Harry, Ron, Hermione and Y/N were standing in the tower, watching Fawkes take flight. It was a truly beautiful sight, watching a phoenix take flight, its red and gold plumage glimmering under the soft evening sun, and its pure reflection dancing in the waters below.

"Come on, we have to go," Hermione said, shaking everyone out of their trances.

"Do we really have to?" Y/N whined, as Harry and Ron nodded behind her.

"Do you really want to get detention?" Hermione deadpanned.

"Did you really forget that fifth-years and above are allowed to be out until nine?" Y/N shot back, earning a 'wait-really' look from Harry and Ron.

"Did you have to say that in front of those two?" Hermione pointed a finger at Harry and Ron who chorused "Hey!".

"Yup. Now, who's coming with me to the kitchens? I'm hungry." Y/N said, as Ron slowly raised his hand.

"Alright, come on." Y/N said, trying to hide her blush, but Harry and Hermione noticed it and grinned.

"Have fun!" Harry yelled after them, smirking, and Y/N shot him a glare that said 'shut-the-hell-up'.

"First one to reach there gets all the eclairs!" Y/N said, sprinting past Ron.

"No fair!" Ron pouted behind her, but running fast enough to catch up with her.

Their laughter echoed through the empty halls, as they dashed past ghosts and paintings who yelled at them to keep it down, but they didn't hear them

All they heard was each other's lively laughter.

The two skidded to a halt in front of the fruit painting and Y/N tickled the pear. It giggled and turned into a handle, and Ron opened the door.

"Master Wheezy! Miss Y/L/N!" A little elf greeted, bowing.

"What would you wike, sir and miss?" Another one waddled towards them, looking at them expectantly.

"I reached first." Y/N said, turning back to face Ron.

"No, I did!" Ron protested.

"Let's ask the elves. Arlo, who came first? Me or Ron?" Y/N asked, turning to the first elf.

"Miss Y/L/N!" Arlo squeaked out.

"See? I get the eclairs!" Y/N grinned, as though to rub it in Ron's face.

Ron groaned and muttered a small "Fine." and went to find a few chairs.

Y/N giggled, got the eclairs, and marched to Ron, sitting beside him. Ron watched jealously as she downed two eclairs in a matter of few seconds. She glanced at Ron from the corner of her eye and saw him turning away, blushing furiously.

"You want one?" She asked with her mouth full.

"I can have one?" He asked, his cerulean blue eyes filled with child-like surprise.

"I don't see why not." Y/N shrugged and Ron immediately dived in for 5 eclairs at a frightening pace. Y/N giggled and continued eating.

~~~
"So, you didn't kiss each other?" Hermione asked, earning a groan from Y/N.
"Of course not! Why would I?" Y/N yelled, her voice muffled from the pillow she was stuffing her face into.
"Because you like him! Honestly, Y/N, why don't you just kiss him? It's just putting both of your lips together-" Y/N cut her off by saying,
"-And yet, you and Fred took 5 Hoover dam years! Hermy, it's not easy when you're, like, one of his best friends! If he doesn't like me back, which I'm sure he doesn't, it's going to destroy the whole entire friendship we had built over the years!" Y/N finished as Hermione sighed.
"You tell him, or I will." Hermione said firmly. Y/N screamed into her pillow for the millionth time.
Little did they know, the same thing was going on in the boys' dormitories.
~~~

"Mate, why didn't you? You know she likes you!" Harry asked, not lifting his head from the 'Quidditch Through The Ages' Hermione had got him in his 1st year.

"No, I don't! She's just being nice! Don't jump to conclusions, Harry!" Ron exclaimed, stuffing his face with Chocolate Frogs.

"Hermione told me she does." said Harry, making Ron stop eating. Harry looked up from the rim of the books without lifting his head and asked, "What?", like he didn't just tell Ron that his crush likes him back.

"She didn't!" Ron defied, now blushing. "You're just making it up!"

"Suit yourself." Harry said, shrugging. "Alright, I'm going to bed, night."

"Night." said Ron, putting out his bedside candle and blushing furiously.

'Maybe...' He wondered. 'Just maybe... Harry was right.'
