My head jolted up from the table as two people walked into the lab. I rubbed my blurred vision and saw Peter and Tony, both looking pretty tired. Peter has a few cuts and bruises on his face and Tony came back with a bleeding lip.
"Yous two just fight world war three?" I joked tiredly as I let out a yawn. "Yeah and you slept through the whole thing," Tony joked back throwing his hands in the air. Tony pressed a button on Peter's suit causing it to retract of his body and into its pizza box shape.
"What are you doing?" Peter asked narrowing his eyes on an object in my hand. I looked down at the palm of my hand and noticed a glove, spare parts I was making just incase Peter would break the suit which we all knew would happen.
"Oh I was uh making some spare parts and apparently I was really tired." I say through another yawn. I looked up at the transparent monitor and saw that it was six o'clock at night.
"Well its Saturday night and it's Pepper's turn to cook." Tony announced clapping his hands together. "I think I am just going to go eat pizza in the gutter again." I say humorously.
"Her cooking isn't that bad." Tony frowned. I raised my eyebrows at him. "Okay it's pretty bad. You are luckly that I don't make you suffer through that." He pointed at me and I gave him a forced smile.
"I am leaving now, bye." I say jumping off my seat and walking towards the door. "Hey! Wait." Tony called. I turned around in a huff.
"It's dark out." He says with a frown, hoping I would understand what he was getting at but just to be that great Tony Stark kid I am, I was going to play dumb.
"So?" I frowned at the man. He looked over Peter with an expression of 'how can she be this stupid?' And Peter returned that look with one of 'Don't bring me into this.'
"It's dark and we live in Manhattan." Tony said slowly. "Upstate Manhattan." I pointed out.
"I don't care! Creepy ass men can still walk their creepy ass legs up here with their creepy shopping carts." Tony expressed in frustration.
"I-i could go with her?" Peter said awkwardly cocking the eyes of both Tony and I.
"And what would you do if someone tried to hurt her?" Tony questioned. "I can protect myself." I budded in but it was quickly ignored.
"Well I would go, pew, pew, pow, thwip, and then I'd like; hit that guy and throw that guy maybe I'll punch em." Peter says getting completely carried away with his hand gestures and sound effects.
Both Tony and I stare at him with frowns and narrowed eyes for a moment. An awkward silence fell over the three of us.
"Alright I am going to dinner now, bye." Tony says all of a sudden, breaking the silence.
"Yeah, don't die." I told him as he walked out the motion sensored double doors. "Yeah you too." He added.
"What in the heck was that?" I asked turning around to Peter as I saw him putting on the jacket I told him to take off earlier.
"I watch a lot of movies." He shrugged awkwardly with a small laugh.
We had ended up at a little diner a few blocks away from the Avengers estate I was eating chicken tenders, chips and gravy while Peter sent for a classy burger. The diner was fairly empty a few people around, no old creepy men with shopping carts though.
I was staring at a young staff member who was talking to a fellow co-worker behind the counter. They both seemed pretty young, but once I wormed my way into their heads I discovered that he girls name was Luna Davis, she was twenty-two and lived with her older sister. The boy's name was Hayes Black and he was twenty-three and lived alone with his Labrador-retriever named Dash.
I discovered that he had a huge crush on her and she felt the same but both were too much of pussies to say their feelings. At times like these, I get frustrated but I knew I could help.
"What are you staring at? You look creepy." Peter says. I turned my head to face him and gave him a forced smile. "Sorry what did you say?" I asked and he chuckled a little.
"Are they interesting?" He questions gesturing towards the two behind the counter in deep conversation.
"Very." I nodded my head. "Hayes and Luna both have huge crushes on each other but they are both so awkward that they refuse to admit there feelings for each other. Right now they are talking about Star Wars and how shit the new movie was." I explained putting a chip into my mouth.
Peter had nearly choked on his milkshake and he put the iced drink down and stopped himself from choking.
"Every Star Wars movie is absolutely amazing, the new movie had such advanced graphic and S.G.I in it is was just so awesome!" He ranted out of frustration.
"Oh yeah, never seen it." I say simply. Peter's eyes ran wide and his jaw nearly dropped to the floor. He ran a quick, frustrated hand through his curly hair.
"You've never seen Star Wars?" He exclaims. "You know, out all the days I spend sitting around my house doing nothing, I have never found time to watch it." I stated humorously chuckling lightly at my own joke.
"That is not funny, what if I made fun of your favourite movies like that, huh?" Peter asked drawing up his playful anger.
"Well you don't know my favourite movie, I wouldn't just expose myself to that." I replied bluntly as I took a bite out of my last chicken tender.
"That's so uncool, dude." He frowned slumping back in his chair. "Did you just call me dude?"
"Yeah sorry it's a habit." He quickly replied straightening up in his seat. "So what are you going to do about them?" Peter asked looking towards the two over the counter.
"I could make them tell each other how they feel," I suggested. "What you can do that?" Peter asked with wide eyes.
"Yeah only with weak minded people though." I say with shrug. "They are definitely weak minded." He said still salty about them hating on Star Wars.
"Okay relax," I chuckled slightly. I finished my vanilla milkshake which Peter made fun of me for getting because apparently vanilla was 'boring' and I stared down at my empty plate. Peter was just finishing his last bite as I sat up from the booth we where seated in. I walked towards the counter and Luna quickly broke away from conversation to serve me.
"How was your meal?" She asked sweetly as she put her head down to type into the cash register . "It was good thank you." I replied and I felt Peter's presence behind me.
"That will be $36.50, thank you." She smiled flashing me her perfect straight teeth. I handed her the money and as she was inserting it into the cash register I turned around to give Peter a mischievous look. I faced back to Luna just as she handed my receipt I grabbed her wrist immediately throwing her into a trance, everything else around us stopped in time. Her brown eyes flashed a colour of green while I whispered her instructions to her. And as if nothing had happened the world resumed and I thanked her once again.
I stepped backward to stand next to Peter as I watched Luna turn around and walk the few steps to Hayes. Something moderately unexpected had happened when Luna aggressively began to kiss him, he didn't back down though. They both began to violently kiss on the kitchen counter, I slowly looked over to Peter.
"I think it worked a little too well." I chuckled. "Yeah we should leave." He said desperately wanting to escape the situation. The second we heard the cook begin to yell profanities at the couple on the table Peter and I ran out the double doors and onto the empty streets.
"I can't believe you just did that!" He laughed, his voice echoing down the street.
"I didn't know that would happen!" I exclaimed. I stopped walking and stood beside a parked car. The streets were damp as it was only raining about an hour ago, the cool breeze wrapped it's arms around me.
I looked down at my phone, it illuminated my face as I saw a message from Finn that I had received four minutes ago. I saw Peter stand in front of me staring down at my phone also, I looked up at his face, his cuts and bruises still visable under the dim light. I brought my hand to his face and he stared at my eyes while I watched his small injuries fade away, all that was left was smooth skin.
"Thanks." He mutters. I opened my phone with a fingerprint and saw Finn's message.

"I have to go, will you be alright getting back?" I quickly asked Peter. His face fell to a confused frown.
"Where are you going? Who is Monty?" He asked worriedly.
"It's okay Peter, really, I know them." I tried to assure him as I edged further and futher away from him. "Well I don't! Bonnie, Mr Stark said that I had to protect you from creepy guys with shopping carts!" Peter exclaimed speed walking after me.
"I don't need a babysitter," I began walking closer to him. "I am a month and three days older then you, I'll look after myself. I've made is this far by myself." I said angrily.
"Okay, okay." Peter began in a calmed tone. "How about I just tag along as a sidekick? How about that? You'll be batman and I'll be robin." He suggested. I stayed silent for a moment weighing the pros and cons of the situation, I really didn't want Peter to see this side of me. But what would Tony do if Peter gets back without me?
"Fine." I stated in an annoyed tone. "But you have to listen to everything I am about to say, got it? I am not fooling around here Peter we are going to a rough neighborhood." I spoke firmly. He nodded and joined me in walking futher away from home.
