Alex's pov

"I love you."

"You what?"

I think my body stopped working. Even if I wanted I couldn't move. Everything seems so surreal right now, I can't even process what he just said, or at least what I believe he just said.

"I said...that I'm in love with you." Wonwoo repeated.

"...you mean as friends right?" I mentally facepalmed. I can't believe I just said that! I think Wonwoo is just as confused as me.

"What? No! Don't you understand what I just said?"

"I know what you said! I just don't think I can understand why you said it!"

"Alex listen-"

"Did you thought that maybe it's just a crush that will go away eventually? Or you're saying that 'cause we spend so much time together? Besides, you know this never ends well! This is not some sappy fairytale where the main characters actually end up together and nothing goes absolutely wrong! There are so many possibilities of this becoming a complete train wreck. I don't want-"

"Alex! That's enough!" Wonwoo interrupted my rant and grabbed my shoulders.

"I just...need to know it's possible that two people can stay happy together forever." I let out, looking at my shoes. Wonwoo sighed.

"Look...I can't promise you that it's going to be as easy as they make it look on books and movies. What I can promise is that I'm going to do everything I can to make sure this doesn't end badly for the both of us. And yes it is possible for two people to stay happy together, but I can't do that on my own. I need to know you're going to help me too."

"What if I fuck up?"

"Then I'll make sure that we can fix whatever it is." 

"...can you say it again?"

"What?"

"That you...you know."

"That I love you?"

"Yeah, that. It amazes me how you can say that so easily." I told, finally able to meet his gaze.

"Well, 'cause it's true. This is the part where I should list all the reasons why I love you and describe how beautiful I actually think you are, but I don't know how to do it! I don't know how to make up pretty sentences. Mingyu and Coups tried to teach me a few but I forgot all of them by now. I wanna make you mine but that's hard to say. Is this coming off in a cheesy way?"

"Slightly, yes! But then again, everything about this is supposed to be cheesy...By the way, Coups?"

"Oh, that's a nickname for Seungcheol. But anyways...what do you think?"

"Think about what?" 

"Why are you doing this to me?" Wonwoo groaned.

" 'Cause it's fun. Now, you were saying?"

"How many times are you going to make me repeat it? I love you, you devious little shit."

"You sure?"

"Yes!"

"Alright! That's all I need to know."

"So...Does that mean we're dating or just gonna force me to beg for an answer?"

"I think you've suffered enough for now. But to answer your question, yes we are...I mean that is if it's alright with you?"

"It's completely fine by me."

"Okay then."

"Okay."

We just stood there, smiling to each other. Maybe I shouldn't have complicated things so much. Perhaps this wouldn't be as bad as I made it out to be, that someway somehow something would mess up everything and I would just end losing my best friend. 

Suddenly, a very loud voice roared.

"HEY, YOU TWO SHOULD KISS!"

"HOSHI DON'T! NOW YOU JUST RUINED THE MOMENT! COULDN'T YOU KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT FOR FIVE MORE MINUTES?!"

"THEY WERE TAKING TOO LONG! I WAS GETTING IMPATIENT!"

We both look up to see Hoshi and Mingyu bickering from the windows of their respective apartments. They weren't alone, however. Seungcheol was standing next to Mingyu, while Hoshi was accompanied by Minghao and Seungkwan. Meanwhile, Jeonghan and Dino, standing in the same position as the others but in their own window, were looking annoyed, as if someone interrupted their favorite drama.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU PEOPLE THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" I screamed back at them, as an attempt to both shut the bickering boys and to find out what in the world were our neighbors doing.

"WE WERE JUST MAKING SURE THAT WONWOO WOULD ACTUALLY CONFESS!" Seungcheol shouted back.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED! I REALLY THOUGHT HE WOULD CHICKEN OUT!" Minghao grinned.

"I KNOW RIGHT?! AND IT'S ALL THANKS TO ME AND COUPS! YOU SHOULD ALL BE THANKING US! IF IT WEREN'T FOR ALL THE HOURS WE BOTH SACRIFICED ENCOURAGING WONWOO, THIS MOMENT WOULDN'T BE POSSIBLE!" Mingyu bragged.

"WHAT?! CHOI SEUNGCHEOL, WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU CALL ME?!" Jeonghan fumed, startling poor Dino.

"YOU WEREN'T EVEN HOME YET!"

"I WOULD HAVE CAME RUNNING!"

"SHUT UP YOU TWO! YOU'RE RUINING THE MOMENT EVEN MORE! YOU CAN DISCUSS YOUR MATRIMONIAL PROBLEMS IN ANOTHER TIME!" Seungkwan shouted at them.

"YOU HAD ONE JOB S.COUPS! ONE JOB! WHY DO YOU EVEN NEED MY NUMBER FOR IF YOU DON'T CALL ME WHEN YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO?!" Jeonghan continued, completely ignoring everyone's protests. Dino was basically restraining him, making sure the older boy wouldn't accidentally fall out of the window.

"EXCUSE ME, IF I DIDN'T WANT TO BOTHER YOU-"

"Would like to go inside? We need to get away from those idiots." Wonwoo whispered.

"Yes, let's go!"

We both entered the building, leaving behind the quarreling boys. Since we knew that couldn't go home just yet, otherwise Mingyu wouldn't leave us alone, we decided to just stay in the entrance hall for a while. 

"Well, this is definitely not how I thought this would go." Wonwoo chuckled.

"You already know the people who leave here. It could have been much worse!"

"Yeah, you're right. At least Minghao is not trying to kill Mingyu this time! And Seungkwan is not attempting to start a fight with anyone in English, while DK tries to-"

"Wonwoo?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you." I giggled while Wonwoo looked down at the ground embarrassed.

"Aish! Why are you doing this to me?"

"Like I said, it's fun!"

"I love you too."

"Congratulations! We are now a total cliché. How lovely!"

"It's not cliché enough yet. Can we make out know?"

"You're an idiot!"

I don't know which one of us is the biggest idiot. Him for being...well, himself, or me for kissing him.
