I walk out of the school entrance. Freshmen, Sophomores, Seniors, and Juniors like me. I slip on my sunglasses. I grab my skateboard, it's black with a skull in the middle. I draw my hair into a ponytail. I plug in my earphones. I crank my music up. I start skating. I see a girl walking , her head down. I can't go around. Her legs open, to tie her shoe. I roll my skateboard towards her and flip over her. Her brown ombre hair pulled in a tight ponytail. I land on my skateboard and skid to a stop. The girl doesn't know I did that. I smirk. I feel a poke in my arm. I turn. I see a freshman. I pull off my headphones.

"Hey."

The girl smiles at me.

"Hi! I'm Aphmau."

She sticks her hand out. I shake it. That name seems familiar.

"Echo. Nice to meet ya."

A white haired, green eyed boy stands next to her. He speaks,

"H-Hi. T-That was really cool!"

I salute them.

"Thanks. I have to go."

"Wait! Where are you going?"

"Park."

"Oh cool! Can I come with you?!"

I shrug.

"Sure."

"Travis, You wanna come?"

Travis shakes his head. 

"Can't sorry, Aph. See you tomorrow!" He waves and runs away.

I follow Aphmau to her mom's car.

A woman rolls down the window.

"Aphmau! Let's go!"

I look at the woman. Her face seems familiar.

"Hey, mom. I was wondering if I could go to the park with Echo."

"Echo?"

She looks at me.

"OH. MY. IRENE! ECHO JAZ!?"

I look at the woman.

"Um. Yes? Wait, Mrs. Silvana?"

"Ahhhhh!!!! Yes! Aphmau, Echo used to babysit you! And yes you can go with her. Tell Justine I said Hi!"

I smile and nod. Aphmau puts her bag in her mom's car. Her mom leaves and we head to the park. I ride slowly on my skateboard. My music low. Aphmau is walking next to me. Our school uniforms blow in the wind. My bag on my back, I look over at Aphmau.

"Aphmau, how old are you?"

"14."

I nod.

"16."

She nods. It's kinda weird between us. We roll into the entrance of the park and I see my friends. Christina, Ash, Tony, and Chris? Huh. He's never here. Oh well.

"ECHO!"

Christina waves at me. I wave back.

"Come on, Aph. Time for you to meet my friends."
