EXTENDED SUMMARY.
Vincent knew who he was. From a young age, he knew that he was different. That he wasn't like the other boys in his neighborhood, or in his classes. He wasn't interested in mechanics or girls. The only thing he was interested in was medicine, and baseball... and boys.

But the latter didn't matter. Not where he lived, not with his career. It didn't matter because all he wanted was to be a doctor. To save lives, and it's kind of hard to do that when everyone is so caught up on your sexuality.

It never mattered, not until he met the oncologist in the hospital he was subbing at. After the orthopedic surgeon had to go on maternity leave, Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital needed a replacement. Lucky for them, Vincent was there to take a call. Thus starting up his midlife crisis.

Before, he didn't care about love. He didn't care to share a bed with someone, or a life. But with Wilson, it felt different. With Wilson, his heart began to bleed differently. And suddenly everything changed.

robert sean leonard is the loml. and dr. wilson is one of my all time favorite medical drama characters. he's just... uGH he makes my heart pound.

anyway this will be the cutest fic. lots of pining, strangers to friends to lovers. sunshine duo bc vince is a sweetheart. like a massive sweetheart. and a workaholic but that's to be expected.

vince accepted the fact he's gay. so there's no internalized homophobia really, just that he's terrified of being with a man. also, james is married in season 1 so i feel like that could be the perfect time to build up their friendship. bc i really think it would work best to have them become friends first.

but yeah ! they're gonna be so cute.
