Virgo turned off the ignition and jumped out of the van, her necklaces and metal bracelets clinking together as she did this. 

Everybody followed her, and she reached the front door, she stopped, sending everybody crashing into each other.

" What's the hold up, Virgo?" Leo asked.

She just pointed.

The door to their mountain house was open. " Who locked the door?"

" Errrr, me?" Leo's normally loud voice was a squeak. 

" WELL YOU LEFT THE DOOR OPEN!" She yelled at him. Virgo marched inside and turned on the lights to find........

Junk. Litter. Food. Trash. Everywhere.

She turned to face Leo. " Thanks a lot. Everyone, get back into the van. We're going to the police station. Someone obviously broke into the house."

Soon they arrived, and Virgo told the officer everything.

" So nobody was home, correct?" 

Everyone nodded. Pisces stepped up. " Yeah, we were out eating dinner."

" I see," The officer wrote some things down. " Looks like one of you may have forgotten to lock the door."

Leo stood up. " Maybe, me?" He squeaked. Next to him, Gemini and Aries rolled their eyes. 

" It was him," Gemini told the officer. 

The officer scribbled on his notepad. 

" Are you gonna send me to j-ja-jail?" Leo asked, his voice quivery. 

" No," The officer told him firmly. He turned to the rest of the signs. " Go back to your house, and we'll send some officers over soon to inspect the house."

Shakily, everyone rose out of their seats and got into the car. 

" I know it's all scary," Taurus, the mom of the group, told everyone. " But at least we're all okay." She leaned over into the trunk and pulled out a basket.

" Breadsticks, anyone?"

Cancer couldn't sleep. She was scared. Scared that whoever had come into their mountain house would come back again. Maybe this time they would even kill her!

She shivered, fighting back tears. She pulled aside the covers and got out of bed. 

On the other side of the room, her roommate, Virgo, didn't stir. Good. Cancer didn't want to wake her up. 

I'll get a glass of water, she thought to herself. 

She tiptoed past Libra and Gemini's room, Capricorn and Aquarius's room, Scorpio and Sagittarius's room, and finally made it to the kitchen. 

She quietly got a glass from the cupboard and filled it with cold water. 

"I might as well go back to bed,"  she whispered into the darkness. But then she got another thought. She would go for a walk. Maybe some excersise would make her sleepy.

Cancer was passing the game room when she noticed the light on. She pushed the door open and went in. 

Someone was playing mario kart. 

Then she saw him.

" Aries?" She asked softly. He turned his head to look at her, then motioned for her to come closer.

" Cancer, why are you up so late?" He asked. Cancer plopped down next to him on the couch. 

" Couldn't sleep. Oh Aries, what if they come back?" She covered her face with her hands. 

" Shhh," Aries paused his game and wrapped his arms around her. Although she was scared, Cancer blushed at being hugged by Aries. Being hugged by her crush. She pulled back and looked him straight in the eye.

" What if they kill me?"

" What? Cancer, why would you think like that?"

" Because. Whoever came in here and messed the house up probably was looking to kill someone. Someone like me."

" Cancer, don't think like that!" Aries soothed her. " Nobody would ever want to kill you. So don't think like that."

Cancer threw her arms around Aries again. 

" Oh Aries, thank you sosososo much. Thank you for reassuring me. I love you so-" She pulled back, blushing furiously at her outburst. 

Aries grabbed her hands. " It's okay, Cancer. I've been wanting to do something for a while."

And then he leaned down and kissed Cancer on her lips. She put her arms around his waist and kissed him back. 

Cancer couldn't believe it. Aries liked her back?

Aries released from the kiss. " I like you a lot Cancer. I've had a crush on you for like, forever. Will you be my girlfriend?"

Cancer was thrilled. " Of course, Aries, I'll be your girlfriend!" 

Aries quickly kissed her again and then pulled her onto his lap. " Wanna watch me play for a while? I'm really good."

" Sure!" Cancer snuggled up against him. And that was how they were the rest of the night.
