Two weeks in Hawaii blew by fast.  Lucas and Rose had gone on several hikes. They explored a dormant volcano. There were a few rainy days where they languished in bed and ordered room service. Mostly though their honeymoon was just time alone,  having adventures and further exploring each other. When the day came to leave and go back to the SeaQuest they worked as a team to get their belongings and gifts for their friends ready to go. 

"You know? I actually do miss everyone. "Rose said as she ducked back into the bathroom to double check that they had everything.

Lucas nodded."Yeah, I do too. Derrick and Mitch have gotta be going crazy!"

"Liv and the other girls too. They're all going to have so many questions!"

"They will." He agreed. He looked around the room to be sure all their stuff was in order ,and his com went off. "Miguel checking in. He's about a half hour out."

"OK! I think we have  everything. It looks good! Guess we better check out."

"Yep, let's do this!"

The newlyweds hefted their bags and went down to the outdoor bar to wait for Miguel's call. As they sat enjoying the music and the gorgeous weather, Lucas smiled, and entwined his fingers with Rose's.

"You know something?" He asked looking over his sunglasses to catch her gaze.

"What?"

"This is the happiest I've ever been."

Rose blushed, but maintained her gaze with her husband.

"Mr.Wolenczak, you are such a sweetheart." She leaned forward and kissed him softly.

Suddenly his com beeped. Cutting their moment a little short.

"Where are you Miguel?" Lucas answered.

The Commander cleared his throat from a couple yards away. He grinned. "Your chariot awaits! Sorry for interrupting... but time to get back to work kids!"

"Thank you for the ride Commander." Rose grinned.

Miguel nodded and offered to take one of Rose's bags.

"You're welcome.  We've missed you guys! Captain Ford is all ready being briefed right now on our next mission. I  heard something involving some seismic and geothermal activities in strange places.  We're probably going to have to go investigate."

"Sounds interesting!" Rose said as she walked between the men. In no time at all they were back at the launch site. Lugging their bags and getting the pre-launch checks finished. Rose pulled out their gift for the Commander once they were settled."Here Miguel, we got you a gift."

Miguel turned in his seat toward Rose. He smiled a huge dimply smile as Rose handed him a brown paper bag.

"You guys didn't have to..."

Lucas cut in, "Oh yes,yes we did!"

Miguel opened the bag and reached in,  pulling out a brightly colored button up, legit Hawaiian shirt. His face lit up and he laughed. "OH MY GOD! I love it! It's perfect! Thanks guys!!!"

They all shared a good laugh.  Truth was though,  Rose had picked out a shirt that truly suited the  Commander.

"All right guys.  We really do need to go.  Seriously though,  I love it."

"You're so welcome! When I saw it,  I KNEW it was the exact perfect gift!"

"Man I can't wait until my next leave so I can wear it!" He flipped some more switches, the hatches all closed.  The cabin pressurized and everyone buckled in. "Ready?"

"Yep,onto the next mission!" Lucas said.
