Late update I know- I wanted to make it long hence the wait. What I had scheduled was short and I couldn't see how to elongate it. I legit just got the inspiration and rewrote this chapter an hour back.

Opening my eyes, I turn and look around.

"Naz? He's on the other side, you won't find him," Helix says as if reading my thoughts.

"Could you please call him? Actually don't," I say realizing I couldn't bring him into my family issues. I unlock my phone to search for an uber.

"Are you seriously thinking of going to San Fransisco?" He asks.

I don't answer back, as I open the uber to type in an address but pause realizing I didn't have one.

Where did Luke Bear live? How was I to find him? I quickly attempt to call Luther but it's engaged.

I run my hand through my air. Balling my right hand into fists I punch at my left palm.

"Hey Hestia, you need to breathe," He says holding onto my right hand.

"Blair doesn't have that choice!" I scream at him frustrated. "She doesn't have that choice," I scream using my free hand to hit at his chest as tears fall down my cheeks. "She doesn't have that choice, she doesn't have that choice, she doesn't have that..." I burst into tears against his shoulder. He quietly strokes my hair. 

"I can give you a ride, you won't be able to get an uber here," Helix says after I calm down a bit.

I open my mouth to decline but pause taking in his words about not being able to get an uber.

"You said it's five hours from here," I say to which he replies, "It is, but your friend is in danger. I promise I won't pry, I'll just drive," he says.

He was right, right now what was most important was making sure she was okay. I quickly nod and follow after him.

He leads me to the horse which I notice isn't Odin and helps me on. We ride back to the stable where the cars are parked. He helps me get down from the horse and I look around wondering which car was his.

"Over there," he says pointing to a black sports car. I hurry over to the passenger side. The sound of the door unclicking reaches my ears as he opens the door with the remote, then walks over to tie the horse to a pole. He then walks over, and we get into the car.

Putting on our seatbelt he starts the car and drives off.

After driving in silence for about 20 minutes, my phone rings showing an incoming call from Luther. I quickly answer.

"Hello? Luther, did you find her?" I ask worried and hopeful.

"I did, she's safe with me now," Luther says.

"Thank you, Jesus, thank you Jesus," I chant full of thanks.

"Did you want to talk to her?" Luther asks. "How's she?" I ask feeling slightly scared of talking to her, not wanting to say the wrong thing.

"Don't worry she's okay. She'll be with me tonight, then I'll get her safely home tomorrow. Don't worry," Luther says to which I voice my thanks once more and let him go, declining to speak with Blair stating she needed to rest.

"She's fine?" Helix asks once I disconnect the call. I nod and wipe a tear from my eyes breaking into a smile. "She's fine," I say.

"That's good," He replies to which I nod. He uses his left hand to hold the wheel and reaches into the cup holder that was stacked with items in place of a cup for something. "What are you looking for? I can help you search," I say bending to look at the cup holder hole but pausing as I notice his bloodied palms. Goodness, I was so stuck on Blair I forgot I hurt him! I glance at his face that shows no signs of pain.

"Candy," he explains.

"I can look," I say and find it. Unwrapping it I stretch my hands for him to take it. However,  I'm shocked as my palms are met by his soft lips that grazes my palms as his teeth grab onto the candy and lightly bite my palms. I freeze as a cold air passes through my body with the speed of light.

"Thanks," he says. I look at his face, it's slightly hidden but I think I can make a hint of his lips being slightly upturned. I quickly withdraw my hands that were hanging in the air and turn my face towards my window. "You're welcome?" I say unsure about what just happened. Did he do that on purpose or was it normal to take the candy from my palms with his lips? I turn and glance at is hands, they were injured, so it'd make sense, right?

"Do you know where we are headed to in SFC?" He asks pulling me out of my thoughts and causing me to turn to glance at him.

"SFC?" I ask my confusion at what SFC meant overcoming my previous confusion on his actions.

"San Fransisco," He explains.

"Oh," I say in nodding understanding. Luther was with Blair, she's safe now. I had no more reason to head there. "It's cool, we can go back,"

"Back? Like to school?" Helix asks.

I nod. "I'm so sorry, you drove all the way here for nothing," I say.

"It's cool, at least we got to hang out," he says. To which I glance at him again. Was I reading too much into things? I had no experience with this things. Was I just being one of those girls who thought a guy liked her just cos he was nice to her?

I mean he did help me thrice in a day.

"How far are we from the closest Gas station?" I ask needing to get my mind of that and step out of the car. I feared what other comments he'd make the longer we stayed in the car together. It was almost as if once he found out Blair was fine, the Kraken got released. I had no intention of being its feast. The best way to save my self was to run and seeing I couldn't drive myself back to school considering we were on the highway leading to SFC. The only option was to take the next best option, a break at a gas station. My eyes widen, I could also get band aids for his wound.

"About 3 minutes, why? Need something?"

"Yes, could we make a quick stop?" I ask to which he nods. Three minutes later we drive into a gas station.

I head out of the car and jog into the gas station, I walk around the aisles seeking the first aid aisle. I finally find an aisle with band aids and Hydrogen peroxide. I grab some but don't find any cotton pads, hence I grab ear swabs instead and head to the counter.

"Do you have apple pay?" I ask the cashier who nods. "That'll be 20.75," the cashier says. Goodness, these gas stations on roads sure do rip folks off don't they? I quickly let go of the bottle of water I was about to grab. After paying I head out and notice Helix on his phone speaking to someone. Once he notices me, he hangs up and gets back into the car.

"Hold on, can I see your hand?" I ask stopping him from starting the car to which he glances at me with a creased brow. I reach out and grab his left hand. He attempts to pull it back, but I don't let him. I glance at his bloodied palms with clear signs of my fingernails.

"I'm so sorry Helix," I say as I open up the peroxide, and dab some against the ear swabs, "Does it hurt?" I ask as I rub it on the wound. He shakes his head. "I can't believe you've been driving all the time with it like this," I state to which he tilts his head with a look that seemed to say, really now?

"My bad, it's all my fault," I admit. "Didn't it hurt at all?" I ask genuinely curious.

"It becomes numb after a while," he says. Exhaling I place the bloodied swabs into the empty bag and tie it up. Opening the car door, I step out to throw the bag and then return.

"Ready?" Helix asks to which I nod.

"Are you sure we don't have to go to SFC?" He asks seemingly genuinely concerned causing me to smile. Considering all that's happened so far, he has not done anything bad to me, but instead has helped me every step off the way right from when he saw me naked...which was my fault. Maybe he isn't so bad after all.

"What?" He says snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Nothing, just thinking of how you've been there for me through this whole day,"

He smirks. "How do you plan to thank me?"

"Thank you?"

"Surely you didn't think a thank you was enough?"

"It...isn't?" I ask worried about what he'd want in return.

He smirks.

"Didn't the garden of Eden teach you anything? The devil doesn't give free assistance, Eve"
