There are very few monsters left in the Underground. Those who stayed are those who severly disliked humans, or who were too afraid and not used to change. You wish to be on the surface, where it isn't dangerous to go out alone, or where you have to fight to survive. Even Snowdin is hostile now. One day you sneak into the RUINS to try and maybe climb out of the Underground from there, when-
