Thoughts:

Roland: I like the cover. It reminds me of little red riding hood except her hair is the hood part. Haha.

Lear: Her red hair stuck out. I don't like it much. For a werewolf book, it could be done, what's the word, better.

Roland: Oh, how so?

Lear: I don't know. Maybe throw in an unearthy look or something that makes it stand out other than her red hair.

Roland: Well I like it. I can tell the story is about a young lady.

Lear: Can we talk about her neglectful parents. I mean come on. They're lawyers...some of the best...we may need them later Mr. Roland, what do you think?

Roland: I think we are off topic here a bit. Mr. Lear. We'll worry about our legal affairs later. Right now we are discussing this lovely book.

*clears throat* I must said to leave a teenager alone for a whole weekend is no big deal. But I wouldn't do it. Not with the kind of world she lives in. At least in roll her into my gifted school.

Lear: Stop recruiting. We are not here for that. But I do agree about leaving her alone. She is a young lady after all. Then this guy shows up from her past.

Roland: She showed great respectability when dealing with her friend.

Lear: Yeah, but look where that landed her. Right in a mess of a group of isolated werewolves.

Roland: They have redeemable qualities. They gave her a lovely room.

Lear: After finding out she didn't fully understand what's happening around her.

Roland: They were nice werewolves who treated her like someone.

Lear: They only doing that to make her feel comfortable I'm sure. You know how some werewolves are toward humans.

Roland: *pouts*

Lear: What I'm just saying.

Roland: Emma, Camyrn, and Louis seem nice.

Lear: All the same.

Roland: Jeremy could use a few lessons in the art if treating others kindly instead of laughing at their misery.

Lear: I agree. I could teach him a few things.

Roland: Poor Kevin. I feel for the lad. He's been placed in a difficult situation and I'm not just referring to his current situation of being held by intelligent werewolves. Mentally, I think he's handling this quite well.

Lear: Kevin's bond with Samantha is indeed intriguing. I got a feeling it has something to do with their blood oath as children. It wouldn't surprise me if that's how Samantha is able to see through his eyes.

Roland: *smiles broadly* Friends by blood. The title is beginning to make a bit of sense when you explain it that way.

Lear: Can we talk about that escape plan. It was one of the unique things about this story. I'm guessing magic or spells in the form of paper.

Roland: I've heard of witches using that sort of enchantment. Wonder if they are using witches to help them.

Roland: Overall, this is a interesting story. There were minor errors, but it didn't take away from the story.

Lear: Those errors still need to be fixed though. A book is only perfect when is it's errorless.

Roland: So far, I'm enjoying Friends by Blood. I'm eagered to see what the author has plan for future chapters. Like will Sammie get capture and drained by the vampires? What will happen to her friend, Kevin? I do hope he doesn't meet a awful end.

Lear: For me, I want to see more about what this Jeremy guy is plotting with both Kevin and Samantha. He seems to have an agenda up his sleeves.

Roland: *looks at Lear* My favorite character is Samantha tops. She's a human who's handling learning about the supernatural world well. I mean most humans would freak out by now or try to get as far away as possible...or try to ignore it.

Lear: It's still too early for me to decide on a favorite character. Though the vampires attacking the werewolf pack like that does catches my interest a tap bit. Doesn't vampires have a smell? How were they able to get by the werewolves so easily?

Roland: The chapters are too short.

Lear: Yes I must agree. The chapters are to short. This story was a quick read in my opinion. There wasn't much to review, but it did capture my attention just a little bit.

Roland: Well I for one enjoyed reading it. And will continue reading it. *winks*

So what do you guys think of the Deans review of Friends by Blood? Accurate? Boring?
