Chapter 80
"My-My daddy is coming to p-pick me up today." Lily tells her friends excitedly as they play together during recess.
"You don't even have a daddy or a mommy," One of the kids from another class say. "My mama said you're old grandma takes care of you and your parents left you."
"Shut up, Jackson." Her friend, Katy, says trying to defend her. "You-you don't know anything." Lily says kicking the boy in his leg, making him pushes her to the ground.
Lily gets up and pushes him back, before jumping on him and pushing his face into the sand.
"Lily no!" She hears her teacher shout as she comes over to pull Lily off him.
"He started it!"
"I did not! She was lying!" Jackson says after turning over and spitting out sand.
"I'm not lying!" Lily yells back, trying to kick him again while still in her teachers hold, "Stop that young lady. This is not how we behave."
"I'm calling your grandparents. Kids recess is over early, go inside!" The teacher says while walking to the door, still holding onto Lily's arm.
"No! I want my daddy!" She pulls away and runs off to hide. "Lily.." The young teacher sighs, "You know your father isn't around, I've talked about it with your grandparents."
"Yes he is!" Lily shouted from her usual hiding spot, that she would usually be used to read alone. Her teacher felt bad and just left her there to go contact her grandparents.
Lily had never misbehaved like this, she was a sweet girl, friendly and caring so she didn't understand where to sudden aggression and lying came from.

Moments later Jay and Louis came into the class, Louis was a bit nervous being around kids again and knowing this was basically his fault.
"Hello Ms. Swift, where is Lily?" Jay asked politely while Louis stood by the door, all the kids stared at him which made him uncomfortable but he was there for his little girl so he didn't pay them no mind.
"Morning Ms. Deakin, she's over there." She pointed to where Lily was.
"Sh-Should I just h-handle it?" Louis asked before getting a nod. He walks past the desks and bends down and moves the dress-up clothes to the side.
"Sweetheart?" Was all he said before she looks up and hugs him tight. "Daddy... they all said I was lying about you. My teacher said I was lying too." She sniffles, rubbing her face on his shirt.
"They didn't know-know about this w-weekend, baby. It's okay. P-please stop crying for daddy."
Louis felt horrible that this happened, he blamed himself for just showing up and now she has to explain things herself. Maybe the change was too sudden and shouldn't have happened.
He picks her up as she keeps crying and carries her over to his mother.
"So you are her daddy?" Katy spoke up, being brave enough to ask for the whole class.
Louis blushes looking at his mother then the little girl, "Yes I-I am. So as y-you see, Lily was never l-lying."
"You talk like her too." Katy says surprised. He chuckles, "I would s-say she speaks b-better than me-me."
"See-see I told you he w-was real." Lily says to her teacher, who frowns. "I'm sorry I didn't believe you, hun. It's nice to meet you,?" She holds out her hand for Louis to shake.
"I'm Louis, Louis Tomlinson." He smiles, shaking her hand.
"So where's her mommy?" Jackson says.
"Jackson, that's none of your business. Now apologize to Lily." Ms. Switf says.
"I'm sorry.." He mumbles looking away with his arms crossed.
