For Hayley

A/N: This one goes out to HayleyStumpXx. In their story this character gets abused so much. This story isn't romantic but just a short story. It's lousy af sorry.

I looked up from my book to see Patrick about to knock on my wall as my door was open. I smiled. "Are you okay?"

He forced a smile and walked in awkwardly. He just stood there staring at his shoes. He went to take a deep breath but it ended up being one of those where the breath is divided into little short sharp ones. "I'd be lying if I said yes.... but hopefully I will be."

I gestured for him to sit next to me on my bed. He shrugged and joined me. I offered my hand and he took it. Before I knew it he was sobbing in my arms. I inhaled deeply. Oh god, oh god. I wish I could make it all better. I truly wished I could make it go away. To keep him from every seeing harm again, but knowing I couldn't do that broke me. However knowing I could help is what kept me going. He needed someone, and truth be told I needed someone too. We were both shattered in different ways but that wouldn't stop our friendship it would instead strengthen it. In a weird way we understood each other.

He looked up at me, his eyes red from crying, his face tear stained. "Why are you crying?"

I buried my face into his chest. "I'm just tired," I mumbled. I glanced at my clock on the wall. "It is almost dinner time, are you hungry?"

He managed a weak laugh, his voice croaked. "Yeah, sure."

I picked up my phone and ordered pizza. For once I paid for pizza delivery, as this time the price seemed worth it. We were both snuggled up in soft fluffy plush blankets like two burritos. He sat next to me as the next episode of Lazy Town played.

"I'm sorry about earlier," he apologised.

I shook my head. "No, no. Please don't apologise. You don't need to. You were at an emotional point, and it needed to come out. I was too."

He smiled back and me and took a massive bite out of the pizza. I laughed, and we both continued to root for Robbie Rotten as we sat comfortably eating pizza.

Patrick smiled once more. "You know, I don't even like LazyTown that much.... it just gives us a chance to be together and just exist."

I smile right back at him. "I agree but Robbie though."

We both managed to laugh. Sometimes just existing was enough, especially when you had someone to exist with.
