Elves at The Carnival.

I mean, this is kind of a modern AU, though they're super naive and immature and Sigel and V'uz are just those oldies that arent really old but they are? Idk. LunaHexa

Elias had never thought he'd be convinced to go to the carnival. Him and Tso'sun had planned to have one of their very rare, lazy, and snack-y days. The terrible responsibility of both of their jobs as police officers always prevented them from having the cuddles and binge-watching they enjoyed. The one day they got off of work at the same time, the one day they could have their lazy day, K'yorl forced them to go to the carnival.

He had told them that he needed to get the babies, Zilva and Jevan, out for a while. Elias, loving the two children more than he loved himself, and Tso'sun, the uncle, were forced to be okay with it and go. V'uz had been peeping into the conversation every once in a while, adding small convincing details.

The group chat the friends shared was unbelievably annoying, mostly because Elias's phone was a piece of shit that couldn't mute things. Always vibrate or sound. So, whenever the couple had finally managed to find some privacy, the group would butt in and add a new thing to everyone's calendars. When K'yorl spammed for about an hour straight, Elias left his phone in the other room.

So, now that Elias and Tso'sun were being dragged to the carnival, they had to witness the group chat in live-action. K'yorl would be the excited person he tended to be in new experiences, V'uz would be annoying and cold, Tso'sun would probably steal food from anyone. Except babies.

The fact that Elias always managed to drag Phantom places, with the help of Tso'sun of course, was still a shock for a lot of people. Tso'sun had a great skill for convincing people to do things, especially his father. Sigel would let out the frustrated groan before giving in, caring more about his son than anything since his wife had died.

Tso'sun, as Elias had expected, had immediately bought cotton candy until he ran out of cash. Elias had always given in when he asked for treats, so he promised him more later. He had planned to hold his hand so he didn't lose him, but he had so many cotton candy sticks that he had to wait until the nearest garbage can. The poor guy would be puking his guts out after the first roller-coaster.

V'uz was continuously flicking her son's head because he kept grabbing at her round sunglasses. She looked like the classic famous mom, walking around with her Starbucks cup with bland contents and her hair pulled up in a sloppy bun. K'yorl was looking like the normal goofy husband as he went from ride to ride, buying tickets for each one.

Elias looked at Tso'sun, taking the last two things of cotton candy. "All done,"

Tso'sun whined. "Why?"

"Because it's time to go on a ride," he said, shoving the cotton candy into Phantom's arms as she stepped away from the shooting bar.

Tso'sun grinned. "Oh. Okay,"

Elias grinned and grabbed his hand, dragging him towards the ride labeled "Ring of Fire". The ride was literally a loop with a track and a Cart, the cart going around the loop and randomly stopping. Sometimes it stopped upside down, which Elias wasn't necessarily thrilled for, but Tso'sun looked giddy.

Elias bought them a water before getting in line with Tso'sun, sitting on the chains that kept the lines in order.

"That's not a good idea," Tso'sun reprimanded, snatching the water from his hand and taking a large drink.

Phantom tapped Elias's shoulder. "I have found a ride I am very good at." She held a stuffed animal, "I shot at many ducks."

Elias blinked. "I think you're talking about the shooting games. And it's easy to get a stuffed animal," he said.

"I have won seven,"

"...okay. Well, go win Tso'sun one so I have a present for him on our anniversary."

Phantom scowled. "I will do no such thing."

Tso'sun nodded. "I deserve a real present. Not something Phantom won with two dollars." He said, wrapping his arms around Elias's waist and squeezing him.

He groaned. "You're too strong for hugs," he pouted, tilting his head back to look at him.

"Where'd you put my cotton candy?"

"The garbage."

"No," he whined, squeezing him again. Elias squirmed and tried to push his arms off so he could escape.

"I will go buy you cotton candy if you give me the money for it, but also for more duck shooting." Phantom said solemnly.

Elias raised his eyebrows and looked at Tso'sun, the older male's grip slackening. "Deal. Toss in a slushie," he pulled Elias's wallet out of his pocket and he gaped, watching as he handed over his only twenty.

Phantom nodded in thanks and walked away again. "Are you kidding me?" Elias pouted. "Why didn't you just give her your debit card?"

He shrugged. "I spent too much money and you always buy me stuff anyways."

"Don't take advantage of my love-!"

K'yorl whooped and hopped in line behind them. His hair was messy from having been blown all of the place during rides. "You guys know if this one is any good?" He asked, punching his brothers shoulder.

Tso'sun rubbed his shoulder as Elias answered. "It looks fun. I assume you'll do it either way." He said

K'yorl nodded, "I have tickets already so cya!"

The couple frowned as K'yorl darted down the line and to the gate. The carnival employee took his ticket and let him through. As soon as the ride ended, he climbed in. He was grinning wildly as it took off, shooting up the loop and his two hundred pound body slammed up against the guard rails that kept him locked inside of the ride. He whooped more as it went around, his eyes widening slightly when it halted upside down.

"Is it broken?" You could hear him asking, a loud swear escaping his lips when it started again.

By the time Elias and Tso'sun got to the front of the line, they were both nervous. They climbed into the seats and pulled the four guard rails down around them, Tso'sun clinging to his hand anxiously. The ride started off just as quickly as it had for K'yorl, zooming up the track and upside down. Tso'sun's grip was deathly tight as they went around the loop, Elias barely holding in the barrage of swears that almost escaped his pressed lips.

Tso'sun let out a shout of fear when it halted, his weight thudding against the guard rails. His eyes were wide and he nearly screamed when the ride started up again.

Meanwhile, Phantom was expertly shooting the ducks and winning prizes, not planning on getting the food and drink for Tso'sun. Half the money was gone as she started stuffing the stuffies in a garbage bag she'd asked maintenance for. Little kids had asked her for help and she'd been tempted to just look at them menacingly, but instead she just gave each one  the easiest earned thing she had.

V'uz was relaxing with her Starbucks and Sigel, not even moving to help as Zilva fussed and squirmed in his arms. He looked strangely desperate as she watched amusedly. Jevan was watching the rides with fascinated blue eyes. Every once in a while K'yorl stole him and went on some kiddy rides with him, bringing him back exhilarated and happy.

By the time Tso'sun and Elias got off the ride, they were terrified. But they still wanted to try another ride, so they got in the shortest line. It probably would have been nice for them to know that it was the smallest line because everyone  was terrified of the ride, but they ended up hopping on anyways. It started off just jerky and turny, but then they started up a hill.

Tso'sun laughed at the peace and slow moving of the track. "This is so fun," he said honestly. "I'm surprised there wasn't a bigger li-" he cut himself off with a scream and Elias laughed before swearing his bottom off, clinging to the handles on the guards.

The ride dropped so suddenly that their heads were forced downwards and they both screamed their heads off, unable to lift them. The drop ended and they looked up, mortified as they pulled up to the boarding station.
