Sonic's Pov:
"Land right there!" I yelled out as I jumped from the building I was running on. Rookie quickly grabbed my hand and we both landed on another building that was shorter than the one I was running on. "Good job, Rookie! You're really killing it, lately." I complimented, giving a thumbs up. "Well, you can never slack off when Perfect Infinity is around, you know." Rookie responded, giving me a small finger gun. "I guess so. Speaking of Perfect Infinity, where could that wolf be?" I asked, looking around. "Well, according to Tails, he should be arriving any minute to check up on something here." The jackal in front of me spoke as he looked at his watch. "Yeah, well, I can't wait to beat him up and stop this evil plan of his!" I exclaimed, practicing some kicks and punches of mine. "Yes, well, I mean I want to beat him up for killing my pack but, we must plan it out, Sonic." The jackal explained. "Yeah, don't worry too much, Ira! But, I do wonder why Perfect Infinity will appear in this spot specifically." I replied with a confused expression. "To check and see if two annoying Resistance members will come and destroy my plan." A voice spoke from behind me. "Aha! Perfect Infinity!" I exclaimed as Ira stepped next to me. "Hello, Sonic, we meet again. I haven't seen you since your last torture session." Perfect Infinity teased, chuckling afterward. "You're really sick, you know that?" Ira responded. "I know and can I ask who the hell are you to judge me?" Perfect Infinity asked, landing on the ground. "His name is Rookie and that's all you need to know!" I yelled, standing in front of the jackal. I suddenly felt being thrown to the side as I was stuck by the power of the Phantom Ruby.

Perfect Infinity put his face straight in front of Rookie's as he examined him. "Hm, just another simple Resistance member that'll be easy to defeat." Perfect Infinity spoke, licking his lips. I was suddenly free from his grasp as Perfect Infinity started floating into the air. He summoned his cubes as Ira and I started to get ready to fight Perfect Infinity once again. "Grab on!" I yelled as Ira grabbed my hand. Perfect Infinity shot the cubes toward us and I used my super-speed to escape.

I threw Ira up in the air to see if he could Perfect Infinity to the ground. Yet, that didn't happen as I landed on the ground and saw Perfect Infinity grabbed Ira's hand. "Hm, actually, you're not that bad-looking for a Resistance member. What's your name, sweetheart?" Perfect Infinity asked, teasingly. I could tell Ira was distracted as his cheeks turned red and his eyes darted away which immediately ruined the original plan. I groaned slightly as I grabbed Ira away from Perfect Infinity's grasp, making sure to leave a kick in the face toward the wolf. "You'll pay for that!" The wolf exclaimed, summoning even more cubes.

"Such simple attacks he uses. They are so easy to predict." Ira spoke, sighing. I chuckled silently until I looked up at Perfect Infinity who was not amused but, motivated. "Oh, sweetheart, you want to see something impressive? Then, I'll prove to you that I can bend reality." Perfect Infinity spoke. I looked at Ira who shrugged his shoulders as he didn't expect that kind of reaction. I jumped back as I saw a sword being thrown at me and I looked up to see the cubes shaped into swords now.

"Oh, he's good," Ira spoke, grabbing my hand and using his grappling hook on the other building I was on. "Hold on!" He exclaimed as we both flew through the sky to reach the building. Soon enough, we are both hanging by the ends of the grappling hook and he looked down at me. "Ready?" He asked and I nodded. As soon as he was about to throw me on the edge of the building, Perfect Infinity came around and knocked the item out of Ira's hand. We started to fall immediately yet, I couldn't see Ira beside me.

He was being held by Perfect Infinity! He'll surely take him back to the Eggman's base and torture him the same way he did to me. I look around quickly and see Ira's grappling hook coming towards me. I grabbed it and shot a line quickly so I could get to the Rookie as soon as possible. I don't like the jackal being alone with the enemy especially when it's Perfect Infinity. "Put me down, you perverted psycho!" Ira yelled out which confused me. Soon, I was next to Perfect Infinity and Ira who seemed to be bickering about something.

"If I did, you would die and I certainly let someone beautiful as you die. At least, not intentionally." Perfect Infinity responded and I stepped back with the line. I ran quickly and kicked Perfect Infinity right in the face as I managed to grab Ira's hand. I threw him up at the edge and he grabbed his grappling hook. He pressed a button that brought back the line which made me jump onto the edge. "I think we found his distraction and that's you. So, you thinking what I'm thinking?" I asked and Ira chuckled a bit as he nodded.

"Oh, Perfect Infinity, I don't know about you but, I would love to leave the Resistance and join your side," Ira spoke as I hid behind a wall of sorts. "Really? Is that so?" The wolf asked, floating toward Ira. "Yes, it seems so boring here and with you around over there. It seems that fun has dominated the area." Ira explained, giving Perfect Infinity a little smirk. I took my chance and spin dashed straight into Perfect Infinity who landed on the ground with a thud. "Great job, Ira!" I exclaimed, giving the jackal a high five. "Oh, you play dirty and I like that you do. Until next time, Ira." Perfect Infinity spoke as he flew away somewhere else.

"Pardon me but, what the fuck was that all about?" I asked and Ira did nothing else but, shrug.
