Today Bucky had left to go to Wakanda, he wasn't very happy about it and either was I but Tony didn't like him hanging around for too long. I sat in my lab making web fluid capsules in a small machine as I watched them pop out and into a small sliver container.

I heard footsteps approaching I recognised the person to be Peter, the glass lab doors open and Peter appeared in the doorway.

"I was told to come down here, so...," He trailed off looking around the room awkwardly.

"Uh, yeah just hold on a second," I say. My fingers came up to a transparent screen floating above the table, I pressed a few buttons and Peter's new and improved suit surfaced it way out of the capsule in the wall. I walked over to it, pressed a small button on the arm and the suit folded up into a package resembling a pizza box.

I turned around, giving Peter a look to come over to where I stood. He held a smile across his face for his new suit.

"Take your jacket off," I told him and he followed my instructions. He held his back pack in his hand and I stared down at it.

"Is that your old suit?" I asked and he responded with a quick nod and held it out for me after I told him I would need it. I walked behind him and pressed the new suit into his back, he flinched for a second until the blue and red metals crossed over his body. The metal soon cosumed his whole body.

"Awesome!" He says with excitement. "You want Karen in your new suit?" I questioned fishing through his back pack for the mask of his old suit.

"Uh, yes, uh please. That'd be cool," He says politely. I sat down on my seat and used some tools in his old mask. Peter looks around at his new suit.

"How do I uh," He begins as his hands travel to parts of the suit until this head piece disappeared and his face was visable again. "Got it," He says with an awkward laugh. I looked back down at the mask. I began exracting a singluar wire from the material and held it with tweezers.

"Peter, come here." I asked and he walked eagerly toward me. He stood in front of me with a forced smile, trying his best to be polite.

"Turn around," I told him and he followed my instructions a little hesitantly.

"You are too tall, sit on this." I say rolling a backless office chair underneath him and he sat. It was dead silent for the moments I was implanting the wire into the mesh of small wires in the back of the suit, located behind the neck. I bit down on my tongue lightly as I concretrated.

"There you go," I tell him as I turned around grabbing his web shooter which was only small, resembling a15cm ruler. Peter turned around in his chair and frowned at me, I grabbed his hand and gently slapped the web shooter onto his wrist. I watched it take shape into his wrist and form into a proper webshooter before my eyes.

"Why are you so sad?" He asked. I didn't make eye contact with him, I just let go of his wrist. "I'm not," I simply say picking up the small sliver container of web fluid capsules and handed them to Peter.

"You are, I can feel it. Since the day I met you, it's all you've felt." He says softly. He looked down at the container in his hand and begun to load his web shooter. I looked down on him as he was still seated in my chair, I stared at him for a moment until he brought his head back up waiting for an answer.

"I used to get into a lot of trouble Peter, a lot. But that doesn't matter because that's over now, and there is no going back." I said looking over to a different table and handing Peter another device, a small box of tiny robot spiders.

"They're trackers, you put it in there." I say pointing to a separate opening in his webshooter. "Thanks," He said looking back up at me. He stared at me, directly into my dark eyes as if he was seeing straight through me. I felt so vulnerable.

"Peter, can I show you something?" I softly asked. He nodded softly. "Uh yeah sure," He says snapping back into reality.

"Tony doesn't know, and he can't." I added. "Yeah, yeah I won't tell him." He says. I didn't know what I was doing, why was I showing Peter? Why do I trust him. What am I doing?

I put my hand in the centre of the space between Peter and I. He quickly stole a glance from my face but then looked down at the palm of my hand. A small spark of green pigment flickered in my palm, it grew larger until it was the size of a tennis ball. The green hues illuminated in Peter's eyes as he stared into the small ball of colour. It soon disappeared into nothing and I placed my hand back down by my side.

"What was that?" He asked with wide eyes. He seemed completely shocked by what he had just witnessed.

"It's my power, it's growing and I don't know why," I told the boy. He stood up abruptly from the chair as he flew behind him tightly hitting a table.

"That is so cool, I mean it's not the best colour but that is still so awesome." He exclaims. "You can't tell anyone though, remember?" I say trying to calm the hyper-active teenage boy.

"Yeah, yeah oh wait can you do it again?" Peter asked almost tripping over his own words.

"No! It's not a party trick Peter." I hissed at him. "Yeah, right I am sorry." He says calming down and standing still on his feet. "It's okay," I whispered. Peter placed the small container of web fluid capsules on my desk while he watched me read over a few notes Tony had written for me.

"And the little drone you have there," I say pointing towards the spider on his chest. "That activated here," I say softly holding Peter's arm and showing him a series of buttons on his forearm.

"What do all the other button do?" He questions looking down toward our connected hands. "Uh that one is a parachute so don't touch that, that one makes gaint arms or claws, extend out of your back, it sounds stupid but it could really help you out acording to Tony." I say reading thr notes in my hand. I let go of Peter's arm and walked over to a bench and leant over it and grabbing a small yellow ribbon.

"Any other abilities your suit is capable of will be accessible by Karen." I say emphasing 'Karen' in a comedic way.

"Karen is a good name!" He defended.  I shook my head and held in a smile, I walked back over to him and grabbed his wrist again. I began to tie the ribbion around the top if the web shooter, to where it wouldn't interfere with anything.

"What's that for?" Peter questioned. "Good luck," I simply answered finishing a specific knot that wouldn't untie unless it is pulled in a specific direction. "Just pull that to untie it," I added. Peter looked at me with a slight smile.

"Go get em' spidey." I say giving him a comforting pat on the shoulder. "Thank you, for the suit and, everything." He says. I gave him a grateful nod and he quickly bounced excitedly out the doors leaving me with some dumb grin on my face.
