Chapter 81

They decided to check her out early for the day since they were already there.

Lily was happy about it, being embarrassed she beat up Jackson. She knew she'd have to apologize tomorrow.

"Did he hurt you?"

"No, daddy. He-He just pushed me but I-I pushed him back."

"Good girl."

"Louis!" Jay says from the front seat. "R-Right, mom." He blushes.

"I mean v-violence is never the-the answer, Missy," he says then whispers, "But you stood up for yourself so I'm p-proud."

Lily giggles giving her dad a high five low enough so her gigi wouldn't see them.

"Th-thank you, daddy." She whispers back.

"Have you had lunch?"

"No, daddy. It's after re-recess so I would be-be eating now."

"So where do you want to go?"

"McDonald's!!"

"Sweetheart, Gigi can make you lunch at home."

"Please please please please, gigi." She pouts, knowing how to get her way.

"C-come on, mom, were already out-out. I know you used to-to love their milkshakes." Louis says trying to give her a reason to go.

"I haven't had one in years." She smiles. "See so you can get one and-and try a frappe w-which I think is way b-better."

"Not possible."

"Let's go test it then." He smirks.

"Oh fine you win."

"Yes!" Lily says dancing in her chair. "You two together are no good."

"We're perfect." Lily says with a grin. "D-Daddy, we should do every-evetything together."

"I would love that, baby." Louis says happily. He wanted to spend every moment with her, learning everything about her.

"Really?"

"Yes, baby."

"So I c-can go to your house and-and sleep in your bed with you?" She blushes, hoping badly he'd say yes.

Jay looks through the rear view mirror watching them together, she knew soon enough Lily would want to be with him all the time.

She didn't know if she was ready to trust Louis with that, of course it's his daughter but he didn't know how she liked her sandwiches or her bubble bathes, or if he even knew how to do little girls hair. Or how she liked to stay up at night then be grumpy in the morning.

She also didn't think she was ready to let go of her little girl.

"It's too soon for that, honey. You're still in school."

"No. Daddy can-can take me to school." Lily says frowning and crossing her arms because her gigi always saying "no" lately, she wasn't used to that.

"No... he can not."

"Yes. He. Can." Lily says getting upset.

"Lily." She says in a stern voice.

"Fine!" The young girl says with more of an attitude and looks out the window so her daddy wouldn't see her tears.

She just wanted to get to know her father and spend time with him but to her it seemed like it would never happen. She was afraid he'd disappear again before she could.

Louis sat there superised, he didn't know what to say to fix the situation.

🥺🥺
