Gadget finally met up with Infinite after a few minor errors on his map. He was done with being a coward and decided to look for Infinite while the others weren't looking. "The trembling child arrived, looking for me?" Infinite taunted while floating. Gadget just stood his ground and prepared himself for a fight but he couldn't help having a panic attack inside. "Not speaking well I suppose that is what happens when you're too afraid...maybe Sonic was right." Infinite replied to his silence but that last part got to Gadget. "W-What do you mean?" The Wolf asked rather nervously. That's when something flashed through his head, it was a memory that belonged to Sonic. "How come the Rookie doesn't speak?" Knuckles asked him. "He's probably tramatized after all he did witness people getting murdered!" Amy exclaimed, feeling bad for the wolf. "No Amy..he's just so shy and nervous. I am sorry to say this but he's a coward.." Sonic replied, not thinking at all of what he just said. "W-What...?" Gadget mumbled not believing what he saw. His idol..thought he was a coward and probably thinks Gadget will die in this war anytime soon. "You can't trust anyone here. No matter where you are or what time it is...people will betray you." Infinite replied as Gadget looked up at him. "I...I...don't want to be with Sonic anymore." The wolf said finally knowing the truth. He was heartbroken that his own idol would talk about him behind his back. "You can't trust anyone except for me." The Jackal said, walking towards the heartbroken wolf. "Huh?" Gadget was rather confused. "I know that this world is full of lies and sins. But if you join me..You can learn the truth and not be lied to. People will learn that you shouldn't be lied to you or else danger will come.." The Jackal explained as his arms wrapped around Gadget's waist. The Wolf looked away while blushing, not really knowing what to do. "Join me." Infinite said, his grip getting tighter. Gadget was sweating a bit not knowing what to do, should he go with a villian who promises the truth or the backstabbing hero? Gadget was just torn between the two but Infinite was getting to his head and his heart. "O-Okay.." Gadget breathed out, blushing even more. "A good choice, Dear." Infinite said, flying towards Eggman's lair with Gadget in his arms. Rookie shouldn't be doing this, right? If not, why does it feel so right and isn't he supposed to be allowed to go with his crush or his newly found lover?
