Ariana plopped down onto her bed, and frowned when she felt how lumpy it was. She looked up at the lip ring boy, who was sitting on his bed with earbuds in, smirking at her. He could tell she was uncomfortable, being in the same room with a guy. She awkwardly shifted position, looking around the room, anywhere but the boy.

"So, your name?" She asked him, pretending to show interest. She could care less what his name was. She just wanted to get out of this room.

"Luke."

She scoffed. "Just Luke?"

"Luke Hemmings." He didn't even look up from his phone. They sat in awkward silence. "Well?" He asked, clearly waiting for her name. She looked at him, and found that his gaze was on her. She shuddered internally before answering.

"Ariana Fisher," she responded. He nodded.

"Well, Ariana, I could care less, but what are you planning to be?"

"A..Veterinarian," she smiled tightly. He scoffed, and she glared. "Look, Luke, why'd you even ask if you don't give a shit?"

He looked up, running his tongue over his bottom lip. "Well, I guess because you were attempting to make conversation with me, I decided I should try. But to be honest, you're a boring person."

She scoffed again. She really did not like this Luke person. Who did he think he was?

She stood and started to unpack her bags, neatly folding her clothes and putting them in her drawers. Once she was done, she flung the door open, stomping out and slamming the door. She could hear Luke's voice coming through the walls.

"Careful there, drama queen!"

She shook her head and started for the door. She dropped her purse, and when she went to grab it, someone was holding it out to her. She looked up, and an Asian-like boy was looking at her. "Careful there," he said, his voice sweet-sounding.

"Thanks," Ariana said, smiling at the boy. He smiled back. "My name's Calum, if you're wondering."

"Ariana. Nice to meet you."

He nodded politely, and Ariana decided she could trust Calum. He was kinda cute, too.

"So I heard some commotion back there. Was that you?" He asked, his eyes widening. Ariana reddened, nodding. "Luke Hemmings. He's such a jerk."

"Luke Hemmings?? You're sharing a room with Luke Hemmings?" Calum asked, his eyes full of sympathy. She nodded.

"Don't trust Luke, he steals virginities," he says bluntly. Ariana's eyes widened. "Are you serious?"

Calum nodded as he held the door open for her. She thanked him and they walked out together. "Every girl that's ever shared a room with him," Calum informed, leading Ariana towards the cafeteria. She gasped.

"I'll remember not to get too comfortable with him," she said, nodding vigorously. Calum smiled.

"So.. Lunch then?" Calum suggested, and Ariana nodded. When they reached the cafeteria, they looked at their choices. Chick-fil-a, Subway, or Panda Express.

"I don't know about you, but I prefer Chick-fil-a," Ariana told him. He nodded, and they got in line to order. She couldn't stop thinking about Luke. Did he really steal virginities?

Either way, she wasn't planning to get to know him.

When they reached the counter, they both ordered chicken sandwiches. Ariana chose a table in the corner, away from the weird glances the two were getting.

"So, classes are starting in two days," Calum started, pulling out his schedule. Ariana nodded, pulling her schedule out of her purse. "I was wondering what classes you had?"

"I have the early classes," She started, and Calum nodded. "I do too!" He smiled. "I have Math first, Animal Science second, nursing class third, and Tech study last," Ariana informed with a smile. Calum's eyes widened.

"We have Math, Animal Science, and Tech Study together!" He said, jumping in his seat like a child. Ariana laughed, and for a moment, she forgot about Luke. Calum was adorable, she thought, and she could survive a year as long as she had him.

They finished up lunch, discussing occasionally when they would study together. It seems almost as if Calum had an interest in Ariana, but she shook her head, because that's a stupid thing to think when you've just met that person.

They parted ways, Ariana going to her room, 32B, where she will have to face Luke. She was dreading it. Calum went right across the hall, 22B. Ariana smiled at him as she unlocked the door. The door fell open, and she stumbled in, crashing right into Luke's chest.
