As the two of you reached the top, you removed your sandals and stretched your legs out, sighing. You figured that Rogue would look at you in question,s o you just explained everything.
"Since I can't see anything, my other senses are better than average. I feel magic best with my feet. Magic of all elements and natures travels in the ground," you explained. Rogue hummed in understanding, and you continued.
"I can also sense magic pressure. I can sense when magic is nearby, and whether one's magic is dangerous. Like for you, currently your magic is neutral. I know you might not like to hear this, but everyone, inlcuding you are driven by emotions. Your emotions controls your magic. So like Natsu for example, when he's driven by determination and his feelings for his comrades, his magic pressure rises, and hence he becomes stronger." Your tone grew more cautious, knowing that Rogue would not like hearing from a mere blind girl that even he is driven by emotions.
Instantly, you felt the magic pressure around him rise. You remained calm and collected, making sure not to infuriate him any further. After a moment, the magic pressure turned neutral again as you heard a sigh coming from him.
The cheering of the crowd brought your attention back to the event, and your face brightened as Erza was annouced winner of the Pandemoniom, being the one to defeat all 100 demons. You clapped happily with a small giggle, and you felt Rogue's amused look on you. Your face flushed slightly as you looked at him.
"W-What? I'm still supporting Fairy Tail, okay?" You grumbled. Rogue chuckled inwardly but then frowned as you started saying about how badass and cool Erza was. He suddenly felt like wanting to go out there to show that he's strong too, damn it. He then realised that he was straying away from his original goal. He came to Crocus just to fight Gajeel, he reminded himself. He can't let something like this distract him.
You gasped and froze as you suddenly felt a tremendous amount of magic coming from behind. The pressure was dangerously high. Rogue seemed to sense the danger as well. He spun around and used his cape to cover you as he made sure you were well hidden behind him.
"Sting, what are you doing here?" you heard the raven-haired male speak. His tone was cold and dangerous, as how a mage of Sabertooth should be. You felt the magic pressure from Rogue rising as well, and you trembled slightly.
"That's my question, Rogue. Why are you hanging around that little fairy again?! You're a mage of Sabertooth, damn it! You're the Shadow Dragon Slayer of Fiore; you shouldn't be fooling around with some little girl!" Sting hollered but made sure that he didn't catch anyone else's attention. That would end badly for everyone.
(Sorry for making him so mean! I love Sting tho.)
"Like I said, you're not one to decide on what I do or who I associate with, Sting!" Rogue snapped. Your eyes widened slightly as you felt the pressure rising further. You had never seen Rogue like this before. He was usually calm and collected. "I know what I'm doing, so don't meddle in my businesses!"
Rogue bended the shadows towards Sting, who released bit of his magic. "If that's what you say, I have no choice but to-"
"NO!"
You stepped forward between the Dragon Slayers, your arms opened wide as you faced Sting. Your eyes bore courage and resolve. There's no way you're letting him hurt Rogue. Sting stepped towards you, finding you a nuisance. You locked eyes with him, not wavering from your spot.
Suddenly, he froze in his step.He fell to his knees, feeling suffocated. You let your hands down to your side, looking down at the mage infront of you."I'll never let you hurt Rogue. He's done nothing wrong."
Sting let out a pained gasp as he started to cough and wheeze. "S-Stop.. Stop it..."
(Im so sorry Sting!:-(
Rogue was watching the scene unfold with wide eyes. What was going on? What did you do to Sting? He had never heard of something like this. Even he himself could feel the powerful force of magic that he would've been brought down by if you had targetted him instead of Sting. He took a step forward as he placed a hand on your shoulder, bearing the painful pressure.
Slowly, you relaxed and the presence of intense magic disappeared. Sting shot the two of you a glare before leaving the area, heading back to where the others were. You staggered backwards and Rogue stretched his hands out to catch you before you fell.
"What was that before?" You heard him ask. You looked up at him and shrugged. You two froze as you realised the close proximity. Your eyes widened as you felt his breath fanning against your lips, sending tingling sensations down your spine.
And after a short while, the warmth was gone. You quickly headed to the front, only now noticing that it was the battle between Laxus and Alexei from Raven Tail. You closed your eyes tightly as you took in a deep breath before calling out to the Lightning Dragon Slayer. "Do your best,Laxus!!"
Rogue almost panicked as he quickly backed away to hide himself. Laxus turned towards the source of the voice,l ooking at you waving down at him. He let out a small chuckle before focusing on his next battle.
After making sure that no one was looking, Rogue immediately pulled you near a pillar, sliding down and sat down while leaning against the said pillar. He made you sit between his legs as he covered your mouth.
"What were you thinking?" He scolded in a whisper. You moved your lips and he immediately let go of your mouth. You faced behind to where you think you would be able to face him directly, an apologetic look on your face.
"I-I'm sorry. I just wanted to cheer him on," You said in a meek tone.
And I didn't know what to do when you were so close.
Of course, you can't possibly say that. There'll be questions, and you can't even answer them since you're unsure of what you feel towards the Sabertooth mage.
Rogue let out another sigh. With that look on your face, he can't possibly stay mad for long. He smirked inwardly, deciding to tease you for a bit. That wouldn't be much of a problem, would it?
"That was really dangerous," He said seriously." What if someone had seen us?"
You looked down, feeling guilty."I-I know. I'm sorry."
"You don't sound sorry." He continued. Instantly, your eyes widened in panic.
"I-I really am!" You argued. When there was no response from him, you continued, trying to make him believe you. "Why can't you-"
You stopped mid-sentence as you felt his shoulders shaking slightly. You frowned at him. Is he laughing at you? "Rogue! That was mean!"
He took a short while to calm himself down again before putting on a serious look. You knew he really had meant what he said before. It's dangerous if you two were seen together. But somewhere inside, you just wished that you two could freely hang out together without the need to hide.
"I thought you were mad." You muttered. Rogue arched an eyebrow.
"Who said I wasn't?" he responded, and you looked away.
Your cheeks flushed red as your face instantly heated up. "Meanie."
Rogue smiled inwardly as you puffed up your cheeks with a small pout while having the blush on your cheeks.
Cute.
Wait,what?
No, no, no, no ,no.
He did not just think that.
He's Rogue Cheney, for god's sake.He and "cute" don't go together. But everytime he looked at you, his mind thought otherwise.
He faced away from you,his cheeks warming slightly. Why in the heavens would he be getting embarrassed over you? This is absolutely unlike him.
"Rogue, something's wrong." You broke his trail of thoughts and his embarrassment immediately dissipated. The both of you stood up as you head to the front again to watch the battle between Laxus and Alexei.
Laxus was surprisngly getting beaten up by Alexei. Before the Shadow Dragon Slayer could decide that he was somehow disappointed over how weak the Fairy Tail mage was compared to his opponent, you muttered something.
"All the competitors from Raven Tail are fighting again Laxus alone. He's beating them," You told him.Rogue blinked in confusion and slight suspicion. But everyone saw it. Only Laxus and Alexei are down there, fighting. How did you...
"Since I can't see anything,my other senses are better than average. I feel magic best with my feet. Magic of all elements and natures travels in the ground," you had said. "I can also sense magic pressure. I can sense when magic is nearby, and whether one's magic is dangerous."
Just what exactly is going on?
Right at that moment, the image that everyone saw immediately disappeared as the actual scene was revealed. There, Laxus was standing strong while the Raven Tail mages were defeated, and Alexei's true identity turned out to be Laxus's very own father, the Master of Raven Tail.
He glanced at you who smiled in relief. You really are something, huh?
"At any rate, the victor is Laxus Dreyar from Fairy Tail B!" Your smile broadened as Mato annouced the outcome of the battle.
Your eyes widened as you felt a gentle hand on your head, stroking your hair. It was the same warmth from that time. Your face flushed slightly as you turned slightly towards the Sabertooth mage, and he instantly let go. You hid your disappointment as the warmth disappeared.
Rogue almost jumped when you suddenly turned to look at him, the same faint pink dusting your cheeks. He instantly realised that he was patting your head, and he let go of you immediately, facing away. What the hell is he doing? He shouldn't be losing focus now!
But when it comes to you, he kept on doing the things he usuall don't and had feelings he never had before. What on Earthland are you doing to him?
