Y/n's pov

It began to get late, the sun went down, and streets became dangerous. I grabbed my skates and put them on, b/n put his shoes on as well as we got ready to go. Once we were ready, we said our goodbyes. We were about to head out, but sans stopped us and said "the streets are dangerous at night, one of us should come along and make sure you get there safe". B/n and I nodded in agreement, and sans tagged along with us. On the way home, sans asked "where do you live anyway?". I said "we live in an apartment, I thought I told you that. But I guess I didn't", I looked behind me, and saw a silhouette of a man holding a knife. He was walking towards us, I got the attention of sans and b/n. They both turned and noticed, I said "run..... Run!", and started speed skating toward the apartment. Sans and b/n were next to me, riding a dragon like skull. I took my key out of my pocket and ran into the door, I then used the key to unlock the door and got inside. Sans and b/n followed me in and I slammed the door shut and locked it. I then remembered that we had food in here now, and ran to the kitchen saying "the food". I started opening the cupboards and checking the fridge, luckily, everything was still there. I said "phew, everything's still here. Hey b/n, do we have any more light bulbs?", b/n walked off and looked through a box. B/n said "we have one more light bulb, hopefully it works". B/n then grabbed a small stool, and borrowed my flashlight. B/n screwed in the lightbulb and said "turn on the light y/n", I walked over to the wall and flipped the switch. The light turned on, and it was then that we realized that we had a lot of cleaning to be done. It didn't really help that the couch was basically crap; comfortable, yes, but still crap. Sans was asleep on it, I figured that he had to be home with papyrus and the others by now. As if in cue, sans' phone rang. The caller ID proved that pap was calling him, so I took sans' phone out of his pocket and answered it. I held the phone a few inches away from my ear and said "hello?", papyrus then yelled "SANS WHERE ARE YOU? YOU SHOULD'VE BEEN HOME 5 MINUETS AGO". I said "pap it's me y/n, sans is asleep on the couch right now. Do you want me to wake him?". Papyrus sighed and said "NO, HE CAN SLEEP AT YOUR PLACE TONIGHT, JUST LETTING YOU KNOW NOW THOUGH, SANS GETS THIS THING CALLED NIGHT TERRORS SOMETIMES. I'VE NOTICED THAT IT MAINLY HAPPENS WHEM HE'S ALONE, SO IF ONE OF YOU TWO KEEP HIM COMPANY HE SHOULD BE FINE". I nodded and said "don't worry, I get them too. I'll keep sans company if it helps him, good night papyrus. And just call me if you need anything else ok?", papyrus said "OK, GOODNIGHT HUMAN Y/N" and hung up. I noticed a charger hanging out of sans' pocket, and decided to plug his phone in. I also plugged my phone in, and got ready for bed. I got a blanket and pillow from my room and put it on the floor, I also gave sans a blanket too. Once I got comfortable under the blanket on the floor, I let my mind wander. I began to fall asleep, until I saw a blue light come from sans. I sat up and saw he was having a night terror, I got closer to sans and started rubbing his back. I shushed him and said "it's ok, you're safe. Everyone is safe", sans began to calm down as I talked. I started humming a tune, and softly sang "just like balloons, we soar on our own. Finally free from the pain of our home, and just like balloons that no one will hold. Free from the truth, that no one will know". I then fell asleep, rubbing sans' back. I then found myself in a dark space, forever falling. I looked around, and dark red words began to form. They were all of the words or names I had been called through the years. "Childish" "freak" "pathetic" "worthless" "loser" "scum" and others showed up, and then whispered to me. Tears pricked my eyes as I tried to stay strong. The words turned into statements "no one will love you" "they only helped you because they took pity on you" "your brother doesn't even love you. He's never said it to your face before, so don't say I'm wrong" "worthless girl couldn't even keep her own family". That was it, I broke. I buried my face into my arms and quietly sobbed. I then heard laughter, a taunting, mean laughter. I hated it, I wanted this all to be over. I wanted to just wake up at home in my bed, I wanted to see mom and dad again. I wanted b/n to be happy, I want this to end. As I sobbed in a pathetic useless ball, I began to hear voices call my name. They were nice voices, voices that wanted to help. However, you can't fix what's already broken. I woke up to sans and b/n staring at me, I suddenly knew why. I was crying in my sleep, sans saw me cry. Sans just got to see how useless and pathetic I was, I got up and ran to my room. I closed my door hard and sat against the door so no one could open it. I just continued to cry until I could calm down to the point where it didn't look like I had been crying. Once my eyes were no longer puffy and red from crying, I got changed and brushed my hair. I then walked out into the living room, it was then that I had noticed that my self esteem vanished. Sans and b/n were staring at me again, I just looked down in shame. Sans asked "you ok y/n?", I said "sure, I'm fine". B/n said "was it the one with the names again?", sans looked quizzically at b/n. I nodded sadly, sans said "wait the one with the names? What does that mean?". I said "I find myself in dark space forever falling. Then, all the names I had been called over the years and more pop up in dark red text. The words then are whispered to me, and then the words turn into statements. Each one gets progressively worse, until I break and just accept them as facts. So b/n, please. I realized a truth, and you can say actions speak louder than words but I wanna hear this. So tell me, do you love me? If you do, than say it", b/n said "y/n, of course I love you, you're my sister. I love you y/n, so don't let those voices break our sibling love". I said "thank you", and walked to the kitchen. I grabbed the Honey Nut Cheerios and poured some in a bowl, and put some milk in there. I grabbed a spoon and enjoyed my cereal.
