The scene begins with..

"Nahiiiiiii"

Akash woke up with a startle, his eyes are widened in shock, he got up throwing the blanket from him. He is taking heavy breaths. Adarsh who came back washroom, as he just got up and freshened up. He frowned on seeing aki like that.

"Aki...kya hua bacha?" He rushed to him and sat beside him, rubbing his back.

"I'm sorry bhaiya... I'm really sorry... I'm sorry! Mujhe aise baat nhi karna tha" Adarsh pulled him out from the hug, and made him look up.

"Kya bol rhe ho bacha? Sorry kyu?" Aki sobbed hard.

"Aki...bas...bacha ro mat" Adarsh wiped his tears gently and placed a kiss on his forehead, while aki is keep on saying sorries.

"Mujhe maaf kar do bhaiya, i shouldn't have talked like that. Mai bahut bura hu..."

"Aki, stop it! kya hogya hai tujhe?" Adarsh is not understanding. The boy is repeating the same sentence for the past 5 mins.

"Shhh...bas...bas..bas...Dekh... idhar dekh...Kya hogya bacha? Koi sapna dekha tumne?" He guessed it.

"Nahi...Mai apse bahut rudely baat kar rha tha bhaiya. I was yelling at you...Maine kaha ki aap meri ek baat nhi maante ho...but u won't do that...aap humesha meri baat sunte ho...how could I talk like that bhaiya...I am very bad hai..na.." Adarsh whacked him not soooo gently, and Aki stopped crying. And glared at him rubbing the sting.

"Kya hai aapka...Subah subah kyu maar rhe ho?" Adarsh glared at him harder.

"Don't you dare say that my bacha is bad. Bahut maarunga Mai. Samjhe?" Akash pouted and nodded cutely. Adarsh sighed and shook his head. He had some dream and talking as if it had happened in reality. Aww!

"It was a dream bacha...U didn't talk rudely with me." Aki understood after a whole one min of thinking.

"Ohhhhhhhhh" He wondered, after realising!

"Kya ohhhh? Iske liye bhi koi rota hai. Pagal! Dara Diya na subah subah...chal uth...go and fresh up now" Adarsh said in a annoyed tone. He was scared that the boy started to cry like a baby, early in the morning! Aki pouted and hugged him.

"Mai rota hu...aap mere dad ho bhaiya... Agar sach me Mai aapse aise baat karta na toh i would  hate myself. You are the best bhaiya anyone could ask for! Aap humesha meri baat maante ho...I love you bhaiya" Aki was really disappointed with himself as he thought he really talked like that with his bhaiya. Though it's a dream,he hates it. Adarsh kissed his forehead. He made him emotional early in the morning, then he chuckled a bit!

"Love you too mera bacha..! Chal ab Uth "
Aki looked at him with cute puppy face.
It's Sunday, and he wants to sleep more!

"Todi der aur Sona hai bhaiya!" Adarsh shook his head and pulled him out from the bed and slowly started to push him towards the washroom. Aki whined but adarsh didn't listen to anyting.

"Be quick aki, Your favourite drink will be waiting for you...!!" Aki made a happy smile, gone the tiredness from him. Adarsh went downstairs to make the chocolate shake which his kid loves crazily!

Akash is sitting on his bed with his mobile, playing games. He is very bored. His bhaiya also left to office. He is annoyed that, even in Sunday Adarsh has to go office. He left after the breakfast itself.

He heard the door opening sound and looked there then sat straight.

"Bhaiya..aap?" He frowned on seeing Adarsh there. He told him that he will be back by evening.

"Haan Mai...kyu kya hua?" Akash shook his head and smiled softly when Adarsh kissed his forehead, coming near him.

"Ap jaldi kaise agye?" Adarsh sat beside him and Aki rested his head on his shoulder.

"I sorted out the problem bacha. Then why should I be there. Tum batao, kya plan hai aaj" Aki by now, is fully focused on his video game on mobile again.

"Plan? Hmmm...As usual bhaiya..!" He said casually and shrugged his shoulders.
Adarsh shook his head with a sigh.

"Wo nhi bacha, What about Study?" He asked in a firm tone.

Akash didn't went to college in the past 1 week. As he was sick he took leave for 2 days, then he took leave without purpose for the rest of the days. He used the sick card on Adarsh who agreed without a second thought. Akash knows how to play the game with his bhaiya well. And this week, he was full on enjoying the college. He bunked many classes. Adarsh could see his kid is neglecting studies nowadays, A Lot! It's high time he steps in. Other wise Akash would completely ignore it. He wants to know the reason first, though he could see, that it's because of Over confidence! But, What ever it may be, Adarsh decided to put an end to that with the determination!

"Haan..karunga..." He replied without an interest.

"I know tu karega...but sharp at 7 Pm, You will be writing a test today. Prepare for it."
Adarsh informed him firmly and stood up.
Akash put down his phone with a thud and glared at him.

"What is the need for that bhaiya?"
Adarsh gave him a look, akash has to look away. He couldn't stand those looks. Never.

"Really Akash? What is the need?" Akash tried to speak, but Adarsh beat him to,
"Once u will be done with your test, you will get the answer for your question Akash" Akash got confused. What does it means?

"Bhaiya Aaj Sunday hai.." Aki tried again, with cute puppy eyes.

"So what? The past few days were nothing but an enjoyable Sunday's for u. Isn't it? No more excuses Aki, Start studying." Adarsh decided to leave, But aki being aki,whined.

"Pls...bhaiya...Why should I write that test? Mujhe pata hai sab!" That confirmed Adarsh's doubt. So his child is full on over confidence. He should break that bubble first. He himself had taught akash to have confidence in what ever he does. But he never thought, that aki would have over confidence.

"Sharp at 7, I should see u in Study Akash. Do not make me repeat!" His voice left no room for argument. Akash jumped on his bed angrily, laying down, once Adarsh left.

"Hitlerrrrrrr" he yelled!

Within few minutes, in anger, he unknowingly slept.

"Aki..utho... lunch ready hai bacha"
Akash threw himself on Adarsh lap hugging his midriff.

"Sone do na bhaiya..pls"
Adarsh carressed his head.

"Lunch karna hai na bacha..utho"
He shook his shoulders.

"Plssss... bhaiya" he whined hugging him more tightly.

"Aki enough uth. Biriyani banaya hu. Nhi khana tujhe?" Aki's mouth watered, but he loves his sleep too!

"Uth bacha...wash ur face, u won't feel sleepy..." Aki pouted and got up.
Adarsh left downstairs.

Aki came hopping on the stairs. Adarsh saw that.

"Aki bahut baar bol chuka hu mai, STOP HOPPING ON THE STAIRS!" Aki nodded rolling his eyes. Adarsh shook his head.
May be he is spoiling him a lot with his pampering, nowadays! He thought.

"Acha nhi karunga na bhaiya, chup kyu ho aap" he asked when Adarsh didn't say anything.

"Hmm..kuch nhi bacha... Baith"
Adarsh served him a plate of biriyani, it's very hot.

"Aram se aki, garam hai!"

Akash gave a wide smile and touched it, then yelped.

"Ouch...garmi hai" he kept his finger in his mouth and pressed it.

"Kaha tha na garam hai, bahut jal rha hai bacha?" Aki shook his head in no, and pouted.

"Aap hi khilao" Adarsh gave him a playful glare, when Aki smiled innocently, but adarsh know Its anything but innocent!

"Drame karne ki kya zarurat thi, chal muh khol!" He fed him, blowing each time.
Akash enjoyed his biriyani fed by his Bhaiya! Very much!

It's 6.40Pm now, and Akash is standing outside the study, having a lil bit nervousness. He is sure he knows everything, on other hand he doubts that. That doubt put him in the dilemma, to go inside or to tell his bhaiya that he will write the test tomorrow. But he sighed, that his brother won't agree for that, atleast he should have studied in morning or afternoon, as his brother informed him in the morning itself. But then, Its too late for regrets. He took a deep breath and cleared his mind from the dilemma and decided to face it. He Knows everything, he believed himself. He has confidence....! Even without revising or preparing for the test, HE CAN WRITE IT! He slowly opened the door, and walked inside.

"Are you ready?" Adarsh has an expectation that Akash would atleast tell him that he didn't prepare anything and ask some time for a quick revision. But what Aki said made him shook his head in disbelief. He is still being over confident.Akash will himself learn the lesson. He gave him the question paper.

"Now the time is 6.50, start from 7 and finish it by 8.30. I didn't set many questions. All the best Bacha!" Adarsh gave him a smile, and Aki smiled back and sat down with his papers.

He started to read the question paper first,
As he read each one, he started to think how to do this and that, he searched his mind to get hints for each question, but he found that lacking. He calmed down, and slowly started to think again. But he got no hints for some questions and some questions seemed like he had never seen that. He tensed, but then thought, he shouldn't get tensed now. It will make him forget everything. Well, he knows the answer for some questions. It's 30 there, he knows 14 questions! He took his pen and started to write that 14 first, he can think about the left over, once he his done with this.

Adarsh noticed his every looks, he could clearly see that Aki is getting irritated now, it's been 30 mins, still the boy is just thinking for all answers. He had hardly seen him writing anything there in the past half an hour. But he didn't said anything now, he would talk, once he give him the answer sheets.

Time passed quickly. It's 8.25 now. Still aki didn't write half of the questions. Even those 14, which thought he knows. Those are also not so correct. He has three reasons, Reason 1, he don't know. Reason 2, On spending more time for thinking the right answers for each question. Reason 3, He tensed a bit, and that made him even more irritated to get an answer. Now he is stuck with one question, and he is getting angry on himself for not revising, the question paper was full of the topics which he knew very well, but he didn't touch his book for the past few days. Though he had the lil bit of idea, he doubted that too and he could not able to shape it as the correct answer. That's because he didn't study! He didn't took notes. And now he is struggling to write down the answers.

Adarsh made his way to him and sat beside him. Aki looked up at Adarsh.

"I didn't wrote this well bhaiya. Sorry!"
He handed him the answer sheets. Adarsh kept it aside and hugged him.

"It's ok bacha, You have enough time to cover it all. Don't you? Use it wisely Aki. But I want you to understand one thing Aki, I know you will always be confident with what ever you do. But bacha, What you are having now is not confidence, it's overconfidence. There's a huge difference between these two bacha, Confidence makes us build up the steps of success by ourself, it will make a way for us to achieve our goals, while over confidence ruins it and makes us step away from our goals. I want you to understand this. Confidence is a fine trait Aki, but Overconfidence isn't. The more you learn, the more knowledge u gain, the more you are building up yourself to apply that in your life in every situations. But what you should do for that is, put Effort Aki, in the end, it will all pay off bacha. Mai humesha kya kehta hu, hmm" he cupped his face gently, "The one thing that matters is the"

"Effort"Aki completed it.

"Your Efforts are the one which is important for your success beta. Don't think u know everything, think that, u will learn a new thing every day. I think now u got the answer for your question which u asked me in the morning" Akash hugged him with a nod. And Adarsh rubbed his back.

"Sorry bhaiya. Mujhe aise nhi karna tha. I won't do this again bhaiya." Adarsh pulled him back.

"That's ok bacha, don't apologise. I just want u to understand this." Aki nodded.

"I understood bhaiya. I will surely put the efforts which i didn't put in the past few days." Adarsh smiled.

"Lekin mujhe ye bata, is it only over confidence that stopped u from studying or is it something else? Like...is something distracting you aki? I know you will not lie to me. Jo bhi hai, tell me bacha. You know right, we are also best friends, You should not hide anything from me Aki" Akash sighed.

"Wo bhaiya I...I...was just" Adarsh stopped him.

"Shh...relax.. Why are you stammering bacha? What ever it is, I want to know aki. But you should not be afraid to tell me that. That's what I expect from u. Now if u are ready, start talking" Adarsh's voice had the gentleness till now, His bhaiya knows the way how to make him understand every single thing, He knows how to make him understand the point clearly and correctly, and what is the way for that, and what would work in the situations, he would always drive the point home in the correct time and that's what he likes about his brother's way of making him understand. Though He likes his way, sometimes it felt really hard for him, but by now, he is used to it.

"Aki, kaha kho gye bacha?"
He asked, when he didn't get any replies from him.

"Kahi nhi bhaiya..aur hann...wo main na...toda...nahi...matlab zyada hi...masti mazak me lag gya hu...I bunked my classes bhaiya. I took leave unnecessarily, notes bhi nhi likha Maine. I ignored my studies bhaiya, and that's because of Over confidence.I was full on fun mood these days. Lekin now I understood that, i shouldn't have been this much drown into the fun world that i forgot to study. Abse nhi hoga yeh bhaiya. I promise. I'm Sorry bhaiya, I'll accept the punishment"Akash said, what ever he did, without having the fear or the thought of he should hide it from his bhaiya because he will scold him, , he knows that what he did was wrong. He is ready to accept the consequences. He understood his mistake. And he himself told that to Adarsh.

"What is the need for punishment bacha? I punish u so that u will understand what you had done was wrong. I want to make sure that you will not do that mistake again. But now u understood what u did was wrong, then why should I punish you now?
I know you will Not repeat this bacha, u realised your mistake by yourself aki, it won't let you make the same mistake again. So, NO need for me to do that Beta. But haan, complete your notes. There should be no pending Aki" Adarsh concluded in a Stern tone, and Aki nodded with a smile. He learnt the lesson by himself with the help of his Bhaiya's way of making him understand that! He understood, Overconfidence leads to Ignorance! And He won't repeat it again!
