw one of the girls struggling with a box, he grabbed it from her hands with his charming smile. She let out a relieved breath. Taking a deep breath, Vevina knew she could not carry that any longer and she already sent her parents and aunt away, after they helped her with most of the boxes.

"Thank you... RJ?" Vevina said taking a minute to remember his name, waiting until she got a nod of confirmation to feel proud at her memory. "I did not expect the box to be that heavy."

"We've all been there, can you show me to your room?" RJ said, trying to be as friendly as possible. His parents advice coming to his mind.

'Remember to make friends, you're going to be with these people for months'

"Oh, yeah. This way." Vevina said, matching his smile as she started to walk to her room. RJ following right behind her. It wasn't that far. RJ and Alaska's room was across the living room from them, but it wasn't that big of a space.

Vevina walked into the room, Kokomi had just finished putting the sheets on her bed. She turned not expecting to be faced with RJ. She was stuck with her mouth open for a second before she closed it, a neutral expression on her face as she straightened her clothes. He made her nervous for some reason, but not the same way her father did.

"RJ just helped me with my last box, Oak was right, I shouldn't have tried to carry it myself." Vevina joked looking at the cat in his cage. Kokomi smiled slightly at her, then the cat. Vevina had promised her that Oak didn't hunt birds, but she still worried for her conure Kiki, also in her cage. She looked over at RJ as he set down the box, noticing his muscles flexing as he leaned down. Kokomi shook her head slightly turning back around.

"Now that I think about it, Zariah never told us where the kitchen and bathrooms were." Vevina said, her eyebrows scrunched as she tried to think back.

"She's out there if you want to ask." RJ said, pointing out the open door. Vevina gave him a thankful smile before she walked out of the room. Kokomi could feel her cheeks warming now that she was alone with RJ.

"Hi." She said, as they stood across the room from each other. Standing completely still. RJ was just staring at her, she started to worry that he knew who she was. That one late night when he was too drunk or high or whatever jocks do, and he turned on his tv to a random channel, he had seen her. Now her cover would be blown and this whole new start was for nothing-

Nothing could prepare RJ for the girl in front of him. He had seen her earlier but he hadn't really looked at her until now. He was stunned for a minute, taken back to when he was a 6th grader and any pretty girl made him speechless. "Hey. Sorry, I'm kind of tired. Stayed up late. Jitters."

"Yeah, I flew here. Jet lag." Kokomi said, the air starting to get awkward.

"I'm going to go back to my room." RJ said, pointing with his thumb to the open door, walking backwards slowly towards it. Kokomi nodded, letting him leave the room. He passed by a confused Vevina.

She couldn't find Zariah anywhere, she turned to walk back to her room, bumping into someone. A very familiar someone. The same guy she had bumped into outside.

"We can't keep meeting like this." Tobias said with a boyish smirk, cringing at the cheesy line. Vevina giggled slightly.

"They say that in all of the romance movies." She said, remembering how she forced her ex to watch her favorites with her. It had been a hard battle to get it done.

"It's pretty cheesy, not too shocked." Tobias said, his tone was teasing. Like he wasn't actually insulting the movies, just making a joke about them. She was use to just plain insults about them.

Vevina snapped her fingers, remembering the whole reason she was out of her room. "Cheese, which I could buy and put in a fridge, if I could find Zariah."

"Not sure they have fridges in dorms." Tobias said, looking around with her.

"Oh, I don't really know a lot about dorms.. um only like tv shows and movies." Vevina said, her ex had been the one researching colleges. Telling her that he would plan it all out, their future. "I didn't really do the researching part of it all."

"You're in bad luck, neither did I." Tobias said, making Vevina feel instantly better. He leaned closer to her. "But, if we searched hard enough, I'm sure we can find an expert."

Zariah walked past them after he said that. Vevina's face brightened, her shocked face making Tobias' smile widen. She grabbed Zariah's arm, stopping her in her tracks.

"Hi, hello, um.. is there a kitchen?" Vevina said, her words quickly spilling out of her mouth. Zariah needed a second to process the kitchen.

"I knew I was forgetting something." Zariah said, lightly slapping her forehead. "There isn't exactly a kitchen, but we have a microwave and a shitty stove, surrounded by three counters on either side. It's just up those stairs past the first room. The bathrooms are actually right next to it, just a few feet away."

"Okay, thanks." Vevina said, letting go of Zariah. Then she turned to Tobias with an accomplished smile. "We make a good team."

"Yeah, we do." Tobias said, hoping the note of breathlessness wasn't noticed. He watched as Vevina walked back to her room, before snapping out of his trance and going back to his room. Forgetting why he had even left it in the first place.

August was already laying on his bed, his hands intertwined on the back of his head. Tobias grabbed his book from the duffle he had set right next to his bed, deciding to unpack later. Tobias opened the cage for Oakley, letting her crawl into his lap. August had an array of cages on his side of the room, a guinea pig, two geckos, and a tortoise in separate cages. Tobias opened up to where he had left off, only reading a sentence before August interrupted him.

"Hey, I think we accidently switched bags." August said, Tobias looking down at his duffle then August's. There was no reason to think they would have switched.

"I don't think so, man." Tobias said, trying not to be too rude, but also wanting to get back to his book.

"That's my book, I brought it to read while I waited for my others to arrive." August explained, pointing to the book in Tobias' hands. "The Secret History, by Donna Tartt. One of my favorites."

"I was reading this on the ride over." Tobias explained, August's smile got bigger and brighter. He reached down to the duffle at his feet. Another copy of the book, both were worn and well loved.

"We brought the same book, dude." August said, holding out his hand. Tobias naturally high-fived him, both of them with huge smiles. "This shows that we were meant to be roommates."

"So what do you think?" August continued, motioning to the book. Tobias leaned forward, making Oakley have to rearrange herself, ready to discuss the book.

Zariah passed by their room, a smile on her face at them getting along. It was nice to know that at least one pair wouldn't be too tense. Kokomi and Vevina seemed to be getting along as well. She walked to the other side of the room, checking on the other roommates.

Alaska was getting more comfortable with RJ. When he had come back to their room, he was fidgeting more and it made her suddenly understand why he had been trying to connect with her anxiety.

"Is there anything that helps you calm down? Usually I just sit alone and knit or do whatever hobby I'm doing that day." Alaska asked softly. RJ was great with people, charming, nice, caring, but it still made him anxious when it was all over.

"I usually bake." RJ said, his eyes widening like a lightbulb was going off. He started whispering to himself. "I just need- and- that should work."

He stood up quickly, leaving the room without a word. He ran into Zariah. "Stove?"

"Shitty oven, upstairs." She said pointing to the stairs.

"Fridge?" He asked next.

"I have a mini fridge in my room, my mom bought me some eggs and shit before she left." Zariah said, RJ taking off.

Catalina watched with an excited smile, leaning out from her door. They looked back at their roommate. Katerina was looking down at her computer intently, headphones over her ears and a bearded dragon on her shoulders. Catalina had decided to keep Mouse in his cage, as a precaution. Catalina decided to leave Katerina to herself. Walking to the room across from theirs.

"Hey, nice to meet you again." Catalina said as she entered Alaska and RJ's room, only Alaska present.

"Hello?" Alaska asked as Catalina fell back onto RJ's bed. She tilted her head at the new person in the room. "Can I help you?"

"My roommate is in- like a zone right now. Thought I'd talk to you." Catalina explained staring at the ceiling. This wasn't a new thing to Alaska, her siblings would bust into her room all the time, but this stranger was a whole nother thing.

"Okay?" Alaska asked again, getting more and more confused. Catalina was a talkative person, chatting about their whole ride to the dorms. Alaska just nodding, not really knowing how to respond.

"So, how was your drive? Or plane ride?" Catalina asked after she was done. Alaska was silent for a few seconds, still processing everything.

"Um, quiet?" Alaska said, feeling herself short circuit. "Peaceful, I saw cows."

"Really?!" Catalina asked, sitting up and looking at Alaska. She just nodded slowly, testing the waters. "That's cool."

"Thank you?"

╘══════════════════╕

The sun was starting to set, Kokomi was rubbing lotion on her legs as Vevina sat on her bed, criss-cross. She had her sketchbook in her hands, seeming to be thinking. Then something came to her.

"We need to watch a movie." She said out loud, holding her pencil up triumphantly.

"What?" Kokomi asked, an amused look on her face. It wasn't too noticeable, but it was there.

"Us roommates, we need to watch a movie." Vevina said, standing up as she spoke. "I mean, we should all bond. A movie is the perfect way to test the waters. Just be in each others presence, get use to each other."

"I don't know if everyone will go for that." Kokomi said, finishing her task and putting her lotion away.

"They have to, with my sweet smile and your stoic self, how could they say no." Vevina said, walking closer to Kokomi. "We should at least try."

"I did see a nice tv out there." Kokomi conceded, standing up to walk with Vevina. They went to the room across from them.

Tobias and August were still talking about books, they'd moved onto a new one at that point, but they could've gone on all night. They both looked over at the girls standing at their door, blocking the light from the hall.

"How may we help you, ladies?" Tobias asked, turning fully to the doorway.

"Wanna watch a movie, we're gonna try to round everyone up." Vevina explained, trying to keep herself from getting too excited.

"To bond." Kokomi added in a monotone voice. Not really meaning to be too intimidating, just acting like she always was, like she was raised to be.

"Sounds awesome!" August said, hopping up from his bed.

"I don't know..." Tobias said, standing slowly, teasing them. "What's in it for me?"

"Come on, Tobi." Vevina said, her eyes like puppy dogs. Tobias could get lost in them. "We make a great team, don't we. I need the very best for this."

Tobias couldn't keep his fake frown up. "I suppose."

"Great!" Vevina said, grabbing his hand and dragging him away. Kokomi and August following, as they passed the stairs to the upper floor, Kokomi stopped for a second. Smelling something.. sweet.

Catarina was staring at the ceiling again, Alaska laying back on her bed. The only difference was that Catarina was talking and Alaska was trying to understand the quick words being said. Still confused on why Catarina was in her room and not their own.

"Hello, y'all." Vevina said as she stopped at the door with Tobias. Kokomi and August both missing from the group.

"You're midwestern." Tobias said with an amused smile. Vevina looked at him for a second, her cheeks slightly flushed before looking back at the two in the room.

"We're gonna watch a movie, you should join us." Vevina said, her excitement starting to show.

"What movie?" Catalina asked, sitting up.

"We haven't decided, might just pick a name out of a hat and that person chooses." Vevina said, shrugging.

"Seems fair." Tobias agreed with the girl next to him.

"I like it." Catalina said, standing fully and turning to Alaska. She was at a loss for words with all these new people just looking at her.

"I- um." Alaska said with a nervous smile. Vevina's face softened.

"We don't want to force you." Vevina quickly reassured. Alaska felt some of the tension drain out of her shoulders, but not all of it.

"Come on. It'll be fun, better than hearing me yap for another hour and a half." Catalina said with a teasing tone.

"There was an hour and a half left?" Alaska asked, a little hopeless. In the back of her mind she thought that she wouldn't mind listening to Catalina talk for another hour and a half.

"There was another three hours left." Catalina corrected, grabbing Alaska's hand and pulling her up. She was really starting to hate Catalina.

While that was going on, August had decided to talk to the girl across the hall. He knocked on the frame of the door, Katerina moved the headphones off one of her ears, keeping her eyes trained on the computer.

"Cool Bearded Dragon." August said, making Katerina look up then on her shoulder, forgetting that Oliver was even there.

"He's Oliver." Katerina said, pausing whatever she had been doing to pay full attention to the man that had helped with her bag earlier.

"Hello, Oliver. I'm August." August said bowing slightly to him. Katerina couldn't hold back her laugh, it was quiet but August still felt accomplished.

"Are you only here to say hi to Oliver?" Katerina asked, trying to get to the main point.

"We're all planning on watching a movie, wondering if you'd join us." August said, Katerina immediately looked down at her computer. "Your work will still be here, I feel confident that no one here is a thief."

Katerina still hesitated, but in the end sighed and shut her computer. She was hoping that if she went to this then she wouldn't have to go to other get togethers when school actually started in a week. The smile on August's face also helped.

They all met in the hallway, Vevina leading the group to the couches. "All we're missing is, Catrina, Zariah, and-"

"RJ." Kokomi said, still standing by the stairs. They all looked at each other before getting up and standing behind the girl.

RJ stood at the top of the stairs with a plate of cookies in his hands. Catrina walked out from her room looking down at the group with a confused look. Vevina waved at her from the bottom of the stairs.

"Wanna watch a movie with us!"

╒══════════════════╛

Zariah had just finished her makeup, she was leaving the bathroom when she heard a muddled argument. She walked slowly to the stairs, hearing it get louder and louder.

She walked down the stairs, the group not noticing her. They all sat on the couches, a harmless argument happening between them.

The main room was a huge rectangle, with two smaller halls on the side. The end wall had a tv on a desk at the centre with the stairs on the far right. There was a large couch, the shape of an L. It covered the centre and left of the tv, the right side had an old chair with two bean bags to either side of it.

Carina sat in the old chair, Catalina in the beanbag closest to the couch and RJ on the beanbag closest to the tv. Alaska sat on the end of the couch, only a few inches from Catalina, with Katerina next to her. August sat in the counter, sinking into the couch.

Vevina was next to August with Tobias to her other side, his arms spread out on the end of the couch. Kokomi sat on his other side, her back naturally straight, looking uncomfortable but being perfectly fine for the girl. The was an empty spot on the short end of the L couch.

"Put names in a hat, it's as simple as that." Catalina said loudly, aimed at Carina.

"How do we know that two people won't conspire? They could write two names, throw off the odds." Carina said back, her hands in the air.

"I highly doubt we know each other enough for that to happen." Katerina said softly, August smiling at her.

"Corruption is everywhere." Carina said making her eyes crazed for a second. Zariah let out an amused breath, everyone turning to her.

She was dressed up, it was obvious. Vevina brightened at seeing her. "We were going to watch a movie, we can't decide how to randomly decide."

"RA, you'll be the deciding factor." RJ said, turning his whole body to face her.

"Um..." Zariah said looking around. "I say let the corruption happen."

Catalina threw their arms into the air in celebration, Carina rolling her eyes. Vevina got up from where she was, walking quickly to her room.

She came back out with a beanie and a ripped piece of paper. "So you know it's fair. Everyone write your names  and we'll ripe them into pieces so that we all see, no corruption."

Everyone agreed as the paper was passed around. Zariah had been watching them, August looked up at her. "Wanna join us?"

"She's obviously going out, why'd she choose to be stuck here?" Carina asked, no heat in her voice. Facing August but not Zariah.

"She'll be the hottest one here, that's for sure." Catarina said, leaning back and winking at Zariah.

They all looked over at her, Vevina was beaming at the chance to have all her roommates watching a movie. Zariah was already late to the party she had agreed to go to. She really would rather stay in for once, if having been a busy day.

She looked at her phone, no one had texted her about being late. They didn't seem to notice. She put her phone in her pocket and walked around to the empty seat at the very end. Vevina made eye contact with her roommate. Smiling at Carina before she wrote her name on the paper.

The RA then showed off the paper to the whole room, overdramatic and earning a few chuckles. She then tore them apart and shoved them into the beanie. She shook it up before grabbing a paper.

"Zariah." She read her own name.

"Corruption! We should have listened!" August said loudly, the room all laughing.

"It's been decided. Legally Blonde!" Zaria said, standing up and acting superior.

"Fuck yeah!"

Notes ! ˊˎ

First chapter out!

Roommates have been chosen and have sort of gotten to know each other.

Again this is probably more of an introduction with some bonding happening. It'll delve deeper next chapter.

What do you think your characters movie pick would be?

Let me know if I wrote your character wrong in anyway.

Enjoy!
