2. Earthquake
Another person gone- missing. They were all too curious, and were dared, or just walked in themselves. As for I, knew of their stupidity and never asked, or even wandered about it. But I was one of the few that noticed the door was there. My house, hotels, dorms, everywhere. One little door. I watched on the net-screen, as reporters examined a room. The, room. A few detectives walked inside, armed. The room burst to life and the door slammed. I sighed. Just more to lose. My sister walked in, her nose in her port.
"Hey Lex." I yawned. She smiled not pulling her vision away.
"Hey.." She replied, sitting by me in the armchair.
"What's that?" I asked her, directing to an earthquake app.
"Oh, it tells me what earthquakes happens. Like, how big they are." She smiled again, finally looking at me with her honey brown eyes.
"Know it all." I huffed. She burst into a fit of giggles and tucked her port into her pocket. There was a small trembling beneath my feet. I stood, my eyes wide, Lexy beside me.
"Earthquake." We looked at each other, frightened, and dove under the nearest table, covering our heads. The trembling intensified, into a steady rumble, shaking everything. Books fell, glasses broke, and Lexy screamed.
"Ohmygosh ohmygosh ohmygosh!!" Lexy wailed. I hugged her close, and she stiffened. As soon as it started, it stopped. We rushed out from under the table. Lexy bumped her head.
"OW!!!" We ran outside, seeing the other people on their porches. The power was out, and everyone was freaked.
"Are you okay?!?!?" Our neighbor yelled rushing over to us.
"Yeah, what about you?!" Lexy replied. I couldn't stop shaking, and I grasped the stair rail trying to stabilize myself.
"We're all good here.. The powers out, you all have a good night." Our neighbor walked away, and we waved. The cleanup is gunna take way too long.

I sat on the couch, holding a warm cup of tea. Lexy walked in, wearing her favorite galaxy cat t-shirt. I was watching the net-screens, as they showed clips of the downtown bridge that collapsed. I gaped, covering my mouth, as they showed more pictures of the destruction. Lexy sat beside me, looking guilty.
"Those poor people.." She frowned.
"I know. Here, let's do something else. This is too.... Depressing.." I suggested.
"OOH, OOH!!! Video games!!" Lexy yelled, pumping her fist.
"Ah, great idea!!" We walked into the game room. As we did, I paused to look at the door, with three numbers painted messily on it. I shook the thought, following Lexy into the large game room. She put in a disc, not telling me what it was. Then the screen flashed to life. After being destroyed, like, four times, Lexy stuttered a question that caused my stomach to twist, and knot up.
"Hey Jackie.. Have you ever noticed that back room? Room 206?" Lexy asked. My stomach sunk, and I almost forgot I had it in that split second.
"N-no......" I lied. She gave me a glare. I shivered.
"I know you're lying, I know you've seen it. You notice it. Let's go.." She got up and left the room.
"Lexy no! Don't go, it's bad! You know how people go missing? Well, they go into THAT room!"
"Well, I don't know em, it's fine!" She pushed the door open, and I tackled her, pulling it back closed.
"YOU IDIOT!!!!!" I screeched. "I TOLD YOU TO KEEP THAT CLOSED!!!" I looked down seeing the shock in her eyes.
"Okay okay, I won't go!" She held her hand up in defenses and shoved me off her. I landed with a thud.
"Ow!" I chased her around the house giggling. Little did I know, I wouldn't find Lexy in the Morning.
