Chapter 1( Crazy Party Night)
Ronald's P.O.V.
My break had just started and already people were asking questions about my party.
( Fellow Reaper) Allen: So Ronald, I hear your throwing a party tonight. You know I'll be there. Your parties are legendary.
Ronald: Do me a favor and invite as many people as possible. The more people the more fun it'll be. It starts at 8:00.
(Fellow Reaper) Allen: Sure.
(Secretary) Sarah: And I can't wait. Don't forget you promised you'd have a drink with me.
Ronald: I'd never forget about you.
Ronald purrs in Sarah's ear. Her face is obviously flushed as he leans into her against the wall.
Sarah: Save it for the party.
Sarah gently pushes Ronald away and goes back to her work. I glanced at my watch. After my break, I have to collect a few more souls then I can start preparing for the party. With that in mind, I turn to tend to my own work.
Time skip.....
Meanwhile ( 8:00 at Ronald's House)
Music exploded and people poured into my home. Some came bringing alcohol and things to past the time. It was no secret that I threw memorable parties, things often happened to people who attended and many left deflowered and drunk out of their minds. Overall you left knowing you had the time of your life, not caring about the important decisions you made.
I was currently dancing with Sarah. Aside from the usual work outfit she wore, she had on something more suitable for a party. Lets just say it was very revealing. We danced for a fair amount of time before I broke away to get us something to drink. I walked over to the table over flowing with food and drinks. As I spooned us some of the punch someone made in the glass bowl, an associate of mine walked up to me.
Mike: So Ronald I see you found a new girl. She's pretty. Do you think you actually love this one for a chance?
Love? That was a word unfamiliar to me. Sure I guess you could say I liked a girl I went out with but love isn't the word I'd use to describe how I feel about her. My girlfriends never lasted long, I'm not the type who wanted to get tied down. What was the fun in that? We'd have some fun and then I'd look for someone else once the fun ran out but they always got mad at me. I really don't see what I was doing wrong, it's not like we were married. The best I could do was shrug and give Mike a straight forward answer.
Ronald: I don't know. She's alright I guess but she's getting too serious. I'm still young after all. Still free to have fun and not have too much responsibility. What ever happens between us just happens. It's not like I can't get someone else.
Mike: That's harsh to say but it's true for you I guess. You won't truly feel happy until you find the right girl believe me. I recently started dating a girl a met a few weeks ago and I know she's the one. I can actually say that I would marry her right this moment.
Ronald: Good luck with that. But whenever it doesn't work out, I'm going to say I told you so.
I didn't want to talk to Mike anymore and I walked away before he could say anything more. This is suppose to be a party and I'm going to have fun I thought as I made my way over to Sarah. She looked happy to see me and I handed her drink. She drank the whole thing in one go.
Ronald: That's going to go to your head.
Sarah: I still have a higher tolerance than you. You can barely remember who you are or where you are after just two drinks.
Ronald: I'm not going to deny that but can I ask you something?
Sarah: What is it?
Ronald: Can I borrow a kiss? I promise I'll give it back.
I didn't wait for her to say anything before I found myself leaning into her and our lips met each other. She blushes and closes her eyes. The kiss lasted for a few seconds before we broke apart.
Sarah: You and your cheesy pick up lines. ( Sarah says breathlessly)
Ronald: I want us to be alone, lets take a walk for a minute.
Time skip....
Sarah and I found ourselves away from the party and walking through a park. It was quiet with just me and her. She clung to my arm against the cool night air. Sarah obviously was getting a little too clingy for my taste, just like all the other girls do eventually. I knew she liked me but I didn't feel the same way. Sarah was pretty but that was just about it. We had almost nothing in common and I knew almost nothing about her. So why were we together? Sometimes I wouldn't even know why I dated half of the girls that I did. Even if it was to past the time or for fun, I couldn't help but feel smothered.
Truthfully, I've been thinking about breaking up with her soon. I've had my eye on the new librarian.....
My thoughts were soon interrupted when I heard the squeak of a swing while we were circling the park. I looked in the direction of the sound and saw a figure sitting on one of the swings. It looked like a girl and she had her back turned to us so I couldn't see her face but she had on a really cute outfit. It was a lace dress and it had ribbons on some parts of it. Her hair was also tied in a very long and curly pony tail with a blue hair tie. She was kind of hard to see in the dark though. She slowly pushed the swing back and fourth and seemed to be in her own world. Oblivious to everything around her, even us.
Ronald: Who's that? ( I ask Sarah)
Sarah: Don't mind her, she's just some weirdo. Everyone thinks she's crazy. But enough about that freak, pay attention to me.
I was going to at least acknowledge her but Sarah took me by surprise when she kissed me and was leading me back to the party. When I managed to glance back at the swings, whoever was on there was gone now. I shrugged it off........
