The alarm rang at 7:00 a.m. I woke up, took a shower, flung open my wardrobe and decided to wear something great after all it's a new year at school. I brought out my white crop top and a blue high waist jeans and wore a blue jean jacket, I applied little makeup knowing they will be a party at college today, my hair, I had to search for trendy styles online for it. I looked at the mirror and was so proud of my beauty, then I took a few selfies I took my white back bag and kept some books in it, I wore my black sneakers on my feet and went downstairs to pick my bracelet and wrist watch where I left it on the table last night. I had breakfast and saw mom coming down the stairs

Where is Dad?

I asked.

He had to leave early, he said there was a problem at the company.

There's going to be a party at college, it happens every first day of school of the year.

I got into the car and the driver drove off, as I got to school I knew I didn't have friends yet so I decided to make some. I got into the class and my eyes met with Kyle's.

Attention! All students should report to the main hall with immediate effect.

The speaker said.

Everyone started to leave the class and I walked to my seat, the only available one, I had to sit next to Kyle and we both went to the hall together.

Attention! I know everyone here is ready for the party but it would have to be postponed till tomorrow.

I had the first period free because our history teacher wasn't on sit.

I went to the ladies restroom just along the hallway, after using the toilet. I went to the sink to wash my hands and looked at my face in the mirror and decided to wash the makeup off since it was no use.

I don't really like makeup because it gives me a whole different face.

I'm so beautiful the way I am, tall, light browned in complexion and slim.

I wiped my face with a tissue and disposed it off. I went back to class and heard everyone singing the class was so lovely and entertaining. I went over to my seat and sat down.

Hey guys, it's the principal.

Someone said and everyone kept quiet and ran to their respective seat and brought out a book pretending to be reading.

I not sure what's going on, just sat down there looking.

The class chorused as the principal was sighted in front of the class.

Morning students, we have a new member here at Sunshine Academy and she happens to fall in this class.

He said and gestured for someone to come in and the girl worked in, not short, neither tall, a little dark in completion with short black hair, she wote a black crop top and a purple baggy trousers and a black Snickers on her feet.

So this is what delayed our party, this thing!

Someone said from the back.

Her name is Elizabeth, welcome your newest member.

The principal said as she walked into the class to take a seat. She sat at the second row in front of me.

The attendance teacher walked in and called the new girl to come out and introduce herself. Everyone put on a I don't care attitude excluding I and Kyle.

Hi, my name is Elizabeth, I'm new here but I go by the name Liz. I am 15 years old and I hope I am welcome here.

She said.

No, you're not, find your way to science class, we don't want you here in arts.

The bully of the class, Diana said

Hey Diana be nice!

The attendant said.

Liz not knowing what to do, went back to her sit and the attendant left class.

Then there was an outburst of laughter.

Diana smirked at Liz and walked out of the class.

We had maths today and I found out she was a math star after she got an a+ on the test

Well you want to know what score I managed to get? I got a C. Don't look at me like that, Rome wasn't built in a day at least I'm trying.

The bell rang for recess and the class was evacuated. I sat in the cafeteria eating alone. Liz worked in and was pushed away at every table.

I called out, then she smiled and came to me and sat down and placed her food on the table.

I'm Rockie was once new here, that's the way they treat newcomers, you gonna get used to it don't worry.

Are you in the hostel?

She asked.

No... I'm a day student, I come from home why do you ask?

I exclaimed as we continue to talk.

Seventh period was free for me since I didn't offer the subject economics.

I couldn't go home, afraid of the lectures at home from my iron mom. I worked along the hallway and heard something it came from the music studio. The most wonderful voice I've ever heard was Liz singing. I decided to go in and suddenly she stopped.

Oh come on, you don't have to.

Let's sing together, I can play the guitar, you play the keyboard.

Then we started to sing, a girl heard us and came in, then we stopped.

She said and walked over to the drums and we continued with her drumming.

After a few conversations we all left the studio to our respective classes.

The bell rang and everyone walked out of the history class leaving the teacher teaching. Everyone started going home.

Tomorrow is the party, everyone dress wonderful!!!

Someone announced.

Liz asked.

Yeah, there's always a party every first day of the school for the year but something came up and it was postponed to tomorrow.

I explained

Okay, good night, see you tomorrow.

Liz and Maria said as they went into the dormitory.

Then I saw Kyle.

Hey! Where have you been? You missed a whole lot of classes today.

Yeah, I went out with my friends.

He asked.

I got into his car and then I remembered what I saw on his phone.

The Telecom bell rang and I went to answer it. It was dad, I push the button and the gate opened and dad drove in.

Mr James, my father who I haven't introduced to you yet, he's fair in compilation tall in height and has a little long curly colored brown hair, he walked in as the driver brought in all the things in his trunk.

I screamed and jumped on him

I started to open the parcels. One contained a short shiny red gown, another contained a diamond necklace and the other was a golden pair of heels.

Check the fridge, there's some ice cream, you can take some if you like it.

Like..... I love them!

I explained and ran to the kitchen, opened the freezer and took one big bowl of ice cream and a tray and asked the maid to take my things to my room.

I sat at the dining table with my family. I'm also lucky to have this kind of parent. I continue to enjoy my ice cream as my mom went to the kitchen and told the chef what to make for dinner.

Hey Dad, there's going to be a new year party at college tomorrow so I'm going to be needing some money.

I said with ice cream in my mouth.

That's no problem, I will send you some money later in the night.

Then mom came out.

The chef is preparing something, so you both go upstairs to freshen up and when dinner is ready I'll send for you.

I took my ice cream with me and went upstairs. I sat it on the couch and continued with my ice cream.
