I slowly opened my eyes and saw the Tv sitting on the cabinet, The Ellen show playing on the Tv. I remembered I must have fallen asleep as my eyes were heavy. My body was pressed against my white couch and I sat up running a hand through my hair.
I suddenly froze, seeing a figure out of the corner of my eye sitting at the other end of the four seater lounge. In a swift movement green hues shoot a small dagger towards the person only sitting two seats away. I turned my head quickly and saw the tip of a blade just daring to touch the skin of a forehead.
"Whoa, whoa chill out," Peter exclaimed slipping down the couch to escape the blade. I quickly brought the knife back to my hand.
"You scared me Pete don't do that." I hissed standing to my feet, Peter sat up with a stupid look on his face.
"Uh, I just thought I'd swing by and you were asleep so I kinda just sat here and then you almost turned me into a kebab." Peter spoke quickly. I blinked at him a few times trying to understand the jumble of words he had just spoken.
"I need a coffee," I stated randomly. "I didn't know you drank coffee," Peter pointed out. "I do now."
Peter and I sat in a booth at a nearby coffee shop, I sipped on my heat filled coffee nervously while Peter eyed me strangely. The waiter placed his chocolate milkshake in front of him and he thanked them kindly.
"Whats going on with you?" He questioned taking a sip of his drink through his straw.
"This entire day has just been weird. I have this feeling, a bad feeling that something is going to happen. You know when you are walking downstairs and you miss the bottom stair and then you have this moment of panic before your feet hit the ground? Well that moment of panic is just on constent repeat." I say looking into Peter's eyes. Peter stared at me for a moment as if he was trying to process what I had said.
"You probably think I am crazy," I chuckled looking down at my freshly brewed coffee. "Would never think that." Peter says offering a comforting smile.
"I feel like you are my therapist." I joked taking a sip of my coffee. Peter chuckled a little at my remark.
"So what you up to tomorrow Pete?" I say desperate to change the subjects from my own issues.
"Just some stupid field trip I don't want to go on." He shrugged. I received a text and I opened my phone seeing Tony had messaged me asking me to go grocery shopping. He only asks me to do things like that because he knows I like grocery shopping, mostly because I get to learn things about complete strangers. So many different people have lived so many different lives, people fascinate me everyone of them so different to the last. I quickly replied to Tony's message and shoved my phone in my back pocket. Getting our drinks in a to go cup was a good idea after all.
"Wanna come to Walmart with me?" I asked Peter as I stood up from the booth. "Uh, yeah sure." He answered a little confused.
I strolled down the aisles gently pushing the shopping cart along the tiles floor, Peter followed closely with his hands shoved in his pockets.
"You good there spidey?" I asked looking over my shoulder to see Peter not paying much attention to where he was walking, causing him to walk straight into a shopping cart filled with cans an employee was stacking in the shelves moments ago. Peter snapped out of the trance he was in and apologied to the shopping cart before escaping the embarrassing scene even through Peter and I were the only ones in the aisle.
Peter walked beside me as if absolutely nothing had happened causing me to utter a laugh under my breath.
"We will not speak of that ever again." He says firmly. I was not able to take Peter seriously and a large stupid smile spread across my face. "You just apologised to a shopping cart." I stated trying to contain my laughter.
"Stop that, what your face is doin' right now, make it stop." He says childishly. Before I could shoot back a response I pulled Peter towards me with such force of my powers he uttered a loud grunt and a large 'whoa' but played it off casually as a man with a grey hoodie speed walked past him. Peter was extremely close to me, his warm breath on my face while he stared down at me questionably. My eyes locked on the man that soon disappeared down the end of the aisle.
"He was going to take your wallet," I stated shoving his wallet into his chest before slowly continuing down the aisle. "Wha- how did you get my wallet out of my pocket? I didn't even feel you take it." Peter questioned jogging to catch up with me.
"I used to be really good at stealing things Parker," I say uninterested. I bent down and grabbed a can of pickles from the bottom levels and threw it in the cart.
"You like pickles?" Peter said with hope laced through his words. "Ew no gross, Tony has a weird obsession with them. What? You like them?"
Peter nodded confidentially and I screwed my face up at him. "You're gross." I stated pushing the cart further.
"Says the one that doesn't like giant pretzels." Peter shot back walking along with me.
"Peter that guy out the front of Walmart offering giant pretzels was creepy," I say turning into a separate aisle. "He looked like a nice guy," Peter defended the man.
"Peter, he was thinking about raping dogs, not a nice guy." I say looking at the boy beside me. "Okay moving on." He says with an awkward laugh. I shook my head slightly at his idiotic behavior and held back a small laugh.
"Do you like..." Peter dragged on thinking out loud. "Mustard?" He asked overally excited.
"I like all sauces, I once drank a whole tub of gravy from the janky chip shop across the road. It was a dare and I threw up everywhere after that." I say casually. "Wha- who dared you to do that?" Peter retorted.
"Uh, that was Finn but then I got even with him and made him run down 24th street in only his underwear. He could have been arrested that day." I say remembering that day where everyone in the alley played Truth Or Dare, that was one interesting day.
"You always have a story to tell." Peter chuckled. "And you don't?" I asked grabbing some biscuits and chocolate of the shelves.
"Yeah well I am kind of a loser at school you know? Nothin' really interesting going on there and then when I am spiderman I only ever help out lost tourists and bike thefts. So I haven't really lived life like you have." He shrugs. "Well for the record Peter, I don't think you are a loser."
"Thanks Bonnie," He says looking back at me and I offered him a small smile until he ruined the moment tripping over his own feet but quickly catching himself before he fell. He stood back up straight as if nothing had happened, again. I rolled playfully my eyes at him and exited the aisle.
Peter and I sat on a bench on the pathway just beside the carpark where my Jeep was parked, filled with groceries.
"What about that lady?" Peter says gesturing to a lady with a stroller across the street, she stood with her phone pressed to her face and a cigarette between her fingers. She seemed to be in a heated conversation with somebody over the phone, I didn't want to intrude.
"Lynn Berker, twenty-six, two children, twins actually. Her parents house burnt down last week but no one was injured. She recently got a cat and named it Jasper." I told Peter. I did intrude anyway.
"That's so cool, how you can just do that." Peter smiled watching the lady across the street. "It's not always cool, when you can hear everything everyone is thinking about you, all the time." I mentioned staring down at my feet that swung back and forth as I was not tall enough for my feet to reach the ground on his abnormally high bench. Peter hesitantly put his warm hand over my cold one, my eyes travelled slowly to our connecting skin.
The streets where still busy, cars honking their angry horns and random people screaming to others, the average noises you would hear out the front of Walmart carpark. It was very noise polluted but Peter and I seemed to have drifted of into our own worlds. I slowly followed my eyes up to his face, his large innocent eyes staring back at me.
"We should probably get in the car it's getting a little cold," I whispered. "Yeah, should do that." Peter answered standing to his feet. A wave of butterflies attacked my stomach as I stood beside Peter Parker, I didn't know where they had came from or why they just appeared at this inconvenient time. I watched Peter walk towards the Jeep, I unlocked it and watched him climb inside the car.
My heart began to race and a flood of adrenaline rushed through my body, I broke into a fast paced walk. My legs taking me to the passenger side door, opening it to see Peter on his phone. He looked at me with a questionable look and I quickly got into the car, straddling Peter's waist.
"Bonnie what ar-" I cut him off by grabbing his cheek with my right hand and bringing my lips onto his with no warnings at all. Peter seemed extremely shocked and confused as to what was happening but it didn't take him long to kiss me back. By his inexperienced hands I could tell he hasn't kissed anyone before, I didn't mind that much because all the other boys I have kissed didn't mean anything until Peter. Peter was special. He was confused and unsure as to where to place his hands until he decided on bringing them to my waist.
His lips where suprisingly soft and the kiss was more sweet then forced or rushed. I pulled away slowly, looking at his beautiful features. A small smile crept up our faces.
"Peter Parker, you are the most beautiful boy I have ever met, inside and out."
