Kai's eyes where glued to the TV screen, shock visibly shown on his face. He had just woken up and had gone down stairs to turn on the TV only to see the news talking about him and Akira. But what hurt the most... was that neither him or his sister ever knew about this...

Akira walked in with a smile on her face, but that smile immediately faded once she saw the news. "..W-What...? Kai.. what.. I don't understand.." She mumbles before looking over at her brother who looked just as helpless as she did.

"I.. I'm not sure I fully understand either.." Kai responded quietly, offering a hug since he knew his sister would need one.
Akira immediately hugged him tightly, burying her face into his chest.

"I-... what should we do-? Your an underground hero so you won't be affected by the public but I... What do I do...?" Akira asked him, she felt so lost in that moment.

"Akira... look at me.." Kai says softly to her. "We'll get through this okay...? You'll probably just have to work twice as hard to get their trust back.." Kai said softly. Oh but Akira didn't like that answer. Tears formed in her eyes.

"You don't get it Kai... Any good we I've done will all disappear... Because now when they look at me all they will see is my father... not the hero that I am... Why should I have to work twice as hard if I'm only going to reach half as far...? When they look they'll never see me..."

The news came back on after the commercial break and where now interviewing people's opinions on this sudden shock. "You cannot trust a murderer's kid. She's going to end up exactly like her father! Watch your back, she's got evil hidden inside. Hide the kids! Hold them near, no one's safe so long as she's here!" Someone on the news said.

"... They're just being over dramatic..." Kai mutters quietly as he gently runs his hand through Akita's hair, trying to help her calm down.

Then the TV switched to another person. "Turn your back, let her rot! She has the exact same ambition that he's got. Guard the city, chase her out! No one is safe!"

Kai growled before grabbing the remote and turning the TV off. "Don't let them get to you... Please, we can prove them wrong, I know we can. And you aren't going through this alone... I'm here for you okay...? I'm your brother.. Once they've seen the mistake they've made they'll come running back. I promise. Don't let them get through." Kai says softly to her, holding her close to him protectively. "Just... try to relax for now. We can stay home today okay? I don't want to risk you going outside with all those people who are turning on us at the moment..."

Kai looks down at her with an understanding gaze as he continues to gently run his hands through her hair before gently grabbing her chin and having her look at him then places his hands on her shoulders. "And that's why we will prove them wrong. We won't let them get through to us. I would hate to see you let them clip your wings when you can simply fly out of their reach. Don't let them trap you..."
