Narrator (Ava):
In the cheery streets of Mantua, Romeo strolled,
Hoping to hear from The Capulets and his own kin;
However, his happiness was heavily trolled,
When Balthasar, his servant, gave him a news that made his head spin.

Romeo (Hyunjin): What do you mean by ‘she’s dead’?

Balthasar: It’s exactly what it sounds like, sire.

Romeo (Hyunjin): Then I shall defy the stars!

Balthasar: It’s the morning, sire. The stars are nowhere around.

Romeo (Hyunjin): (cries) I shall die, too!

Balthasar: I don’t care at this point, to be honest. Y’all are a bunch of crazy weirdos. Just pay me my wages.

Romeo (Hyunjin): How are things in Verona?

Balthasar: What are you expecting?

Romeo (Hyunjin): (wails) I wanna go to Juliet!

Balthasar: What a crybaby!

[Exit Balthasar]

Narrator (Ava):
And so, despaired and destitute,
Romeo wandered off to an Apothecary for aid;
Asking for poison, or a remedy acute,
But an adieu he was truly bade;
The young lover was rewarded with poison,
And he walked back to his city; 
As if he had committed some treason,
The sight before him wasn’t so pretty.

Romeo (Hyunjin): If Juliet is gone, then so is Romeo.
