Infinite's Pov:
I hear footsteps come near me and I flinch from each step that person took. I grasped on the kitchen knife I had in my hands as I tried to pretend to be asleep. The footsteps stopped as a shadow loomed over me. I felt a hand on my shoulder and that's where I grabbed the hand. The person let out a surprised sound as I threw them against a wall. I went up to them with the knife against their throat. I looked up to see the person that could have attacked me only to see that wolf. That wolf from the Resistance. "Oh, it's just you. I thought that blue bitch taught you better than to sneak up on an enemy." I sneered as I continued to place the knife close to his neck. So close it was at a point to where a cut could be made. "Calm down, Infinite! I won't attack you because actually, I have been trying to find you." The Wolf exclaimed as he sweated a little. "Why?" I mumbled and I felt a sudden pain in my legs. "No! Don't show yourself as weak to a rival!" I thought to myself as I continued to glare at the person in front of me. "No, let's just go to the base." He replied and I pushed him harder against the wall again. "Why should I? You'll just att-" I stopped midway by falling to my knees as I vomited. "No, I won't. I just want to heal you and from there I want to talk." The Wolf replied as he put one of my arms over his shoulder. I didn't bother fighting back as I was too weak to even do that.

We reached the base with ease as he opened the front door. "Wait here, I'll get the medical equipment and set up your bed." The Wolf explained as he sat me down on a couch. I slowly nodded as I stared at him while he went a few stairs up to get everything set. I waited patiently as I looked around the base and I heard nothing. Was no one here at this time? Weird, Resistance members should be calculating stuff and saving people. I don't know what they do but, they are definitely not doing their job. All of sudden, a hand was beside me and I looked up to see Shadow. "What are you doing here?" He asked, clearly angry. I looked away as my voice hurts from the pain I felt in my throat. "Oh so, you're gonna ignore me? Well, if you won't talk. That means you won't scream." He spoke as he removed his hand beside me. What does he mean by that? I saw him back up as he all of a sudden summoned the Chaos Emeralds. "Chaos Cont-" The Wolf jumped on him to stop him from saying that. "Shadow! What is the matter with you?" The Wolf exclaimed as he kicked at the Hedgehog's side. "Just trying to finish business. Now, out of the way!" Shadow spoke as he pushed the Wolf aside. He suddenly kicked the Hedgehog's legs as he pointed his grappling hook at Shadow. "Look here. I'm done playing nice." The Wolf started.

I looked at him with astonishment as I have never seen two members of the Resistance fight each other. "I'm doing a favor for everyone. I just wanna heal him and talk to him! So, let me do the job and by that I mean, fuck off Shadow!" The Wolf yelled and I was surprised at that statement. Shadow punched the Wolf in the stomach as he pinned his hands above him. "Or what, Rookie?" Shadow questioned with a slight smirk. "Or else, this grappling will go straight through your skull. Plus, if you don't stop referring to me by real name, Gadget. I will personally get my wispon and shoot you there." He threatened the Hedgehog. I could never have the courage to do that. "Whatever, Gadget." Shadow got off of him as he pushed the Wolf aside. He went outside the door as Gadget brushed the dust off himself. "Sorry about that, Infinite. Let's get your wounds cleaned up. Also, call me Gadget." He said as he opened the case full of medicines and equipment. I blushed as I stared at the Wolf. My hand went to my chest as my eyes softened. What is this feeling? I never had anyone fight someone to protect me. Why would he do that? Wait, I'm falling in love. I know these reactions. I don't blame myself though, Gadget is quite an attractive wolf as well as a loyal companion.
