Will

Nico left and I take a deep breath and try to recall what happened when Nico tried rushing me to the hospital

I was in and out a lot but what I remember is Nico panicking look and a brief glimpse of my Dad holding me. Then talking to a nurse about emergency contacts

There was a knock on the door and I look up and see my Father

A mix of emotions swirl through me seeing him. Happy, sad, anger, confusion...

"I'm so glad you're okay Will." He says quietly and I nod slowly and he stands awkwardly next to the bed

"Thank you...for donating blood to save me..." I say and he nods

"Of course I would, you're my son" he says and I laugh

"Yeah now you care." I say and I cover my my mouth quickly and he flinched

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean that." I say and he shakes his head

"You did, but you're right. I didn't...I wasn't a good Father to you..." He says I sigh looking at him

"Why...why did you do that to me? You neglected me...I took care of all the bills, the groceries. At 15...at 15 years old I worked at a bar, your friend knew what was going on and he helped me so I could still succeed. You're lucky you didn't abuse me because he said if you did he would have gone to the police." I snap and he looked down and takes a shaky breath

"There...is no excuse...after your mother died I went down a dark hole and it just got worse over the years until finally I gave up and just drank and drank. That was around the time I stopped working and you went to the bar...there were moments I was sober and would wake up around 3am and I'd go to your room and you'd be up with headphones in studying your school work and you wouldn't see me and I'd see how tired you were and guilt filled me and I'd just drink more. I didn't even noticed you moved out until 2 months later, you packed up the fridge and cabinets with food and alcohol that I didn't realize you were gone...I know I was a horrible father to you and I'm so sorry Will." He says and my eyes get misty and I look away

"Mom's death hurt me too you weren't alone yet you chose to be. We could have figured it out together." I state and he sits down next to me

"You're right about that...and there is no excuse and no reason for you to forgive me. Especially after I punched Nico." He said and a defensive feeling went over me

"Why did you go after him like that he wasn't involved." I say and he shakes his head running his hand over his face

"We were moving back for you and Nico to reconnect again. Your Mom and his Mom were coming back from an event and were coming to grab you to surprise both of you when they got in that car accident. I held a grudge which was a horrible thing. You two were kids." He says and I sigh looking at him

I can't tell he feels horrible about everything

"Dad...is it true you went and sought out help because you ran into us at McDonald's." I ask and he looked up hearing Dad

"Yeah...yeah I did. Realizing what I did and seeing you grown up...it hit me hard and I went into a rehab place and got clean and they helped me get a good job too." He explains and I feel tears fill up my eyes

Don't cry don't cry...

"Dammit." I whisper and tears start flowing down my cheeks

"Woah are you okay? Do I need to get the nurse?" He asks me worried and I shake my head

"I've wanted you to be clean for so long. I missed you so much and....you did it...Mom would be so proud." I whisper and hugged him and he froze in surprise but slowly wraps his arms around me and pulls me tightly to him

"I'm here...I'm here son." He whispers and I cry in relief in his chest as he holds me

I have him back. I have my Dad back...

Nico

It's been like an hour and I decide to go check on Will and when I walk into the room a part of me could help but smile

Will was leaning agasint his Dad passed out and Apollo was holding him while looking at his phone

"So I assume things went well?" I ask and he looks up and smiles looking down at Will

"We got to talk about things. And yeah...we're good." He says and I smile and the nurse walks in

"We need to change the wrapping on Mr. Solace's wound. Only one person can be in the room" She says and I go to leave

"No Nico, you stay with him I need to walk around a minute." Apollo says getting up slowly

"My Father's here if you want to talk to him." I say walking over and take Will slowly off and make him lean on me so Apollo can get up

"He is? Great I want to talk to him." He says and he nods at the nurse on his way out

"Will" I whisper in his ear and he slowly opens his eyes and sees me

"Hi neeks" He yawns and the nurse smiles at us and looks to Will

"Sorry to wake you Mr. Solace, we need change the bandage on your wound." She says and he nods sitting up wincing as he moves his leg

Another nurse comes in and they move the covers and I see his wrapped up leg

"So did the doctor tell you about your leg?" One nurse asks and he shakes his head

"No not yet, why?" Will asks and worry settled over me

"The ice stabbed right through your bone. You will be on restricted movement and be in a cast" He explained and I nod slowly and I see Will visibly deflate hearing that

I see them unwrap his leg and when I saw the hole I turn away and clench my fist

I cannot believe this happened. Why did I walk out of the room. I could have saved him.

I felt him tilt my chin up to look at him and he gives me a reassuring smile

"I'll be okay." He says and I nod sighing and kiss him softly

They finished bandaging him up and the doctor comes in and explained what the nurse said and prescribed him medication to take

"You have to stay over night but can leave in the morning, do we need to bring a roll-away bed?" He asks me and I nod

"Yes please that would be appreciated." I say and Will squeezes my hand

"Alright I'll have that brought in. If you need anything. Either of you, just press the call light." The Doctor says and leaves

"Nico you should go home. Get some sleep." Will says and I shake my head

"Its one night. I'll be okay, I won't be able to sleep with you here." I say and he sighs and nods

"Well atleast get some clothes." He asks me and I sigh and give him a look and he gives me the big puppy dogs eyes

"Fine. I'll be gone an hour max." I say and he smiles and kisses my cheek

"I'm not going anywhere." He assures and I get up and head out

I get to the entrance to the waiting room when I realize that my car was back at the highway where the ambulance picked us up as

"Fuck." I mumble and I see Apollo and my Dad walk into the hospital

"Hey son, where you off too?" Dad asks and I sigh.

"I was gonna rush home and get some clothes but the car is at the crash sight." I state and Apollo smirks

"You called it Hades." He says and my Dad chuckles and I raise an eyebrow

"What is it?" I ask and Dad sighs and hands me Wills car keys

"Apollo took me back to the sight so we could collect the car. I figured you'd stay and need to head home real quick. They cleared the roads though so it should be smooth." He says and I sigh in relief

"Thank you! Stay with Will until I get back please." I ask and I head out and my Dad follows me

"I'm coming with." He says and I smile and we head outside and I see Wills car and sigh

"You drive, I don't have my license." I ask and he chuckles and takes the keys and he gets in the driver's side

"I am proud that you drove Will almost all the way to the hospital." He says and I smile

"Wills been trying to teach me, I'm gonna set up to get my test soon." I say then frown

"What is it?" Dad asks pulling out of the parking lot and I glance at him

"The only issue is head lights." I whisper and he nods understanding

"We'll work through it." He smiles and I nod and he taps the wheel

"Nico. When Will gets out and everything is calm. I have something to give you." He says and I look at him curiously

"What is it?" I ask curious and he sighs a little sadly

"Its from your Mother." He explains and I sit up more and turn facing him in my seat

"From Mama? What is it?" I ask and he sighs a bit

"Your Mother, always wanted to be there for you. And she was worried that if something happened to her one day that she wouldn't be able to guide you. She did this with Bianca too and I already gave Bianca hers." He explains and I frown confused

"Gave Bia what?" I ask Co fused as all could be

"Your Mom recorded CD's she recorded Bia's when she was Pregnant with you and recorded yours when you were 1. There are 5 CD's for you and Bia had 5 too. And yours are all for you when your 18. They're for advice from her." He whispers and my heart swelled and I smiled softly

"She always seemed like the prepared one." I whisper and he smiles softly

"She was." He says and for the first time. There was a comfortable silence after we talked about Mom

"Have you seen them?" I ask and he shakes his head.

"She made one for me though, I've seen that." He says and I look at him

"What was it about if you don't mind me asking?" I ask and he smiles

"That even if she wasn't here that she would always be with me and all she wants is me to be there for you and Bianca. I know I screwed up but im trying to fix that" He says and I smile

"Your doing well at it now." I reassure him and he glances at me

"I love you Son." He says and as we pull up and when he parks I reach over and hug him

"I love you to Dad"

Anywhoooo, I hope you all guys enjoyed this chapter I am very happy to finally update this book, I do love this book I just get caught up and sometimes don't know what to write next for this book
