Oberoi Mansion...

Akash was a rebel, when he was 17. He was stubborn like a rock and throwing tantrums for every single thing was his favourite work to do... testing adarsh's patience was another thing...and that occurs more often. He had been doing good in both his studies and sports. But studies bcoz of adarsh's firm ways and sports bcoz of his interest. That's the only difference. Akash won't sit down and study, if not adarsh make him do. He's nearing his boards and aki seemed to be showing no interest on studies and got himself fully engaged on sports that is..football....!!

Days passed with adarsh continuously reminding about the exams which is knocking at his door...and aki ignoring it with an attitude... let's see..how the attitude is gonna get changed into better one.....!

One fine day..

Adarsh- Aki bacha utho...aki ...get up...!!

Adarsh tried waking up the boy ...since past five mins...but he's sound asleep...!

"Akii...utho...you are getting late for school beta..get up..." Adarsh nudged him but the boy just covered himself with the blanket.

Adarsh shook his head in disbelief.

Adarsh - Aki...get up I said...aj test hai tera...do you remember?!

Yes..aki has a revision test...which he is not at all prepared off... he's planning on taking leave...but would it happen?!...

"That's enough Akash...GET UP NOW!!" Adarsh had to be firm or else he knows that the boy won't listen.

Aki- kya hai aapka... pareshan mat karo na mujhe...

Aki turned away, but Adarsh, getting frustrated, pulled the blanket off him, folded it in half, and gave him a gentle whack with it.

Aki- bhaiyaaaa...!!

Adarsh- chup chap uth Jaa..akki... It's getting late..!!

Aki pouted, adarsh rolled his eyes. It was no less than a feather touch, his kid is overacting.

Aki- mujhe neend aa rhi hai...

Adarsh - Will you get up now? Or do u need anymore motivation?

Now that adarsh seemed really stern, aki could not test waters. He got up, rubbing his eyes harshly and soon hissed as adarsh swatted his hands off hardly, without remorse.

Adarsh- Didn't i told you not to do that?

Aki- Par mujhe karna hai..!" saying he again rubbed which earned him an another whack.

Adarsh - akii..!!

Aki- kya hai apko...subah subah maar rhe ho mereko....don't talk with me bhaiyaa...jao ap yaha se...

Shouting at him, he jumped off the bed ignoring adarsh's concerned caution, and walked to the washroom, angrily.

Adarsh sighed, "ye ladka bhi na..!!"

He took out his uniform and other things, setting everything for aki to get ready before moving out to make breakfast.

Aki ate breakfast without a fuss, enjoying his favorite meal made by Adarsh, who wanted him to be in a good mood for his exam. However, Aki still seemed upset, likely due to Adarsh being strict with him since morning, while Adarsh thought his strictness was necessary, but now wondered if it had backfired, putting Aki in a bad mood despite the special breakfast.

Adarsh- Aki..talk to me bacha.. I'm sorry na..

Aki- No..!

He walked out from the dining room to wear his shoes.

Adarsh followed him..

Aki- mere peeche mat karo ap...mujhe nai karna aapse koi baat...just go away bhaiyaa..

Adarsh glared at him..he knows that he shouldn't have been strict and stern while waking him up..but that doesn't mean the boy will take such tone with him...and knowing that this had been happening quite a long time..adarsh couldn't help but think about changing it into a better one...

Which he'll..soon!..

Adarsh - Mind your tone with me Akash Oberoi..!!

Akash apologized and straightened up, intimidated by his brother's stern glare and even sharper tone.

Adarsh- Aki mai pyar se bol rha hu...Fix your attitude before i do it for you...

Aki- sorry!!

Adarsh sighed inwardly, he knows that the apology was just because he was reprimanded now...not that he understood what he's trying to say...

Adarsh- I'm sorry.. that i had been scolding you since morning...udaas mat raho plss..

Aki nodded..

Adarsh- baat nai karoge apne bhaiya se..?

Aki stood without saying anything...

Adarsh - akki..?!

..

Adarsh- I'm sorry bacha..baat karo na mujhse..!

...

Adarsh sighed.

Aki- Only if you take me out for gaming zone and dinner tonight....!

Adarsh gladly agreed to it and hugged the boy tightly.

Adarsh - I love you Mera bacha...!!

Aki- Luv u too bhaiyaa...!!

Pulling out from the hug, Adarsh caressed aki's face and frowned on seeing the dark circles under his eyes.

Adarsh- Fir se der raat tak jag rhe ho tum? Itna dark circles... seriously aki?!

Aki looked here and there.. no use on lieng to him ...he knew that his brother knows it all...and also he has no idea of lieng to him..he knows better than that..

Adarsh - Keep control on yourself bacha... don't push me take away your electronics...

Aki gulped at the gentle toned warning...

Adarsh- Are you prepared for the Test?!

Aki could not help but think of lieng...just a min ago...he thought better than that...but now he couldn't help but lie..bcoz he don't want to upset his brother...who had been constantly telling him to focus on study...but he insisted did on entertainment...he don't want adarsh to know this... he'll pass the test..anyhow..he believed himself...but he doesn't want adarsh to know that...
his thoughts snapped when adarsh called him out a lil louder.

Adarsh- Akki... I'm talking to you bacha..

Aki gulped... something inside... him is screaming not to lie...but he opposed.. it..he don't want to see the upset face of his brother now nor he wanna listen any lectures...he know how to tackle the exam...

Aki- i..I'm..pre..pared..bhaiyaa..!

Adarsh could see the lie as clear as the day light. The boy didn't look up at his eyes. He was upset that his kid just lied to him...he knew very well that aki had not touched his book.. still..,

Masking his upset face, he brought a smile.., he wants to know how aki is gonna handle this exam.."That's good..I hope to see an improvement this time..and you know what that means?!" He raised his eyebrows..

Aki- Improvement in my efforts..!!
Aki mumbled slowly, looking down..

Adarsh- look up aki!!

As he did, "Do you want to say anything?" Adarsh asked again.

Aki gulped again.. before shaking his head in no.

Aki-...uhh.. I'm...getting late... bhaiya....

Adarsh nodded. As soon as aki went to bring his bag...adarsh let out a deep breath....the boy is ....an idiot...!!! He could have told him that he's not prepared...but no...why would he?!.. Adarsh really wants to know...how he's gonna write his test now... he's eagerly waiting for his results...He hoped aki wouldn't choose any wrong routes...it's better if he admits the truth to him atleast after coming back home..he just hoped for it... Little did he know ...what's...waiting..for..him?!

On reaching the school..

Adarsh- All the best bacha...do well..! Hmm?!

He kissed his forehead for few  seconds.

Aki- i love you bhaiya...!

Aki said in a low voice, adarsh looked at him and pulled him into a hug.

Adarsh- I love you more akki...just remember one thing....Think... before...you..Act..!!!

Aki looked up at him him and nodded pushing back his tears..... Before adarsh could see...

And then he walked inside the campus...not before saying bye to adarsh...who left once he saw akki went inside the campus half-away...!!

Krish- Are you ready or are you not?!

Aki- tujhe kya lagta hai?

Riya/Krish- You are not..!!

They said simultaneously...they shouldn't have even asked..they knew it..!!

Aki - pata hai na..toh bolo na kya karu ab..i have only 30 mins to do something...

He ran his hands through his hair...in frustration...he should have atleast revised few important things in morning... atleast...but no he didn't...and as he is getting near the exam... he's getting frustrated on himself for not doing anything...he is not at all scared...but he wants to pass atleast...but knowing nothing related to today's exam.. he's getting really frustrated...and not afraid because he knew adarsh won't be harsh with him for marks..His efforts are what matters...and even he knew he had been putting very less efforts and he also knows that adarsh too knew it. So passing this exam is important...but getting good marks is not...for him now..! He's sure, once the results are out, he will be in for a very long lecture along with lots of whacks...for not focusing on studies ...but he doesn't really care about the future thing now..he is just worried about the present...

Riya and krish looked at eachother and shook their heads...the boy is really getting himself in hot waters...

Riya- You could have studied idiot..we had 3 freaking study holidays..!!

Krish- He was too busy with play station riya...but don't worry ... he will soon kiss good bye to it for a long time .. ofcourse.....!!

Aki glared at them.. before standing up and taking his books.

Aki- You know what... i don't want to talk to u both...yaha Mai itna pareshan hu...aur tum dono koi idea nai de rha ho...instead you guys are making him feel guilty and scared ..

Riya glared at him..
"You still have 25 mins...but last min me padna acha nai hota hai...tu toh itna frustrated lag rhe ho ki...tum kuch nai samjhoge ab...do you realise aj humare math test hai??!  Arre tu toh bunk kar rha tha beta jab ye important topics were been taught ...U know what...You are screwed today...bhai se sach bol deta na..?!" Riya couldn't help but voice out her concern in an frustrated tone. She and krish had also told him to study...but the boy just...

Aki sighed. He knew that. Maths is not his cup of tea and he bunked many classes. He finds the subject really so difficult for him...only if it is adarsh teaching him, he understands anything in the subject..

Krish- riya stop it...ab isse kuch bolke koi fayda nai hai..and u..*turning to aki*  just go through the notes..." Saying, he handed him his notes...

Krish- we still have 20 more mins...just...see ..the ones you know already...

Riya- also the important ones... finish it fast...I will help you with the other things..jaldi time nai hai ...

Both his friends sat with him...and akki started going through each page...he remembered few concepts but still felt difficult...but with their help and with tricks...he revised that...and for other important topics...his friends helped him...in a short period of time...they made akki learn few very important concepts..at least the formulas...and now akki is lil bit confident about his exam though he is lil uncertain too.....but all thanks to his friends for helping him..though he didn't voiced it out as it's a no as per their rules....and it's true that...a friend can teach anything, in a easy way before the exam...!!

And soon the bell rang, gesturing the students to make their ways to their exam halls.

The trio fist bumped each other before getting in..and settling on their respective places..

And within few minutes the noisy room got into a pin drop silence with only a sound of turning the question papers..as they are reading...

Teacher- All the best students.. ! Now you can start with writing...!!"

Everyone begun to write...akki still read the question paper...he knows answers for only few questions...he sighed before starting... He is glad that he knew that few answers atleast.
Grinning to himself, akki begun...to write...not knowing what is in store for him....!!!!
