We'll be looking for sunlight, or the headlights, till our wide eyes burn blind.

Calum smiled, looking over at Lea who was in the passenger seat of her own car.

"I still can't believe that you convinced me to drive my baby," Lea groaned, watching as Calum changed lanes without putting on his signals.

They were on their second day of driving and Lea was still tired from the day before. She had driven thirteen hours and she felt as if her brain had melted from doing so.

"You would've made us crash if I hadn't seen how tired you were. You barely slept last night," Calum said, a concerned look crossing his features.

"You kept kicking me. Of course I didn't sleep well," Lea said, defending herself and making Calum sheepishly grin.

He normally didn't notice when he'd kick in his sleep and he didn't mean to. He was surprised that Lea hadn't said anything that night. She normally wouldn't take shit from him.

"Sorry about that," Calum said, his cheeks turning a slight pink.

"If that happens tonight I'm shoving you off the bed," Lea said and Calum knew he couldn't argue with that. He knew he could be a pretty active sleeper but didn't think he'd hurt his girlfriend.

Calum grabbed his coffee cup that was in the cup holder and took a sip out of it. They had about eight hours left until they got to Florida and the two were excited. They just hoped these eight hours would go quickly.

"Talk to me about something," Calum said, knowing if they didn't spend time talking that they'd be even more bored.

"I want to cuddle but you're driving," Lea admitted, just saying the first thing that was on her mind.

She wasn't about to beat around the bush and lie to her boyfriend.

"We only have eight hours and then we'll be cuddling in a hotel room that looks over the beach," Calum said, glancing over at Lea quickly who was fixing her bangs that were blowing flat against her forehead from the windows being open.

"And then we'll go to Disney the day after and then maybe to the pier that's near our hotel. It's going to be incredible Calum," Lea mused. She was smiling widely at Calum at the thought of their vacation.

School had been so stressful thinking through all the college plans they had to be making and all their final grades that would count towards scholarships. They just really needed to get away and go on this holiday. Just the two of them. To clear their minds and their heavy hearts.

"Can we go to Clearwater one day?" Calum asked and Lea eagerly nodded her head.

She had wanted to see Winter since the day the movie had come out.

"And we have to go to the beach at least three times," Lea said.

Calum just shrugged his shoulders. He liked the beach but not to the extent of going three days in a row.

"Oh come on Calum! It'll be fun. We can play in the sand. We can go in the water. We can play with the frisbee I packed! You can see me in a bikini," Lea said trying to reason.

"Fine. Fine. Fine. We can go to the beach," Calum agreed.

It was mainly the whole bikini ordeal that won him over.

"I promise you this vacation will be the greatest one we've ever experienced."

The pair then fell into a comfortable silence and listened to the soft him of the Amy Winehouse CD that Lea had brought. It was peaceful watching the scenery pass by and listening to the soft rhythms.

It kind of made Lea wish that they could stay in the car forever.

This was kind of short. I know. It took me awhile to write because I've been so busy and then something came up at home that made it even more difficult for me to find time to write which lead me to take a hiatus. But I'm back now and better than ever. Sorry you had to wait so long!
