Riele's POV

"Ella I never noticed that your birthday was coming so fast, I mean I almost forgot your birthday." I said going through Ella closet looking for a bikini

"I know. When I brought it up two days you were stuck." Ella said smacking her gum in her mouth

"Well your finally 19 today!" I squealed

"I know!!" She gets up and squeals "I'm even 5 days older then your man." She smirks at me

"My man?"

She sigh "JACE!"

"Oohhh..... noooo." I said

"Come one Riele when are you gonna tell Jace that you like him." Ella asked me

"I don't know when I'm ready." I told her

"And that day is?"

"Maybe on his birthday, I don't know for sure." I said (I just switched Jace and Ella birthday cause why not and the month right now in this book is November, yes I know there born in March 😌 but the next chapter has to do with February so be chill about it plz 😂)

"Awwwww that's cute." She squeals making a bubble out of her gum then pops it "I wish I had a boyfriend."

I rolled my eyes at her "Anyways, why am I picking out your bikini for your big day?"

"Because I have to much and there all super cute but I can't choose one." She pouts grabbing her white fluffy ball

"And did I mention how good my birthday nails look." She said looking at her nails

"Yes Ella like 30 times already." I playfully rolled my eyes

"Good." She says smiling at her nails

"How about this?" I ask laying one on her bed

"Nah I've worn that to much in high school." She scoffs

I gave her a death stare and sigh "How about this one?"

"It's ok but the bottom one is to childish." She said smacking her gum

"Ella if you don't stop smacking her gum ima smack your head." I snapped

Ella looked at me shocked and stopped smacking

"Anyways, how about this one."

"The strings look complicated." She wines

"Oh my lord Ella your being petty about bathing suits." I said

"I know I just want a perfect one." She says

"This one?"

"Already wore that before." She says

"Good cause it's cute and I'm wearing it." I said taking it

Ella laughs "Have fun."

"Ok how about this one." I said taking it out with this weird box

"Oh yeah I remember this I got it as a goodbye present from a friend before I came here." She says opening the box to see a bunch of perfume and lotion

"I'm wearing this." She finally picks one

"Finally."

"Oh shut up you know the only reason why you picked that bikini so fast was because Jace-" I stopped her

"You may stop talking now." I said politely

"Should I really." She smirked at me

"Yes." I said seriously

She just laughs at me

"Which beach are you having the party at again?" I ask her changing the subject

"Dockweiler Beach." She replies

"Nice choice." I say

"I know but we better get ready it's 1 and the party starts at 2:30 and I don't need to be late to my own party." Ella says getting up from her bed

We both changed into our bikinis and cover up which was mostly shorts and a t-shirt

"My dad even got two giant speakers and a DJ so the music is gonna be amazing." Ella said putting on her flip flops while I put on my sandals

"Ready to go." I said grabbing my phone and keys

"Yeah." She says putting her phone in her beach bag and we leave to my car

"Ooohhh hold up." Ella stopped right in front of my car and took her phone out

"What is it?" I ask

"The lighting is really good." She says taking a quick selfie

"Really Ella." I laughed

"Yes look." She says showing me the picture

"Ok that's true and when are you taking out your braids." I ask her getting in the car

"Now." She says closing the car door "I did it last night so today my hair can be curly."

"Nice."

We arrived at Dockweiler Beach

"Wow Ella the spot you picked is good." I said sitting on the bench next to the speakers

"I know under the shades right." Ella laughs going to the DJ "Can you play a song I wanna see how loud this is?"

He nodded and put Pick Up The Phone by Young Thug & Travis on and it was pretty loud

"Wow that's good, even the quality sounds good." Ella said smiling

"And he has good taste in music." I said laughing removing my shorts and sandals but leaving my crop top on and letting my hair down

"Ok in 30 minutes people should be coming." Ella said removing her top "Oh god this bikini top is gonna give me a weird looking tan."

Ella's POV

40 minutes later a bunch of people started coming in

I even think there's 10 people that I didn't invite but who cares, the more the better

Riele came and sat down next to me by the DJ who was playing Bodak Yellow with a can of Dr. Pepper and pissed face on

"Why so pissed?" I asked getting a Sprite out of the cooler

"Do you see that girl over there." She says pointing to the girl who's talking to Jace right now

"That's Valentina."

"I don't give a shit who she it but I believe Valentina is getting really close to Jace don't you think." She gives her a death stare

"And... she has boyfriend anyways." I said opening my Sprite can

"So what she could be cheating on him with Jace, also he's literally making Jace look like a pedophile." She stated looking at Valentina who's whispered something into Jace ear making him laugh

I laugh at her "Oh my lord Riele." I took a sip of my soda

"I mean its true... she doesn't even look like she's in college. She looks 14 or 15 year old trying to act 18." She scoffs (cough cough)

"She's 19 her birthday was last month." I said

"Why are you not hating her with me!" Riele wines

"Because I have her in one of my classes and she's super nice." I said

"Ugh." Riele groans getting up leaving her Dr. Pepper behind

I playfully rolled my eyes at her and laughed "Hey Ella." Valentina and Jace said making turned my head to them

"Sup guys." I smiled at them

"Just wanted to say happy birthday and where should we put your gifts?" Jace ask me holding a box with a bow along with Valentina

I grinned "Over there at the table with other presents that are starting to pile up."

Before they were gonna leave Riele came back

"Sup Riele." Jace said and Valentina just smiled at her

She gave her a stink face "Hi, just came to get my soda." She says grabbing it and giving Valentina and Jace a death stare before walking off

"Nice talking to you?" Jace said confused on why Riele gave him the face

I chuckle, "She's just being Riele."

NEXT WEEK

Jace POV

Today's Saturday the 26 which is my birthday day

But before I can even worry about the party that's happening today for me I wanna know why Riele is mad at me

I mean I already know cause Ella told me but if Riele can keep it to herself and not talk to me for a week she's really pissed about it

Right now Riele is sitting on the couch using her phone with her EarPods in

I walked up to her and sat on her bed "Riele."

She got up and removed a EarPod looking at me "Yes Jace?"

"Can you please tell me why your mad at me."

"I'm not mad at you." She says with a fake smile on removing her other EarPod

"Then why aren't you talking to me?" I asked looking at her in the eyes

"Um.... no reason." She mumbles looking at the floor

"Or is the reason you were mad at me is because I was talking to Valentina at Ella birthday party." I smirked at her

She rolled her eyes when I said Valentina "No."

I chuckle a little "Sure."

"I don't like her." Riele stood up crossing her arms over her chest

"She has a boyfriend." I told her

"And! I swear to god girls still like to cheat and have boyfriends."

"She's a cheater Riele my god!" I snapped

"Your just like other people. I can't be friends with girls without getting into their pants all of a sudden." I said rolling my eyes

She exhale sharply sitting back on the couch next to me "I don't think you that type of person...anymore." She mumbles the last word

"What?"

"Nothing."

"Then why do you always have to get so pissed and give the girls death stares every time I talk to them?" I asked her

"I do?" She laughs pretending like she doesn't do that

"Yes every time I talk to a girl that's not you or Ella you gets so pissed and jealous...." Then something popped in my mind "Do you like me?"

"Of course I do." She scoffs laughing "Your my roommate I kinda have to."

"I mean do you have a crush on me?"

She stands up again crossing her arms over her chest "Pssshh... w-what... t-t-that's crazy." She shutters with her words laughing

I rise an eyebrow at her

"I don't like y-you." She says

I stood up in front of her looking at her "You sure." I smirked at her

"Mhmm." She gulps taking a few steps back

"So if I do this it won't bother you." I said gently intertwined my hand with hers

She looks at our hands in shocked and back to me "N-n-no I don't c-care."

I bite my lower lip looking at her "So you wouldn't care if I did this to you either." I lean in and softly pressed my lips onto hers

3 seconds into the kiss I pulled away and looked at Riele who looked frozen and shocked

"You still don't care?" I smirked at her

Her voice got a little high like in a nervous way "Um I think Ella has my answer for that question." She said before running out the dorm to Ella's

"She definitely has a crush on me." I told myself smirking

Riele's POV

I knocked on Ella door probably so hard I felt like it was going to break "WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" She finally opens the door letting me

"J-jace just k-k-kissed me then Ibelieveheknowsthatihaveacrushonhimnowand ehhhhh." I wined flopping on one of Ella stool

I got up and saw Ella using her phone "Ella did you not hear what I just said?!"

She looks up at me "No you were speaking gibberish and I was waiting for you to speak English."

"Ugh." I groan flopping back on the stool

"All I heard was Jace kissed you or something." She shrugs

I got up again "I know oh my god but it was a good kiss but still oh my god." I wined

"Ok first sit or don't sit make up your mind, second why'd he kiss you?" She asked

I explained everything to her

Her jaws dropped "So Jace knows that you like him now."

"I'm pretty sure the way I acted gave it out."

"Well Jace obviously likes you back."

"How?"

"Well first of all if he didn't he wouldn't have kissed you and stuff, I mean who would do all of that to just then after tell the girl he doesn't like her." Ella says

"Ugh that's true." I thought about it again "OH MY GOD IT IS TRUE!"

Ella laughed "Wasn't I right."

"I'm glad I left my dress here cause I don't wanna go back to my dorm." I said

"Yeah it's still by the closet." She says looking down at her phone

"But it's only 4 and the party starts at 8." I said

"Where's the party at again?" Ella asked

"Some 5 star hotel."

Ella looked at me in shocked "Those are very expensive hotels."

"I know."

"Your man got money." She smirks at me

"It was actually his parents that payed." I stated

"He technically still got money." Ella stated

I laughed at her "I guess."

"It's 7 o'clock and I believe we should start getting ready." Ella suggest

"Ehh your right." I groaned getting off her bed going to her closet

I walked by Ella closet and by the conner was a mannequin thingy with my dress on it

I took the dress off and went to the bathroom and changed and came out

"Well that looks good on you." Ella states

"Thanks." I said getting my black heels off her bed

After I finish putting on my heels I grabbed a box that was on Ella bed "Before I do my hair and makeup I need to warp Jace present."

"What you get him again?" Ella asking starting to do her makeup

"The same Nike roshe I have but his size."

"Why'd you gave him the same shoes as you?" She asked finishing her makeup with some matt nude lipstick

"Because the first time I wore these he stepped on them so the first time he puts these on in gonna step on them to show him how it feels,
also this was the only last minute thing I could find." I added

Ella gave me a weird look "Ok..." She says grabbing her black strapless dress off the bed with her black heels like mines

She quickly changed into them and came out "Well I just got Jace a beats solo 2 wireless in the color blue cause I don't know what Jace likes and also I got them for Christmas just never used it so I spent no money." She says

"Nice." I laughed at her

After I wrapped the present, did my hair and makeup it was already 7:35

"We better get going." I said grabbing my phone with my present

"Yeah." Ella says grabbing her phone and present also

We walked into the lobby and it was breathtaking

"Dang your man rented this whole lobby." Ella says looking around

"He's not my man." I playfully rolled me eyes at Ella

Yet.

"If you say so." She smirks at me

Then Jace walked in from another room and we met eye contact and he instantly smiled at me

"You look stunning Riele." He smiled at me

"Thanks." I blush "You also look very nice too." I said pointing to his outfit

"Thanks." He replied back

"Ella also looks good." Ella says breaking the silence

We turn and look at Ella

"Of course you do." I told her

"Hey Ella can I talk to Riele in private?" He ask Ella

Oh god...

"Yeah, I'm gonna go find the bathroom cause this place is huge and there's a table full of wine so I'm gonna need to know." Ella said putting Jace presents on a table before leaving

I turned around to face and he raised an eyebrow at me

"What?"

"I don't know do you think Ella has the answer for that." He smirked at me referring to what happened this afternoon

"Yikess." I laughed at little "Ella doesn't need to answer that."

He looked at the box (which was his present) in my hands "That's a big box."

"Yeah I know." I laugh "Your gonna love me for this present."

"More then I already do?" He asked

I smiled at him "Probably."

Then a group of 5 people walked in for Jace's party

"Uh more people are coming so we'll talk later." He said

"Yep." I said looking at the floor

Before he left he turn around and looked at me "And by the way, I like in more then a friend way also." He says before walking away

"Well this might turn into a good night." I smiled at myself putting his present on the table next to Ella's

It's already 9:46 and a whole bunch of people are here and the party's going pretty good so far

"Riele!" Ella yelled over the loud music walking to me

"We'll talk later Daniella." I said smiling at her before turning to talk to Ella

"You need to come with me!" She yells over the song My Shit by A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie

"Why?" I ask her yelling also

"There's a cookie I want you to look at!"

"Why do you want me to look at a cookie?!" I asked

She sigh "Stop asking questions, god you won't be single after this." She says not so loudly

"What did you just say?!" I ask confused

She just rolled her eyes and grabbed my hand dragging me to this table and it's totally empty except for one plate with a giant cookie on it

"Ooo a cookie." I smiled about to grab it but Ella slapped me hand out the way

"Read the note first." She says talking about the piece of paper next to the cookie

I opened the note and it said: I'm not that perfect like this cookie, I'm not that smart, I'm clumsy and messy and I'm pretty sure there's tons of guys better then me but I like you a lot and I just can't shake you out of my head. Words can't say how much I want you to be mines ❤️, will you be my girl? It'll be very sweet like this cookie :)

"And I'm pretty sure you don't need Ella to answer that question for you." I heard Jace speak behind me

I turned around to him with a big smile and almost a tear and hugged him

"That was so sweet thank you so much, and I would love to be your girl." I smiled

"Well that's amazing." He smiled at me and kissed me

We pulled away when Ella interrupted us

"Sorry to interrupt this make out session but Jace still has a party to go on and I believe it's time to open your presents." Ella said

"Are you just saying that so you can see which ones you like and can use so you can borrow them?" Jace asked

"Exactly, wow Riele you got a smart man in your hands." She nodded at him

"Well I already got my birthday wish." He says smiling at me

I took a bite of this cookie "And this is an amazing birthday cookie."
