3rd Person Pov:
"So, what do you guys wanna do today?" Gadget asked as he leaned against a tree. "I don't know, what do you guys wanna do today?" Sonic replied and Ira rolled his eyes. "How about we all meet later tonight for dinner tonight?" Ira suggested. "That sounds like a great idea!" Gadget exclaimed, smiling at the jackal who tried to hide a blush. Suddenly, they all heard a phone buzzing and Gadget got out his phone from his belt. "My brother is calling, I'll be back." The red wolf spoke, standing up. Once, they saw walk far away from them and heard him talking through the phone, it was positive that Gadget wouldn't hear them. "Oh my gosh, why does he gotta be so cute!" Ira mumbled, hiding his face with his hands. "Back away from him," Sonic spoke, sternly. Ira looked at him with a confused yet, angry glare. "Gadget belongs with me. Not a jackal who had serious anger issues, resolves problems with violence, and is so sarcastic all the time." Sonic added, glaring at him back. "Yeah, right. Like Gadget deserves to be with an egomaniac like you. You are so narcissistic." Ira spoke, standing up. "You make me laugh Ira. Don't be surprised when Gadget chooses me over you!" Sonic exclaimed with a smirk plastered across his face. "In your dreams, hedgehog. When you finally tell reality from fantasy." Ira replied, his anger filled glare never leaving. Both of them never realized that they had a crush on the same person for a long time. They never would have thought that they might have to fight over the person they love. Sonic thought Ira might choose Shadow. Ira thought Sonic might choose Amy or hell even Tails! Now, they both realized they'll go at each other's throats for Gadget's love.

Sonic had fallen in love with Gadget since high school. Something about the boy sparked his interest. He never felt this way about anyway, not toward Tails, Knuckles, or Amy. His heart skipped a beat and his stomach was full of butterflies. He wouldn't stop blushing even just looking at the boy. So from that point on, he decided to pursue Gadget to which Amy noticed. She wasn't mad at all, in fact, she was understanding and left Sonic alone while sometimes helping him. Which Sonic will always be thankful for just as his friends supported him as well.

Ira and Gadget have been friends since they were toddlers. Ira always protected Gadget from bullies or threats since they were young. He does still to do this day as he has grown an attraction toward the wolf. He didn't understand the blushing nor the need to kiss or hug his childhood friend. That is until Shadow told him he was in love to which Ira responded by pursuing his wolf friend's heart. Although, he believes it shouldn't be a hassle considering they have been friends for a long time. Though, that doesn't let him slack off about it.

"Hey fellas, I'm back!" Gadget exclaimed, running toward the two who dropped their glares and smiled at the wolf. "Anyway Ira, you have such a great idea! I think dinner would be nice!" Gadget commented, giving a thumbs up. Ira smiled and nodded while giving a quick middle finger and sticking out his tongue quickly at Sonic. "I was thinking we could go stargazing after dinner actually. I heard it shouldn't be too cloudy for that kind of thing to happen." Sonic suggested, giving a glare toward the jackal. "Stars are so amazing and pretty. That's a great idea too!" Gadget exclaimed, smiling.

"Eat it." Sonic mumbled toward Ira. "Fucker." Ira mumbled back. "Hm, what was that?" Gadget asked, noticing the two. "Oh, nothing!" Ira exclaimed, panicking slightly. "Yeah, just a small cough!" Sonic added, smiling while sweating slightly. "Okay? Anyway, let's get ready for tonight!" Gadget replied, running down the hill they were on. Sonic and Ira seemed to be faster as they passed Gadget, racing one another. "You two seem like you would be a good couple!" Gadget teased and they're eyes widen. Ira stopped running and Sonic tripped on him which ended up being that Sonic was on top of Ira.

"Get up lovebirds!" Gadget spoke, laughing. "Ew, no way!" Sonic got up quickly. "That jerk? Never!" Ira exclaimed, standing up and brushing the dirt off of him. "Oh well, it was just a thought." Gadget spoke, shrugging.

"Besides my heart belongs to you." Sonic and Ira thought, smiling at Gadget.
