EXTENDED SUMMARY.
THE WORLD IS A CRUEL PLACE. Gray knew this the moment she started noticing her mother's absence at three years old. While the girls at the park cried to their mothers, ran into their arms, and was comforted by their loving mothers, Gray noticed that her very own mother was missing. It was just her father, and his aunt and uncle, of course. But those aren't exactly the same, are they?

Aaron Davis wasn't a terrible person, not in his daughter's eyes. No, he was a diamond of a person, though still in the pressure stage. He fought against the current of society's standards, refusing to change for other people. He believed what he believed, and he fought for the little people. In Gray's eyes, he was a superhero. In her eyes, he was her superhero.

Even if it was for a little while, he helped steer her mind away from her differences. Away from the lack of maternal figure in her life, the difference in her appearance from her family, and the difference of how difficult grasping a single concept came to her, let alone multiple at one. She knew she was different. She was motherless, and stupid.

She hadn't noticed it until her Freshman year when she was taken into the guidance counselor's room to inform her about her slipping grades. Just like the start of her life, her grades were catastrophic. Without help, she would surely be forced to repeat the year again. And how embarrassing would that be when people realize she's related to the boy genius, Miles Morales?

What else was she supposed to do besides get a tutor? Lucky for her, Mary Jane Watson knew the perfect person. And he just so happened to live near her favorite coffee shop.

gray's full name is colbie gray davis. the characters involved with the story are peter, mary jane, harry osborne, ned, miles morales & family, and gwen stacy ! gray is bffs with mary jane. and somewhat friends with harry, who is third wheel with peter & ned.

i just really love the morales family. and i wanted to give aaron a chance to be a good guy, and,, lets just say that this could be a universe where miles becomes prowler. but that's up to you & how you wanna take it ! but i had originally planned the story to go through homecoming & far from home.

she & aaron have an amazing father daughter relationship too. just for an fyi.
