It was now summer break and everyone was over for a backyard barbeque, the new pool was recently finished so they wanted everyone over to test it out.
Harry tried to invite Gemma since she was in town but of course she declined.
"No running girls," Mr. Deakin says from the grill, talking to the now ten year olds, Lily and Katy. "Sorry." Lily says as they giggle and goes back to the slide.
"Dad, let th-them have fun."
"They can have fun without running, son. We don't need be taking either of them to the hospital."
"You-you worry too much." Louis chuckles as he steals a hot dog off the plate his father was holding.
"Hey!"
"Hay is for horses." He says running into the house. "You get me one?" Harry says from the kitchen.
"No, baby I could b-barely steal this one but we-we can share." Louis says sitting across from Harry, whose cooking the sides with Jay.
"That's not fair. Why do we have to wait?" Liam complains from the couch.
"It's just how it's always been, hon. My husband is strange." Jay says with a loving chuckle being used to everyone complaining. She hands Niall a plate of sides for them to "taste", she just wanted them to be able to eat something.
Niall smiles thanking her and sits next to his husband, feeding him like a baby which made Liam laugh.
Louis watches them feeling jealous but happy at the same time, just like he felt on their wedding day. He thought he was going to be the one to get married first after meeting Harry. Liam never believed in marriage so when they suddenly told them they was engaged Louis felt weird but didn't let them know.
They didn't even have a long engagement either it was only months between their engagement and wedding, three months to be exact.
Harry saw how Louis was looking and came around the counter to hug him.
"Don't worry. That'll be us soon enough." He says looking over at Jay, who winks with a smile.
"You promise?" He looks up, Harry pecks his lips and nods. "Promise. Just have to do something first."
