5. Don't rip off too many quotes.

This probably isn't even necessary, but some people may sometimes try too desperately to stay into character to the point of trying to copy-and-paste quotes as often as they can.

Don't do that.

You can stay perfectly into character without sucking up to canon quotes all the time (reading them often to get you a general synopsis of your character's character is 100% fine, though).

It also can take too much time, and that wouldn't be good because not everyone would be willing to wait for needless minutes for you to find a quote to copy-and-paste for them.

Conversations can also sound a little off, such as something like this:

It seems like it makes sense at first, but note that the dark blue quotes are simply copy-and-pasted.

Not only that, but this is somewhat out of character for Starpaw. She's not one who's supposed to reveal her identity as a former enemy clan member so quickly. 

It's not the best example, but it might do.

So just avoid copy-and-pasting quotes.
