I hated the title before and I can't believe I was so stupid and didn't think of "options" instead of "ideas" and then having to clarify asdfghjkl
I hate that these have been so short AHHHHHHHHHHH
Like, it takes up two pieces (front and back) of lined paper, and then on Google Docs its only like 700 words >.<
Also, I swear this book was longer than 17 parts? Has it really only been that long? Feels longer :/
Also to avoid confusion-
Hiccup and Sun are the SAME PERSON, except that Sun is more current, and when it refers to him as Hiccup it has to do more with his past self.
The same is with Toothless//Nightstalker
-------------------------------
"Hiccup. Hiccup. Dear Bewilderbeasts, I'm getting tired of saying this. Hiccup, wake up already!"
Sun shot up and reached for Inferno, only to not find it in its usual spot on his leg.
"Hiccup!'' Nightstalker exclaimed, crooning happily.
"Wha- What- oh Thor. What happened?" Sun asked, but his thoughts were still on that dream- nightmare, he just had.
Nightstalker tilted his head worriedly. "Are you okay? You look upset."
Sun's first reaction was to explain what he had dreamed, but then the part where Toothless was mad at him flashed through his mind.
"No, I'm fine bud. Just, ah, uh, confused."
"You're a bad liar and we both know it. But I'll let it slide, for now..." Nightstalker sighed in his draconic way. "After we saw that... Horrid scene, someone decided it was a good idea to light a barrel of condensed Zippleback gas and you got knocked out by the resulting energy wave. They left this and... and they got Eret and his crew."
Sun cursed under his breath, even though it was obvious that had happened. Their campsite was a charred wreck. "That didn't last long..." the human took the note the Night Fury was gesturing to.
Hiccup Haddock,
I'm not writing your full name out, it takes to long. And writing like this is significantly hard. You were lucky, that you found the deserters first. But as you saw, my forces are a little bit much for a few Riders and their Dragons.
"Oh, just a LITTLE bit much? They overpowered us seven-to-one while we were asleep." Nightstalker complained.
"Showed they are serious. Serious about getting us to Berk and a serious threat. And not afraid to play dirty, either." Sun retorted, silently scowling.
So now what are your options? You don't have many allies left, and I think you've figured out if you go to them then they will meet the same fate as your friends here. Don't worry, no one is dead. Well, there were a few casualties in that little skirmish last night. You must be wondering about my warriors, correct? All will be revealed in good time, my dear Hiccup.
"Is it bad I imagined Ryker and Viggo reading this? This sounds like how they talk. Maybe I'm just going crazy." Nightstalker decided thoughtfully. Normally Sun would make some sort of comment to that, but he was still a little... hesitant to joke around with the memory of that nightmare still lingering.
Sun tapped his thigh in thought. "No... hm... No, it's not bad. You're right. That is how Viggo and Ryker talk. Heck, when we first met, I swear Viggo said that exact same thing to me!" Sun stated, getting a little excited for some reason.
"At least no one's dead."
Hiccup didn't reply for a moment. "That boy...?"
Toothless's eyes widened and he cooed. "He wasn't there when I woke up... They must have taken his body..."
"Toothless, we're running out of options, fast. Clearly we're overpowered with no base, no resources, and no allies. I think it might be time we try Berk."
Nightstalker growled, immediately not liking the idea, and the scene from his nightmare flashed through Sun's mind again.
"Last time we were there we said we weren't coming back."
"But what other choice do we have?! I'm not going to let anyone get hurt because we're too afraid to face our pasts. Heck, I don't even remember most of it! What else can we do bud? I'm out of ideas." Sun said, lowering his voice.
He didn't care that there was probably wild dragons or spies around, it was true.
He was beat, he'd never have options taken away so fast before. In Berk the options were always limited for him, but at least they were always open. And when Toothless and him finally got off the Red Death island, possibilities seemed infinite.
Nightstalker sighed in his draconic way and cooed, dismally agreeing. "I don't like this-"
"Me neither bud."
"AT ALL, but I see your point. Fine. Let's go back to that hidden helhole of an island."
